As soon as Dumbledore and the Minister finished talking to Harry, he went back to the Gryffindor common room, Hermione and Ron at his side.

They sat in a silence, all of them mulling over the previous events. "Where's Abby?" Harry asked after a while. He would have thought, or hoped, that she would have been there for him first.

"Last we saw her, Professor Moody was taking her away from the arena when she tried to get past him to talk to you," Hermione explained before she frowned, "I haven't seen her since."

Harry stood up, "I'll be back."

"Wait," Hermione shook her head. "Where are you going?"

"To talk to Professor Moody," he said simply and she stood up, followed by Ron, "Alone."

Harry made his way out of the common room and toward the professor's office. Harry knocked on the door and he opened it a moment later. Moody gestured for him to enter, "Are you alright, Potter?"

Harry nodded in response. Moody gestured toward his arm, "Does it hurt?"

"Not so much now."

"I'd better take a look at it," he suggested. Harry rolled up his sleeve and the skull and snake marking was clearly imprinted. "The cup was a portkey. Someone had bewitched it."

"What was it like?" he inquired, "What was he like?"

"Who?"

"The Dark Lord," he explained, "What was it like to stand in his presence?"

"I don't know," Harry shrugged as he scanned the room, "It was like I'd fallen into one of my dreams. One of my nightmares."

Moody started shaking and reached for his bottle but it was empty. He rushed over to a chest and searched for a new bottle, "Were there others? In the graveyard, were there others?"

"Um..." Harry began, "I don't think I said anything about a graveyard, Professor."

"Marvellous creatures dragons aren't they? Do you think that miserable oaf would have led you into the woods if I hadn't suggested it?" Moody pointed out, "Do you think Cedric Diggory would have told you to hold the egg under the water if I hadn't told him first myself? Do you think Neville Longbottom, the witless wonder, could have provided you with gillyweed if I hadn't have given him the book that led you straight to it? Huh?"

"It was you from the beginning," he concluded, "You put my name in the Goblet of Fire. You bewitched Krum. But-"

"You won because I made it so Potter. You ended up in that graveyard tonight because it was meant to be so," he explained. He grabbed the boys arm, "And now the deed is done. The blood that runs through these veins runs within the Dark Lord. Imagine how he will reward me when he learns that I have once and for all silenced the great Harry Potter."

There was a flash and Moody went flying into the wall. Dumbledore and Snape entered the room and Dumbledore was quick to grab Moody by the neck, "Severus..." Snape administered veritaserum and Moody began to wiggle, "Do you know who I am?"

"Albus Dumbledore," he answered.

"Are you Alastor Moody?"

"No."

"Is he in this room?" Dumbledore asked and Moody nodded in response. "Harry get away from there!" he shouted and Harry moved away as he approached. The chest opened and inside were multiple chests inside each other until eventually the final chest opened and Alastor Moody was at the bottom along with Abigail.

"Are you alright Alastor?" he nodded in response, "And the girl?"

"She's been out since she arrived," he answered, "I'm sorry Albus."

"Abigail..." Harry whispered as he looked down in the pit. "That's Moody," he concluded, "But then who's...?"

Dumbledore held up one of Moody's bottles. "Polyjuice potion," Snape stated.

"Now we know who's been stealing it from your store, Severus." Dumbledore looked down into the pit, "We'll get you two up in a minute."

The Moody in the chair began to groan. He appeared to be transforming back into himself and he ripped off his fake eyepiece.

"Barty Crouch Junior," Dumbledore concluded.

"I'll show you mine if you show me yours," Barty commented and he rolled up his sleeve to reveal the skull and snake marking.

"Your arm Harry," he stated and Harry obeyed.

"You know what this means don't you?" Barty Jr grinned, "He's back. Lord Voldemort has returned."

"Send an owl to Azkaban," Dumbledore spoke up, "Think they'll find they're missing a prisoner."

"I'll be welcomed back like a hero."

"Perhaps," Dumbledore agreed, "Personally I've never had much time for heroes."

After sorting things out with Crouch, Abigail was brought to the infirmary.

"She'll be alright, won't she?" Harry asked as he and Dumbledore conversed at the foot of her bed.

"She will be, yes," he nodded. "However, I do have questions for her once she wakes up. If you could tell her to come to my office once she's feeling up for it?"

Harry nodded and Dumbledore walked out of the room and in walked Hermione and Ron. Hermione spoke first, "Is she okay?"

"Is she dead?" Ron gaped.

"Not dead, you moron," Abigail said with a groan. Her eyes were still shut as she spoke. "Exhausted, yes. Dead, not quite." Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at the three of them who stood at the end of the bed, "Why are you all looking at me like that?"

"We were worried," Hermione pointed out. Abigail pushed herself up so that she was sitting up on the bed, "We didn't know what had happened to you and after what happened at the tournament...We didn't expect you to get kidnapped."

"I'm not sure anyone saw the whole Professor Moody being an imposter thing coming," she pointed out, "Well, I suppose that doesn't count me but nevertheless." She shook her head and looked around the room, "I'm really getting tired of this place."

"Then stop ending up here," Harry pointed out.

"Oh, like you have room to talk," she countered. "If I could never come back to this room, as a patient in particular, I would never return but I don't see that changing in the near future."

"And you would be the one to know if it would, wouldn't you," Ron commented with an amused grin on his face. "Harry explained what happened to you after you disappeared."

"Dumbledore wants to speak with you when you're feeling up to it," Harry stated.

"You guys didn't tell him anything, did you?"

"No, but I don't think we would have had to," he countered, "It's not as though Barty Jr would have risked getting caught by taking you if he didn't see you as a threat. Dumbeldore was bound to find out at some point."

Abigail swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up. Her head hurt a little but other than that, she was fine. "I'll walk you," Harry suggested and Abigail nodded in agreement.

The two left the infirmary after checking in with Pomfrey, to whom Abigail promised she would come back at the end of the day for a check up, and made their way to Dumbledore's office.

They remained silent as they walked until they arrived in the Gargoyle Corridor where Dumbledore's office was located. The two stopped and faced each other, neither of them saying anything.

Abigail stood up on the tip of her toes and placed a chaste kiss on Harry's cheek, "Thank you." His face turned slightly red and Abigail couldn't help but smile as he cleared his throat.

"Cockroach Cluster," Harry spoke up and Abigail raised an eyebrow in confusion before the gargoyle that was at the top of his office moved, revealing the staircase that would lead to where Dumbledore stayed.

"I guess I'll see you later?" Abigail pointed out.

"Yeah," he nodded in agreement, "Later."

Abigail made her way down to Dumbledore's office and she knocked. Dumbledore spoke up for her to come in and she did. However, when she entered the room, not only was Dumbledore seated in his desk chair, but her father stood to the side of it alongside Sirius Black.

"Dad? Sirius?" Abigail inquired, "What are you doing here?"

Her father frowned slightly, "We need to talk."

The Beauxbatons school walked out of Hogwarts in uniform and the crowd surrounding them cheered. The Durmstrang school walked out a moment later and the crowd grew louder.

"Do you think we'll ever just have a quiet year at Hogwarts?" Ron inquired

Hermione shook her head, "No."

"No, I don't think so," Harry replied.

Hermione frowned, "Everything's going to change now isn't it?"

"Yes," Harry answered honestly.

"Promise you'll write this summer," Hermione begged, "All three of you."

"Well I won't," Ron pointed out, "You know I won't."

"Harry and Abigail will, won't you?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah," Harry agreed in amusement, "Every week."

Abigail nodded weakly, putting on a smile as all four of them looked over the balcony. The flying horses pulled the carriage off and the Bulgarians' ship went underwater marking the end of the triwizard tournament.

The girl looked to her left and observed her friends for a moment. For now, things were simple. They knew he was back but there was no immediate danger. That didn't make Abigail feel better.

Harry caught her watching them and raised an eyebrow, "You okay?"

She smiled tightly, "About as okay as I can be."
