Mini Golf
Scar's Perspective-
Two Months Later-
It was...weird.
Grian became, well at least as he calls it, a Bad Boy.
It sounds like a title a bunch of 7-year-olds picked up.
He seems...happy.
Happy without me...
Scar smiled weakly as he watched Grian joke around with Joel and Jimmy and start to crack up with laughter.
"Scar? You okay?"
Scar jumped and turned his attention to Teagan.
"You've been staring at Grian for a couple of minutes." She smiled, "You wanna go sit with him?"
Scar shook his head, looking back at Grian.
"No, he seems happier without me."
His smile faded as his heart cracked a bit, missing the joyful sound of Grian's giggles as he pushed him around in a shopping cart.
"Well hey," Teagan put her hand on Scar's and smiled, "Maybe you can invite him to go with us to mini golf this weekend."
Scar held his girlfriend's hand, "Only if you're okay with it."
"Of course! Why would I recommend it if I wasn't okay with it?"
Scar chuckled and got up.
"Wish me luck," He said, kissing his girlfriend's forehead.
He then walked over to Grian's table.
Joel had said something which made Grian laugh so hard, water came out of his nose.
Scar laughed, feeling left out.
I wish I was there for that.
"Uh- hey Grian!" Scar waved awkwardly.
Grian wiped his face before smiling up at him, "Hey Scar! What's up?"
"Er- me and Teagan were going to play mini golf this weekend and we were wondering if you wanted to come with."
"The Bad Boys are going to mini golf!" Joel laughed, "That'd be a disaster."
Scar's smile flickered but he quickly pulled it back.
The more he thought about it, the more he wanted just him and Grian.
"Sorry Scar, me and Joel can't go." Jimmy said.
"What? Why?" Joel asked.
"Lizzie needed our help with redecorating her room, remember?"
"Oh yeah."
Grian shrugged, "Well, I'm free!"
Scar smiled, "Great! I'll pick you up tomorrow then."
The Next Day-
Scar put on his hat and walked over to Grian's house.
Grian poked his head out and smiled.
"Still wearing that Bad Boys jacket?"
"Course!" Grian smiled, "It's who I am."
Scar smiled softly, missing all the time he had skipped with Grian.
"So when did you get with Teagan? I never heard about that." Grian asked, strapping into the seat in Scar's mother's car.
They started driving off and Scar caught Grian up.
"And then she said that she really liked me, and I really like her." Scar smiled.
"That's nice." Grian smiled, patting Scar's back, "I'm proud of you."
"And I'm proud of you!" Scar smiled, "You seem so much happier now. Maybe shouting at me was the right decision."
Grian and Scar both chuckled lightly.
"I am sorry about that." Grian said, "But I'm happy it happened the way it did. People have kinda left me alone. And Joel and Tim have gotten me okay with people calling me cringe. Especially now, with the whole Bad Boy thing."
Scar nodded and blushed a bit when he listened to Grian talk.
"And now Nicole doesn't bother me. I mean, she tries, but I always just tell her that everything's bad because I'm a Bad Boy."
Scar laughed as he got out of his mother's car, and they walked up to Teagan.
She was talking with someone on the phone and when she saw Scar and Grian, she said,
"I'll talk to you later, Erica."
She hung up and looked up at her boyfriend and his friend.
"Hey guys!" She smiled, "How are you doing Grian?"
"Better! Much better." Grian said.
"Tinsley says hi by the way." Teagan said before grabbing a yellow putter.
Grian nodded, grabbing a red putter, and Scar followed after he grabbed a purple one.
"Who were you talking to?" Scar asked as they started walking to the first hole.
"Oh, it was Erica. A new friend of mine. She's nice."
"Isn't she a friend of Nicole's?" Scar asked, a bit nervous.
"She used to be but she's not now." Teagan said.
Scar didn't believe her, but they had already started playing, so he let his mind forget about it.
They all started playing and Scar noticed something.
Grian ended up making a hole in one and jumped up, cheering.
"YES!" He shouted, making Teagan and Scar laugh.
"Nice job, Gri." Scar said, ruffling Grian's hair.
Grian blushed.
"What?" Scar asked.
"I- I forgot you did that." Grian laughed awkwardly.
"Oh, sorry do you not want me to- "
"No, no, it's fine!"
Teagan then hit her golf ball.
"Oh!" She said, smiling, "Mine was so close to getting a hole in one!"
Scar laughed, "Guess it's just the Bad Boy who gets is, huh?"
Grian giggled.
"I forgot you're called that now." Teagan said, "I got really confused at who Nicole meant."
"Nicole was talking about us?" Grian asked, his tone changing rapidly.
Teagan nodded as they walked to their golf balls, "Yeah. She said that nothing she said worked on you anymore."
Scar smiled as he patted Grian's back, "I'm really happy about that."
Grian beamed at him, "Thanks Scar! I am too."
Scar smiled and blushed.
Teagan then held Scar's hand as they walked out together.
"Don't worry about Erica." Teagan said, "She said she's not friends with Nicole anymore."
"I've seen her talking with Nicole a lot though. I don't think she changed."
Teagan shook her head, "Trust me."
