Nana Visits
Namjoon opens the door with a wide smile and holds his arms out, "Mom!"
"Hello my precious son," She chuckles and brings her only baby boy in her arms, "It's been so long."
"We visited you last weekend Ma," Namjoon laughs.
"A week away from my boy is enough," she chuckles, cupping his cheeks, "I'm so glad Seokjin is feeding you, you're not so skinny and sunken faced anymore."
"Yeah, he sure knows how to cook Ma."
"I sure hope so, growing in a household where food is important I hope he feeds you well, and my grand babies."
"Ma," Namjoon says in warning, "Please don't start anything."
"What? I'm not starting anything silly boy," she coos, "I just want what's best for my baby boy and his daughters."
"And their mother, Ma."
"Yeah and him too," his mom hums, looking around, "Where is the said man?"
"Getting the girls' bags ready," Namjoon laughs, "when he first told them you were coming over they couldn't wait. Then when he mentioned them possibly staying the night they were thrilled! They can't wait, they love going over to your place, Ma."
"I'm glad," his mom smiles so kindly, her own set of dimples popping out of her cheeks as she done so, "I miss my movie nights with my girls."
"How are my sisters by the way? They hardly keep in contact with me," Namjoon asks, bringing his mother to sit in the living room as they wait on Seokjin and the girls.
"They're doing fine. You know your little sister is enjoying the newlywed life and the other one is trying to convince her husband to have a second baby."
"Oh wow, I hope they succeed. Her little boy needs a sibling to play with and keep him company."
"They will, much like you my sweet," she smiles, hearing squeals and looking over to see the girls running straight for her, "Hello my precious angels!"
"Nanna! I colored you a pretty picture want to see!?" Jiyoo says loudly, which was unusual for the child since she's always quiet and shy.
"Jiyoo inside voices please," Namjoon reminds her and the child shyly hugs her Nanna. Jiwoo on the other hand...
"NANA!!! Are we going to your place?!?!" She screams, once again making Namjoon shush them both and calm them down. His mother wasn't the toughest when it came to holding both four year old children and he worried of them hurting her.
She chuckles, "You most certainly are! And Jiyoo I would love to see your pretty picture, please, go bring it to me!"
Jiyoo nods quickly, giggling and running off to go grab it. Seokjin enters the room shaking his head fondly and chuckling, "Hello Youngji, how have you been this week?"
"Doing well, husband and I are getting around fine," she responds back giving her full attention back to Jiwoo as she drones on about her week at school and playing with Mayleen.
Seokjin smiles, his smile was a little small as he turns on his heel and walks towards the kitchen to try and offer her coffee or tea. She never usually drinks anything here when she visits, but Seokjin wasn't going to be impolite and not offer anything when you enter his home. Namjoon shoots his mother a look and the woman simply ignores him, going back to talking to his granddaughter while the other one enters with a pretty picture she colored for her grandmother earlier.
Namjoon stands, excusing himself to go help Seokjin who is brewing his mother in law's coffee. Namjoon hugs him from behind and kisses the back of his neck, "I don't know why she's like this."
Seokjin shrugs, "I don't know, I'd be the same way with the girls' partners if I visited them."
"I don't understand why though. There's no point, you're just hurting yourselves and the people around you by acting this way," Namjoon says coldly, pulling away, "I wish you all would just grow up and not act like children."
The way he said it made Seokjin flinch and not say anything as Namjoon leaves the room, going back to his mother and children as they chatter excitedly. Seokjin hurries to finish her coffee, then takes it to his mother in law who was telling some story to the girls who were very intrigued by what came out of their grandmother's mouth. When Seokjin sets the coffee cup down to where she can reach it, Namjoon's mother doesn't say anything and just continues with her story.
He just kisses both of the girl's heads and heads to the front door to leave. No one says anything to him as he leaves out the front door and heads towards Mark's house. He doesn't even knock as he enters the house to hear laughter coming from the kitchen. He can definitely hear Mark's laugh, but the other person wasn't Jackson. He walks in, seeing Kihyun and Mark sitting at the kitchen table with camera equipment scattered.
Mark looks up and smiles, "Hey Jinnie! We're trying to get some photos of the beauty shop hung up, wanna help?"
"I got monster in law at my house," He mumbles, looking at the photos, "They look nice though, who took them?"
"I did," Kihyun hums, eager to hear his response. However, Seokjin doesn't say anything as he nods.
"I'm trying to figure out which ones to hang up, which one do you think screams out that it's my shop?" Mark asks, smiling so widely and looking at all of the photos.
"They're all too small to hang up," Seokjin points out, "So I wouldn't hang any up."
"I can blow them up and make them poster size," Kihyun says suddenly, smiling at Seokjin with a little tilt to his head. Seokjin suddenly grew angry, gritting his teeth.
"There are other photographers that take better photos than you and would've blown them up to poster size if Mark wanted them hung up," Seokjin sasses, Kihyun's smile drops and he suddenly stands.
"Seokjin! Kihyun!" Mark calls, "Stop it!"
"You don't even know me, and yet you are hateful and rude to me. Why? What did I ever do to you?" Kihyun suddenly asks, crossing his arms across his chest and stepping closer to Seokjin.
Seokjin didn't like this at all. He hated feeling cornered, and the tiny hamster like man was scaring him slightly with his cold stare and his piercing eyes staring him down. Seokjin jerks his chin up, standing taller than the shorter and looking down at him, "I never liked the fact you thought it was okay to just move into the neighborhood and steal my best friend! You think you're so special just because you're pregnant and new to the neighborhood, but really you're nothing but a pathetic housewife with no job!"
A slap was heard and Mark gasps, covering his mouth and his eyes widen. Seokjin's cheek burned and his anger boiled over as he turns his head back to face Kihyun who was staring back at him, tear slightly welling up in his eyes as he pushes past Seokjin and leaves the house instantly. Jackson enters, seeing Mark still standing there and Seokjin holding his cheek as his face turned dark. Jackson frowns, "Mark? Baby?"
Mark shakes his head, his own tears welling up in his eyes as he leaves the room and escapes the two. Seokjin tries to take his hand, "Markie-"
"Don't!" Mark yells, "Get the fuck out of my house!"
"Mark, I'm sorry-"
"I'm not the one you need to apologize to!" Mark screams, suddenly sobbing as more tears pour down his cheeks, "Kihyun is the one you need to apologize to but your head is too fucking fat to do that and you're too high and mighty to do anything as simple as apologizing for causing shit! I don't want to speak to you until you have apologized! GET OUT!"
Seokjin's eyes water as stood there and watched Mark leave the room, hearing a bedroom door slam shut. Jackson clears his throat, "I believe you have been asked to leave. I don't want to know what happened, just get out."
Seokjin nods, wiping his eyes as he leaves the house quickly and doesn't turn back. He starts crying harder as he enters his house and ignores Namjoon's cries as he heads to their bedroom. He slams the door shut and locks it, ignoring Namjoon jiggling the door knob and trying to get his husband to open the door. He sobs, crawling into bed as he continues to cry and replay what the hell just happened.
"Babe, please open the door or I will break it down," Namjoon calls, knocking, "Please?"
"Leave me alone!" Seokjin screams, "Just leave me the fuck alone!!"
Namjoon sighs, walking away from the door with a heavy heart as he listens to Seokjin sob and cry. He enters the living room to see the girls and his mom looking at him with worry. He sighs, "Come on girls, let's get you guys packed up and headed off to Nana's."
"Is mommy okay?" Jiyoo asks as she hugs her daddy's legs.
"Mommy is fine baby, don't worry about him," Namjoon kisses her head, kissing Jiwoo's also and kissing his mother's cheeks, "Call me if they want to come home or if they need something."
"I will sweetheart, let's go girls."
Namjoon watches his mother drive away with the girls waving to him after they were all loaded in the car. He sighs before heading into the house, his phone buzzes and he picks it up to see Shownu had texted him.
Hey man, what the hell happened? Ki locked himself in our room and won't come out.
Namjoon sighs, texting back quickly then heading inside:
I don't know, but I'll get to the bottom of it.
