"S-Something definitely took everyone... but what or who do you think it was?" Toony asked as he clutched his tail in fear.
I gulped as I looked at the portals in uncertainty.
"I-I... don't know..."

"We have to figure this out soon! All of our worlds could be in danger!" Pikachu yelped as he gripped my shoulders in panic.
My eyes widened slightly but I tried to remain calm as I got his hands off my shoulders carefully so he wouldn't panic more than he already was.
"Calm down, Pikachu! We'll figure this out, just stay calm!" I replied as I looked at him in the eyes.
He panted a few times before his breathing slowed down, almost going back to his normal speed.
I sighed slightly, taking this as a sign that he had calmed down enough.
I took in a breath myself and placed a hand on Toony's shoulder to calm him down as well.
"It's okay, we'll figure everything out within due time. Let's just start with the clear information and evidence that we have." I said.
They both nodded in agreement, calming down as I had told them to.
"Okay, so there was blood. So that means that someone was awake to fight whatever or whoever attacked Smash." I said, starting off with the facts.
"Or th-they could've b-been... e-eaten.." Toony shuddered while still clutching his tail.
I narrowed my eyes at him slightly while shaking my head.
"No. There would be more blood if someone died or was eaten. And there's barely any." I replied.
"I get it! So the one who was awake had to be a sleep insomniac or something like that!" Pikachu added while looking up in thought.
I nodded.
"Right! Who do we know here that always has trouble falling asleep?" I questioned myself while also thinking.
There was complete silence for a few minutes as we racked our brains on who could've possibly been the one to leave the blood. But Toony broke the silence before we could even speak.
"Dark Pit!" He imminently busted out.
Pikachu and I looked at him in confusion, raising a brow to his statement.
"Dark... Pit?" Pikachu asked.
"Yeah! I remember Pit telling me something on how he would sometimes find Dark Pit in the living room watching TV or playing games late at night when everyone else is asleep!" Toony chirped, excited that he added a link (haha XD) to the chain of this mystery.
I nodded.
"Okay, so we can start there. Let's say that Pitoo was the one to fight whatever attacked this place. I hate to say it, but maybe there's a trail of blood leading to where he went." I said, hesitant due to just the though of Pitoo being hurt and bleeding somewhere. "Pikachu! You've got the nose for it, why don't you try sniffing it out?" I said, looking at him.
He raised a brow but shrugged.
"I'm not a hound, but I think I might be able to find it if it's there!" He replied with a smile.
"Sounds good to me, we'll look around for anymore clues. Let us know if you find anything." I said.
He nodded, rushing over to where we originally found the blood.
"C'mon, Toony." I said while walking to the other side of the room, searching the ground carefully for any traces that anyone would've left.
"(Y/n)? I-If it was P-Pitoo who got hurt, why don't we see any of his feathers?" Toony asked as he looked with me.
"His feathers vanish a few moments after they leave his wings. Remember?" I said while slightly glancing back at him, seeing him nod in understanding.
I kept my eyes on the ground from then on, searching for anything out of place. Although, there was nothing to find where we had looked, so we went to the other side of the room near Pikacu.
"Hey! I've got it!" Pikachu yelled at us.
We both turned our heads to see Pikachu waving us over to one of the portals, making us hurry over to him.
"D-Did you find a trail?" Toony asked in a nervous tone.
"Yeah, it leads straight for the portal of Kid Icarus." Pikachu replied.
My eyes widened as I ran over to where Pikachu was, scanning the ground. Sure enough, there were small drops of scarlet lead in inside the portal.
"That's not good... Do you think whatever kidnapped everyone is from their world?" I asked, looking at Pikachu.
He shook his head.
"I don't know..." Was his reply.
I sighed, looking back at Toony with furrowed brows.
"What do you think?" I asked.
"I-I don't know either." He replied, nervously fidgeting with his tail.
I looked back down at the small speck of blood, thinking for a moment before standing up straight again.
"Well, he's definitely injured, and we're positive that he went back to his world for some reason, so we should follow him. He probably needs help, whether he likes it or not." I said, looking at both of them.
They were silent for a moment, not knowing how to respond. That is, before Toony spoke up.
"I-If you're going, then I'm coming with you!" He said as he stood next to me.
I smiled at him slightly ruffling his hair and blushing lightly when I heard him purr.
I then looked at Pikachu, waiting for his answer.
His ears flattened for a moment in uncertainty as he looked at the portal, then back at us.
"I'm coming, too! I don't want you guys to die out there." He finally replied with a bright smile.
I returned his smile, also struggling his hair before looking at the portal.
"Did you guys perchance actually come fully equipped?" I asked. It was actually meant to be a joking question, but the tide was turned on my expectations when they both nodded.
My eyes widened slightly as I looked at both of them in disbelief for a moment before shaking my head and quickly checking myself as well. I had my weapons with me already, along with essentials I always bring with me, so I was ready as well.
I took in a breath, narrowing my eyes at the portal.
"Alright then, let's do this!" I said with a slight grin, which was more of a nervous grin.
They both nodded, looking forward.
I closed my eyes, jumping into the portal along with them, unknowing what awaited me on the other side.
