He walked up to Izzy and gave her a hug then shook hands with Magnus and Alec I asked him to sit down but I stood in front of him to tell him my story.

"Babe, a couple of hours after you had left for work, I got a craving for chocolate donuts and coffee. So I decided to walk to the coffee shop. Something made me grab my stele to glamour my runes but I also took my kindjals with me. When I stepped outside, I had this weird feeling that I was being watched. I looked around carefully to see if there was someone or something around but I did not see anything out of place so I walked to the coffee shop and got what I wanted. When I left the shop. I got the feeling that I was being followed but when I looked around, I did not see anything. I was busy looking behind me that I got too close to the alley's entrance when you grabbed me. A shapeshifter that looked like you. At first, I really thought it was you, but he said something that confirmed that it was not you."

"What did it say to you?"

"That you did not like your job because it was boring."

"You told me that you like your job because you enjoy cooking and keeps you really busy where time goes by so fast for you to come back home to me."

"Clary, what happened to the demon?"

"Well, as soon as those words came out of his mouth, I sent it straight back to hell. I knew I had to attack it quickly because I could not risk it hurting me or stinging me because of the baby. I will do everything to protect our baby."

Jace

I took my shirt off and pointed to the spot where she had drawn the tracking rune when we were looking for Sebastian. Clary took out her stele and placed it on the spot and then looked at me waiting for me to give the go-ahead. I nodded and she drew the rune on me. I looked at her and saw her runes start to light up in a golden light. I cupped her cheek with my hand as she placed her hand on my chest. I pulled her into my arms and held her while my runes started appearing as if someone was drawing them on me. They were appearing one by one but all were in gold instead of the normal black lines.  I held Clary close to my chest as I watch my runes appear and that included my angel power rune. Then I saw the golden light on her runes start to fade and I placed a kiss on her lips and released her. I watched the golden light of my runes starting to fade, but the runes stood on my skin a golden color, not black like they normally would look. I asked Clary for her kindjals and she took them off her belt and handed them to me. As soon as I took them they lit up and activated in my hands. I was a Shadowhunter but my angel power was my dominant power. This worked as I wanted and now I can protect Clary and our unborn child.

Clary

I looked at Jace and saw all his runes appear. My angel. It was incredible to see him with the runes again without them being marked into his skin. I am so proud that I am all his and he is mine. Now I understand what is happening around us. If this is what Jace can do with his powers and I can create runes with mine, our child will be stronger than the both of us. This is why we are being attacked.

"Jace, I got it. I know why we are being attacked. It's because of our baby, the power he is going to be born with. We have a lot of angel blood that we have passed to him. It looks like he is considered a threat."

"This all makes sense now. We are going to bring to life a new generation of Shadowhunters with pure angelic blood. Of course, he is going to be a threat with whatever powers he is gifted with. At this moment, I think the best thing for us to do is to move back into the Institute where we will be able to protect our son."

"You are right. We will be surrounded by Shadowhunters and will not be on our own. We have the wards and our surveillance team and equipment are the best. No one will not the able to get into the Institute without being spotted."

"I will let the others know as soon as Izzy gets back from the Seelie Court."

Izzy

"Your majesty, thank you for granting us an audience at such short notice. We are seeking important information."

"I already know what you are seeking. It seems your brother, Jace, and Valentine's daughter are expecting a child. Now they are under attack. Am I correct?"

"Yes, and I am seeking to find out is the why. I am sure you might have heard talk or rumors about this. Maybe know who gave the orders for them to be attacked."

"There is a rumor that Raziel has fallen and has been cast down by the archangels Michael and Gabriel. Perhaps that is the place where you need to start. An enemy of the Clave has joined him and is spreading rumors that Clary's child is an abomination that will destroy the downworlders. Everyone is in a panic. Some know Jace and Clary well, but some do not and are taking the threat seriously."

"This was a demon that attacked Clary. Angels do not command or control demons, I do not think that it would be him. I will still look into it. Your majesty, thank you for the information. I will take my leave so that I can warn my brother."

I dialed Jace's number right away and hopefully, he will pick up soon. He did pick up on the fourth ring.

"Jace, I just left the Seelie Court with some important information. The queen tells us that Raziel has been cast out of heaven by Michael and Gabriel. I do not think that angels can command demons but everything kind of falls into place.  Clary got her memories and her runes back before Raziel lifted the punishment. But there are also rumors being spread that the baby is an abomination that will destroy all the downworlders. The ones that are not our friends are panicking."

"By the angel, why would they think that our child is an abomination? We have angel blood running through our veins, not demon blood. No one knows what gifts our child will have. At least now I can protect Clary and our child. If they try to hurt them, they will face my wrath."

"What do you mean by that because you are mundane, Jace. You cannot fight without protection?"

  "I do have protection, my runes. Clary just drew a rune on me to activate my angelic powers and it brought all my runes back, but they are gold instead of the normal black runes. I activated her kindjals, so my Shadowhunter powers are back."

"That is great, Jace, that Clary can still create new runes. What are you guys going to do now?"

"Clary and I are packing some of our things and going to move back to the Institute temporarily. I think it is the best place to be to protect her and the baby until we can find out who is behind all this. I am getting tired of people attacking us and now I am going to end this once and for all."

"I am going to call the boys and have them meet me at your place. You will need an escort back to the institute. I know mom is going to be glad to know that you are safe. She and Luke have both been worried about the two of you. Sorry, but I did tell them what happened."

"That is fine. They need to know. We need all the help we can get. I guess that is why I smelled wolf earlier. Luke must have the pack patrolling our neighborhood."

"I am sure he did. Well, I will see you in a few minutes."

Jace

Izzy hung up the phone and I turned to Clary to tell her what is going on. I am worried about how she is going to react. She is under so much pressure right now and I know that it is not good for her or the baby. I love going back to our old room but it might be too much for Clary after being able to move around in a large apartment. This is going to be temporary and I will have her back into our own little place soon enough. I walked into our bedroom and found her packing our bags. She was sorting out her sketch pads and coloring pencils. She looked at me and frowned which means that I am bringing her some kind of news. 

"I know you are not bringing me any good news. I can see it on your face."

"Sorry, but I got some news from Izzy. You are not going to like this. The Seely queen told Izzy that Raziel was cast out of heaven. He has fallen so this means that it might be him since you got your memories and your runes back without Raziel lifting the punishment. There are rumors being spread that our child is an abomination that will destroy the Downworlders"

"What, he is coming after me and our baby? This is getting me pissed off now. He wants a fight, well he is going to get one. I will not allow him to hurt our child. This is a baby that I am carrying, not an abomination."

"Clary, please calm down. No one is going to hurt our baby. Remember that we are not alone. We have family and friends that will help us solve this problem once and for all. I will protect you."

I took her in my arms and held her close to my chest. The next thing I know, her tears were wetting my shirt. She stood there with her face buried in my chest until she calmed down. I lifted her chin up so that she could look into my eyes. Slowly, I reached her lips and kissed her gently tasting every bit of her. She pulled me closer to her and deepened her kiss, parted her lips for me. We kissed until we were out of breath and we pull our lips apart.

"I trust you, Jace."

Clary

There was a knock on the door and Jace went to open it. It was Izzy, Alec, Magnus, Simon, and to my surprise, Maia and Luke. I ran to hug Maia. I have not seen her in months. "

"Maia, I am so glad to see you! Thank you for coming."

" Look at you with your pregnancy glow! You look great."

"Well, I hate to break up this reunion kiddo, but we got to get you and Jace to the Institute."

Luke came and gave me a big hug and patted Jace on his shoulder. Alec and Simon grab our bags and started to walk out with them. I looked around our apartment and wondered if we would ever come back to it. This was supposed to be the beginning of our new life, but it did not work that way, again. Jace came and put his arms around me and pulled me towards the door and locking it. He took my hand and led me out of the apartment building and down to the sidewalk. The others were waiting in a protective formation with us in the middle. Izzy started to feel uneasy as we were walking.

"What is wrong Izzy?" Jace asked his sister.

"We are surrounded by Downworlders. I have seen shadows behind the cars and saw someone jump from a rooftop to another."

Jace pulled out his Seraph blade and I pulled out my kindjals. The others pulled their weapons and made ready to fight. We kept walking and right before we reached the Institute, we were attacked by vampires and werewolves. That fight ended quickly as we were all trained to fight.  We reached the Institute quickly and walked into our safe haven.
