Another Test
I sat in a chair as I was in front of my mirror, brushing out my hair. When I was done, I set the brush down on the dresser and looked out my window. It was still pretty early and the sun hasn't set yet.
"I guess I could take a walk before it gets too dark." I suggested to myself. I stood up and left my apartment, locking the door. I took a walk around the Leaf Village, looking around. "This place is very different from my world. I wonder if there's a girl like Ayano here?" I wondered.
I walked further into the village and until I found myself in a field with an odd-looking stone. "What is this?" I murmured. I examined the stone and read K.I.A.
"K.I.A.? What's K.I.A.?" I asked. "It means killed in action," I turned around and quickly did a shoulder roll, dodging a knife that was lunged at me. I stopped in a kneeling position and got out my knife as I heard laughter coming from the trees.
"Who's there? Show yourself!" I commanded. A rain ninja stepped out, holding an umbrella in his hand. "I don't believe you're from this village." I said as stood to my feet. His headband was different from the one that I have. The ninja laughed at me.
"Say your prayers, little girl!" He said. Looks like this is going to be tough. Because I don't know any ninjutsu or genjutsu, this battle may last a while. But I have my skills, so I have that to rely on. "You'll be the one saying your prayers." I said as I got in a fighting stance.
I ran at him and went to throw a punch, but he grabbed my fist and twisted it behind my back. But I didn't give up that easily. I stomped on his foot, then smashed the back of my head into his face, making him let go of me.
I did a backflip, landing behind him, then covered his mouth as I pulled him back. Before he could try and take my hand off his mouth, I stabbed him in the head and let him fall to the ground. His body hit the ground with a soft thud as I stared at him, emotionlessly.
I gasped when he turned into the puff of the smoke. I waving the smoke off until it cleared. Instead of looking at a dead body, I was looking at a log. "Substitution." I said, remembering from Sakura's studying.
That means the ninja got away. I dusted my clothes off until I noticed something gleamed on the ground. I picked it up and examined it. "A Leaf Village headband." I stated. "Then that means the ninja who fought me, was really a Leaf Village ninja," I sighed.
"I get it. It was another test to prove my strength. Was it a test to see what else I could do or a test for the Chunin Exams? Either way, I think I passed." I said. I gripped the headband in my hand before walking home.
