"Pikachu.... How? A-And.. how did you get here?" I asked.
Pikachu's ear twitched again as he looked up in thought.
"Hmm, I don't remember much. All I remember was that I was outside playing with Charizard and Kirby when I started to feel drowsy. We all did. Then everything went black. When I woke up, I was pressed against something fuzzy with something around my torso. I regained my senses and thought I was being held captive by some sort of monster, so I bit it. It let me go and before I could see it, it ran off. That's when I saw you knocked out, (y/n)." He said.
I blinked a few times, staring at the human-neko pokemon with a questioning expression.
"You fell asleep?" I asked, receiving a nod from Pikachu.
I fell silent as I began to think about what he just said. It was strange, definitely, for him to say that he and the others fell asleep. I wonder if that happened to Toony as well.
"Hmm, maybe the others are out here, too. We could keep looking for them here." Toony said while looking at me.
I kept thinking, yet I shook my head in reply as I stared up at the sky deep in thought.
"No, I want to check the mansion again. Pikachu, do you know if there are any hidden rooms in Smash Mansion?" I asked as I looked at him.
He thought for a second before nodding.
"Yeah. There's the portal room. It has portals to every Smasher's world as well as portals to all of the different stages." Pikachu replied.
I nodded, standing up as I brushed myself off before looking around.
"Alright, then let's start there." I said as they both got up.
They nodded in understanding and approval before following me as I began to make my way back to the mansion. We were careful to avoid any monsters that we saw, not wanting to get into a battle in a time like this. This was a matter of life and death, we had not time to be fooling around with annoying monsters.
The mansion seemed empty and lonesome without all of the action and excitement that usually echoes through the halls and different rooms. It was just a shell of what it was before, but I was determined to bring it back to its full glory. I was going to find everyone, EVERYONE. I must find them. And no matter what gets in my way, I will stop at nothing until I see everyone back.
I pushed open the doors again, walking in with Toony and Pikachu as we walked into the living room.
"Lead the way, Pikachu." I said while looking at him.
He nodded, beginning to walk around a bit. He kept walking until he reached a large, blank wall. It had no decor whatsoever, it was just the wall itself.
Pikachu felt around on the wall for a little bit before pressing a finger against one specific spot. That part of the wall then pushed back a bit, sliding to the side to reveal a three by four inch keypad.
"It's to keep out the evil Smashers so they won't try and destroy a world that isn't theirs," Pikacu explained. "Only a few Smashers know the key."
I nodded watching as he punched in a six-diget password. The panel that was over the keypad covered it again when Pikachu retracted his hand after hitting enter.
There were some electronic sounds from behind the wall before the whole wall itself opened up, revealing a hallway going down.
My eyes widened as I stared into the hall with awe since I'd never seen it before.
Pikachu motioned for us to follow him as he walked down the hall casually, making me shake my head and hurry after him with Toony by my side.
We entered a beautifully decorated, huge.... no... gigantic room that had carpet down the center. On both sides of the room there were large portals that glowed purple, white, and pink as the colors all swirled to the center as if they were going down a drain.
"Woah..." I breathed out as I looked around the room in all of its splendor.
"One side is all of the portals to each stage, including multi-player and classic while the other side has all of the portals to each of our worlds." Pikachu explained as he pointed to each side while smiling.
I nodded, staring at everything in amazement. But I stopped when I saw something on the floor. It was near the center of the room, but a bit closer to the side with the other world portals.
I walked over to it, examining it in any possible way that I could at the moment. It was a mixture of black and purple. I concluded it to be from a 'Recium' spell, which can only be casted by extremely skilled magic users or those who use dark magic.
I followed the remnants of the spell, seeing as it made a trail. But the destinations of the multiple trails it made was anything but interesting.
"U-Um... guys... you should take a look at this." I said as I looked at the spell remains.
"I-Is that magic? A-And it makes multiple trails towards.... e-each of the world portals!?" Toony gasped with fear as he looked where I was looking.
I nodded in reply as Pikachu looked it over frantically.
"No no no! This can't be happening! It.... It must've gotten into each world!" He said while gripping his hair.
My eyes widened as I saw another stain on the carpet, except it was smaller and... scarlet.
"B-Blood.... someone must've been awake and tried to fight back against whatever took everyone. Look, there are signs of a struggle!" I said, pointing to a part of the carpet near the blood that was messy.
"S-Something definitely took everyone... but what or who do you think it was?" Toony asked as he clutched his tail in fear.
I gulped as I looked at the portals in uncertainty.
"I-I... don't know..."

Sorry I haven't been updating this in a while, I had writer's block and was busy with another book, so that took up my time. Anywho, I'll see you in the next chapter, Dragon Riders!
