Jace

I went to work with a happy heart that I finally was going to make Clary my wife like I was planning to do months ago. All I had left was to find the perfect spot and time to do this. I decided to take her to Central Park to her favorite spot and do it there. I just can not wait until tomorrow. After a long shift at work, I walked home to find Clary sitting on the couch with her sketchbook on her lap. She looks so beautiful with the special glow of pregnancy. I went to her, swept her up into my arms, and kissed her passionately."

"What was that about?"

"Nothing, I just really missed you, that's all. How about we go to Central Park to your favorite spot and spend the day together?"

"What about school and your work?"

"I arranged to take off and one day of missing school is not going to hurt."

"Sure, it sounds really great!"

"So, what did you do today?

"Just did some shopping. If you are hungry, I can make you a sandwich."

"No, I am just hungry for you, babe!"

"You know that I am pregnant, right? You are really getting me exhausted with all this lovemaking."

"I have not once heard you complain. You mean to tell me that you do not want this?"

"Yes, I do want you, Jace, always."

Clary

Jace is looking at me like I am something good to eat. Then he acts so cockily asking me if I do not want him.  I will never stop wanting him. I moved closer to him and kissed him. He pulled me as close as we can get and deepened the kiss. I feel like there is something more to Jace than what he is telling me, but I will not ask him. We shut the lights off and went to our bedroom where we lost each other to our love and passion until we arrived at our most powerful bliss than ever. We held each other until we drifted off to sleep. When I woke up, Jace was already up and in the shower. I laid there and strong memories hit me of the night I met him in front of Pandemonium. All I saw was this tall, gorgeous blond with mesmerizing blue eyes and a body that I wanted right then and there. That angelic smile that he gave me when someone called his name and he turned towards the club and runs away. I never thought that I would end up with him as my boyfriend and the father of my baby. Jace walks out of the bathroom wrapped in just a towel with his hair dripping wet. He looks so good and angelic when he smiles at me. 

"Good morning, beautiful. Did you sleep well?"

"Good morning. Yes, now that I have you by my side."

"Go ahead and get ready. I am taking you out to breakfast and then Central Park."

"Sure, I will be ready in twenty minutes."

Jace

Clary walked into the bathroom to shower. I got dressed and picked up the ring to look at it again. I can't wait to see her face! I just hope that it is not too soon for this but this may help with her memories. She came out ready to go and we went and had some breakfast and then walked to central park. We walked around for a while and then went to her favorite spot. I was nervous but was resolved to go through with this. When we were settled, I asked her to stand for a minute while I got down on one knee. She looked totally confused at what I was doing but stood quiet.

"Clary, for the longest time I thought that I had to be perfect. The perfect son, the perfect soldier. I thought that this would get me closer to my family, but then you came and destroyed all that."

"I am so sorry."

"Do not be. You taught me so many things and I was able to express my feelings. When Alec and Magnus got married, I envied them because I wanted that, what they shared. I was ready but the angels were against me. Today I am ready. Clary Fairchild. I have loved you since the first night we met and I will love you until the day I die and if there is life after this, I will love you then too. Will you please marry me?"

Clary's face lit up and tears started sliding down her cheeks. A smile brighter than the sun came across her face. She was absolutely beautiful!

"Jace, I love you so much. Yes, I will marry you! I always wondered if you would ever ask me." 

"All I have ever thought about was what it would be like to spend the rest of my life in your arms."

I put the ring on her finger, got off my knee, and kissed her. My heart was beating so fast that at last, I was going to make her my wife, mine forever. We pulled apart to catch our breaths but held on to each other. Clary looked into my eyes and began talking to me.

"Jace, I remember! When you kissed me, I remember us. Everything! Is this possible that all my memories are back?"

"I am not sure. What did you just remember?"

"The first time I saw you, you bumped into me at Pandemonium. Our first kiss was in the Ops Center, our second kiss was on the street when Simon turned into a vampire. We kissed when you took me on our first date at Williamsburg, and then again at the lake when you came back to life when I made the wish to Raziel. The first time you made love to me and after we came back from Edom. The hardest kiss was the night I lost my memories because I did not think I would ever be able to kiss you again. You have been my life, Jace, my everything. Nothing will ever keep me away from you again. Not the angels, or demons, nothing."

"Clary, I love you so much. I will never lose you again. Never!"

I kissed her again and again. We decided to head back home. She wanted me to call the others and ask them to stop by the apartment. As we were walking, she felt a sharp pain in her neck and screamed out. When I looked at her neck, her Iratze rune showed up. This was the first rune I had drawn on her and it was the first to appear. We ended up home and as soon as she walked in the door, she fell to her knees crying. I got down on my knees and held her to my chest.

"What is wrong, Clary, is something wrong with the baby?"

"No, of course not. I am getting my runes back and I do not want them. Jace, you just got de-runed to be with me and now the angels are giving me the runes back. The hell with the angels, because I do not want to be a Shadowhunter. All I want is this, you and our baby, and peaceful mundane life. If they come back, I will go to Idris and ask to be de-runed too. I will not go back to a life that can take you away from me at any time they please."

"Whatever you want, my love. It will be your decision. I just texted Izzy and they will be here in an hour."

"That is great! I can't wait to tell them that my memory has come back. Oh, it hurts! Another of my rune just appeared! No, Jace, I do not want this. Not now, not ever. All I want is you. I am not going to lose you again!"

"You will never lose me again. I love you and I am going to marry you. We are going to give our child a good and peaceful life. Even if we have to move away to where there is not an Institute or Shadowhunters. I promise."

Clary threw herself in my arms and held on tight to me. Just as I kissed her forehead, there was a knock on the door. I went to answer the door, it was Alec and the others. They were early. I motioned for them to come in. Clary went to the bathroom to wash her face and came out of our bedroom and everyone gasped when they saw the runes that she was wearing.

Clary

Everyone walked in and was gathered in the living room when I came out of the bedroom. Izzy was the first to see my rune. I purposely changed into a tank top so that they can see my runes. I just hope that they will not be disappointed in Jace and me about our decision.

"By the angel, are those runes I am seeing? Izzy spoke softly.

"Yes, they just started appearing. I took Clary to the park and asked her to marry me. When I put the ring on her finger and kissed her, her Iratze rune appeared exactly where I drew it. Then when we got home, the second one appeared."

"I asked you here to give you the news that my memories are almost all back. I remember everything about my life with Jace and a lot about you guys!"

"What is that on your left hand?  It is about time! You and Jace deserve some happiness after all you have been through for the past year.  He told us that he proposed. Let me see that ring! Oh, Jace, you picked the most beautiful ring!"

Izzy grabbed my hand to look at the ring and then gave me a big hug. All the others filed along and congratulated both Jace and me. Then I cleared my throat because I had to let them know my decision.

Everyone looked at me and I asked them to sit down. Once everyone settled down, I started to let them know what I had to say.

"It was a surprise that Jace proposed to me, but I am really happy that he did. His act of love for me of getting de-runed for my sake, and giving up everything he ever loved for me, is something that I will always carry in my heart. I love him more than my life and I know that I belong by his side forever. That is why I have decided that if my runes all come back, I will go to Idris and asked to be de-runed too. I want this life with Jace with no demons or the complications of being a Shadowhunter. All this would lead to is death and destruction, but losing Jace will be the worst of all. If this is selfish then so be it, but I will never lose Jace again, ever."

 Simon was the first one to speak up.

"Clary, you do not have to look for us for any kind of approval. Ever since you joined the Shadow World, all you have done is run from one monster or another. You learned that your father was a psychotic criminal, your brother was a demonic and insecure jerk. You lost your mom and Dot. The best thing about this whole world is that you found a man that loves you more than life itself. You found Jace and deserve to be happy. Get de-runed, get married, and be happy Clary. That is what I want. That is what we all want for you and Jace."

"Clary, you and Jace deserve to be happy, together. I will miss my big brother but seeing him this happy means a lot to me. You have changed him in ways that none of us could."

"I agree with Izzy. I miss my Parabatai, but seeing my brother this happy is all I care about."

This has turned out to be the happiest day of my life.
