"Alright! It's time for our first match! And here are the rules! Each trainer is allowed to use one Pokémon with no time limit! There will be no substitutions! which ever team ends up unable to battle is defeated! and also tomorrow, the winners will advance to the second round of battles!" Enta explained.

"Now today, our first battle will be in the A block! So! It's off to the Pokémon battlefield!" Enta declared.

"Piplup! Spotlight!" "Alakazam! Appear!" Dawn and Shonei called out. The two pokemon landed on the ground side by side, ready for battle. The two opponents sent out their Pokémon, which were Wheezing and Pinsir.

"Dawn go ahead with attacks, you don't have to worry about defense at all just leave that very part to Me?" Shonei planned. Dawn nodded her head as she agreed.

".... sure." Dawn muttered.

"Alright! Battle, begin!" Enta shouted out.

Volt & Viva: Weezing & Pinsir VS Dawn & Shonei: Piplup & Alakazam

"Now, Pinsir! Use Razor Wind!" "Now, Wheezing! use Sludge Bomb now!" The two trainers yelled. Pinsir unleashed the sharp wind towards Piplup, as Wheezing threw some Sludge Bomb attack towards Alakazam.

"Piplup! Use Bubblebeam!" Dawn shouted. Piplup shot his Water Type Attack at Razor Wind.

The two attacks collided together as it caused an explosion. However, Sludge Bomb was still on its way towards the two pokemon.
"Let's show them Alakazam use Safeguard!" Shonei called. Alakazam put up a barrier that nullified the Sludge Bomb attack. The barrier kept both Alakazam and Piplup safe.

Piplup grew surprised as Alakazam smirked. Ash grew startled with the move as well. "What was that light?" Ash asked.

"It used Safeguard because when covered by Safeguard's light, they're immune to changes like poison and paralysis." Brock explained. However, Volt the Wheezing's trainer wasn't finished yet.

"Now, Wheezing Thunderbolt!" Volt yelled. The Poison Type Pokémon shot the Electric Type move towards Piplup and Alakazam again!

"Piplup, dodge it!" Dawn called.

"No need for that Dawn, we got you covered Alakazam Protect if you whoud!" Shonei called. Before Piplup could dodge, Alakazam set up another barrier, guarding the two of them from Thunderbolt.

Dawn grew amazed with the top notch level of defense. "And now Dawn? You're fully free to do whatever you want! I'll be here covering you, no matter what." Shonei called.

"Got it!" Dawn agreed. As the two turned back to battle, Viva, Pinsir's trainer made a new order.

"Pinsir! use quick attack to power your X-Scissor, let's go!" Viva called.

"Piplup, spin and use Peck!" Dawn called. As Pinsir charged for the Bug Type move. Piplup leapt in the air, with a boost from Alakazam, who not just used Helping hand but gave Piplup a boost landing a direct hit with Peck on Pinsir's left shoulder the bug type grew shocked and surprised as she was smashed to the ground. Pinsir fainted by the swirls in her eyes, groaning.

"So Pinsir is not able to battle!" The referee called. Viva grew upset with the loss as Volt continued the battle going.

"Hey Wheezing! Shadow ball go!" Volt yelled. Wheezing spun fast towards Alakazam, even as Shonei only sneered.

"Alakazam, Close Combat if you whoud!" Shonei called and Alakazam ruched forwards Wheezing avoiding the Shadow ball with no trouble before getting close to Wheezing who could not avoid the attack in time.

Alakazam slightly but quickly and skillfully took the needed stance before he began hitting Wheezing with an intense speed making Volt's jaw dropped wide open as Dawn cheered.

Necro tried to count just how many hits the Alakazam was landing but it was impossible since they were all happening so fast..

"Alakazam let's end it!" Shonei ordered with
a short node of his head. Alakazam then quickly slammed Wheezing hard to the ground ending it's combo and making Wheezing faint in the process!

"Wheezing is unable to battle as well! Which means, the winners are Piplup and Alakazam!" The referee declared. Dawn and Shonei's picture with their Pokémon showed up on the giant screen, saying winner.

"And the first exciting battle in A block, has been decided!" Enta called. Dawn grew happy with the victory.

Dawn & Shonei: Winner!

Shonei smirked and looked at Dawn. "So Dawn! wasn't it just perfect like I said?" Shonei asked as Dawn walked closer to Shonei, amazed.

"Awesome! Our attack and defense moves were perfect! Now, I want you to tell Me all about this battle formula of yours! I'm sure they'll help Me in My Contest!" Dawn exclaimed happily while holding Shonei's hand as they left the center of the stage together.

"Wait you're a Coordinator like Me?" Shonei asked, surprised of Dawn's change of reaction. at the sidelines, Brock was impressed with Shonei's skills.

"That Shonei is very skilled with defense that was just next level I'm very impressed! Dawn's got herself an interesting partner that's for sure!" Brock stated.

"You can say that again, Brock." Scout muttered, sighing.

"They're just unstoppable!" Ash replied, smiling. He then turned to Kite.

"Hey Kite we should be doing that too!" Ash started. But then, a Flamethrower narrowly missed Ash as he was knocked down on the ground.

"Whoa!" Ash yelled in surprise. He recovered from the shock and glared at his new rival.

"What was that for!?" Ash snapped. Kite only scoffed before he told Flareon to set down who did as he said.

"Give My stupid Flareon your suggestions." Kite snorted. Necro turned to see a Flareon besides Kite along with Ash.

"Flareon? Wow! You got a strong attack there, don't you?" Ash complimented.

"Flae!" Flareon agreed, with a small smile.

Kite only glared at his Fire Type. "No it's a weak Flamethrower from such a weak fire type!" Kite snapped.

"Flar..." Flareon said sadly.

"Flareon you should be ashamed of yourself you do not have any control over it at all!" Kite just scolded his pokemon Flareon dropped his head down sadly very disappointed in himself.

"Well, I think it was great! Say, why don't you let us help you out?" Ash suggested, walking over.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu agreed but Kite instantly rejected the offer.

"You're actually just like Paul I bet that he hasn't changed one bit, why are you just criticizing your Pokémon like that!" Ash snapped at him while he crossed his arms.

"Paul? but of course, he's My best friend and he knows how to transform a loser into a winner?" Kite snapped back.

Kite turned his head to Necro as Scout stepped by. "Just what kind of trainer are you?" Scout asked, frowning.

"Someone that wants to grow stronger, that's what I am." Kite snorted, looking away, then turning to Ash.

"This is a Tag Battle! Which means we need to work together to win!" Ash snapped angrily.

Kite however only turned away, and scoffed.

"Sounds like you might've forgotten the entire purpose of this competition!" Dawn scolded.
Ash and Kite both turned to see Dawn and Shonei coming over together holding hands.

"Even though you're not good friends, you two should try to work together?" Shonei told them.

"Maybe, Flareon, let's go, now!" Kite ordered, Flareon responded by follwoing Kite and Elekid.

But just before Kite was gone, Ash asked Kite something. "Hey, wait Kite why did you actually enter this thing in the first place?" Ash asked.

Kite kept walking as he answered. "So that I can meet Fire Type Pokémon!" Kite answered as he kept walking. That however left Ash confused.

"Meet Fire Types?" Ash repeated.

Dawn, Necro, Brock, and Scout walked over. "I get it. Knowing Paul, that reason makes a lot of sense." Brock replied. The four trainers looked at Brock in question. "Do you remember the very first time that Paul and Ash had a battle? Back then, Paul used Pikachu's Thunderbolt to power up his own Elekid's Thunder." Brock explained.

Scout's as well as Necro's eyes both widened at hearing that. "I wasn't there, but that sounded both crazy and amazing for a Pokémon to do something like that!" Necro exclaimed. Brock nodded as he continued the explanation.

"This time, it's exactly the same. Kite's planning to use his opponent's Fire attacks to juice up his Flareon!" Brock explained.

Thats when the four trainers understood. "Makes sense, but I sure don't like it!" Ash stated.

"Won't that cause pain for the Pokémon if they try to use their opponent's Attack to make their own attacks stronger?" Scout asked, frowning.

"Him knowing Paul, Kite probably doesn't even care, Scout." Dawn explained.

Scout folded his arms and shook his head. "What kind of trainer does that make him, then?" Scout snapped.

"A cruel one! That's for sure!" Ash answered, glaring to where Kite had left.

(Five Minutes Later)

"Our next match for the first round is D block! So, we're off to the battlefield!" Enta announced. Necro and Scout were facing off against Taylor and his partner, Marcus. "Hey, Scout! Don't even think of trying to go easy on us, or we'll win!" Taylor called. Scout only grinned and nodded.

"Don't worry! Necro and I won't!" Scout smirked.
While Necro looked closer to see that Taylor was wearing sleeveless sky blue shirt, white shorts, a pair of sandals, and a water symbol pendant on his neck. He had turquoise eyes, blonde hair, and a bandaged nose. She smirked, as she took out Bulbasaur's Pokéball.

"It's up, Golduck!" "Go, Dusclops!" "Bulbasaur, it's time to battle!" "Gible, you're up!" The four people yelled.

Taylor's Golduck, and Marcus' Dusclops faced off against Necro's Bulbasaur and Scout's Gible. Necro smiled, knowing that the battle would be a big challenge. "Alright the! Battle begin!" Enta declared.

Taylor and Marcus: Golduck and Dusclops VS Necro and Scout: Bulbasaur and Gible

(In Necro's POV)

"We'll splash things up! Golduck, use Bubble!" Taylor smirked, pumping his fist towards the air. Golduck opened it's mouth and shot up towards the air, shooting Bubble at Bulbasaur and Gible.

"Now Dusclops! Use Shadow ball now!" Marcus shouted. Dusclops mead a Purple ball and shot it right at Gible, just as Me and Scout prepared to counterattack.

"Bulbasaur quick! Use Vine Whip and send them all right back!" I called.

Bulbasaur did as I said and quickly used his vines to send the attacks back, slamming both Bubble and shadow ball at Dusclops! "No way!" Marcus gasped. Taylor gasped as well. Scout grinned happily as he looked at Gible.

"Nice move, Necro!" Scout complimented Me.

"Thanks, Scout! Now then. Bulbasaur, use Razor leaf at Golduck!" I called out to Bulbasaur who shot the Grass Type Attack towards Prinplup as Taylor gasped to see the incoming Attack.

"Golduck, intercept with Water Pulse!" Taylor called. Golduck shot the Water Type Attack, trying to intercept the leafs coming forwards Prinplup.

"Gible, use Dig!" Scout called. Gible then dug down, ready to make a surprise Attack.

"Urgh. Dusclops! Use Shadow Ball again!" Marcus called. Shadow Ball, Water Pulse, and Razor leaf collided with each other, exploding.

"Alright! Golduck, jump and use Peck now!" Taylor shouted.

"Bulbasaur! Use Protect then use Razor Leaf on Dusclops!" I shouted.

Bulbasaur just stood there waiting for Golduck to come close then at the very last minute just before the Peck had a chance to hit Bulbasaur, the light green barrier of protect which quickly appeared around Bulbasaur and Golduck got knocked back a bit giving Bulbasaur a chance of shooting leaves at Dusclops! as soon as the green light from the move protect was gone.
Dusclops winced in pain as it resisted the Attack.

"What! that Bulbasaur knows Protect, that could be a slight problem," Taylor said.

"Well then let's just deal with that one first?" Marcus snapped back.

Prinplup got up again standing on the ground, ready to make another Attack. Suddenly, Gible appeared from Dig, slamming Golduck towards the air. "No, Golduck!" Taylor gasped.

"Now's your chance, Necro!" Scout called. I quickly nodded and looked up to see the flying Water Type.

"Right Bulbasaur! Razor Leaf once more!" I called.

Bulbasaur nodded, and blasted Golduck with the Grass Type attack. Taylor sweat dropped as he gritted his teeth.

"Dusclops! Use Psychic now!" Marcus called.

"No you don't! Gible, use Dragon Rage!" Scout called. Before Dusclops could control Bulbasaur, Gible shot Dusclops with the powerfull Dragon Type attack!

Dusclops lost focus as Marcus turned to Scout. "You're dealing with Me first!" Scout smireked, as Gible glared up at the Ghost Type Pokémon. Marcus sighed and stared back.

"Remember that you asked for this," Marcus muttered.

Taylor's Golduck landed on the ground, panting from the many damages it took from Razor Leaf. "Keep it going, Golduck! Use bubble beem!" Taylor yelled. Golduck shot the water towards Bulbasaur, while I made the next order.

"Razor leaf keep going and send it right back!" I yelled. Bulbasaur used his razor leaf to pop the bobbles like I had Chimchar do the very same thing back when I first battled Scout in the forest however back then I was at the type disadvantage and now it's the other way around and I watched as Bulbasaur's leafs was popping each and every bobble mead at a rapid ret witch mead Golduck struggle to keep up as it was now in turn using bobbles deflecting My attack towards Golduck!

"Golduck, go through it with a spin then use Peck!" Taylor yelled. Golduck spun, using the Flying Type move, to break through the Water Type Attack, then targeting Bulbasaur

"Bulbasaur protect, then use your leech seed" I shouted. Bulbasaur putting the bright green barrier up just in time, causing Golduck to miss it's Peck and get knocked back. Golduck looked back in surprise as the protection of the barrier around Bulbasaur desepered around him.

Bulbasaur shot the grass Type move at Golduck, shocking Golduck towards the ground with the leech seed. "Golduck, no!" Taylor gasped. The dust cleared as Bulbasaur jumped up and down gracefully. It revealed that Golduck was knocked out, fainted.

"Golduck is unable to battle!" The referee declared. Taylor slumped down, upset for his loss.

Scout was still battling against Marcus, with Gible having the advantage. "Do it, Gible! Use Dragon Rage once more!" Scout yelled. Gible leapt in the air and blasted Dusclops away with the Dragon Type move. Dusclops fainted!

"No way..." Marcus groaned. "Dusclops is also unable to battle! Which means the winners are Bulbasaur and Gible!" The referee declared.

Necro & Scout: Winner!

(End Of Necro's POV)

Scout let out a fist pump at the air, beaming at the victory. "Yes! Second round, here we come!" He exclaimed happily.

Necro smiled as she knelt down to Bulbasaur. "Thanks, Bulbasaur. You were so graceful out there!" She thanked, holding Bulbasaur in her arms. Bulbasaur blushed as he giggled.

Taylor and Golduck were both upset about their loss. "Aw... No way! And I thought I would win, too!" Taylor groaned.

"Golduck..." Golduck groaned, imitating Taylor.

"Marcus sighed as he began to walk away, returning Dusclops. "But well... That was some battle..." Marcus muttered.

At the sidelines, Ash, Dawn, and Brock all cheered for their friends. "Alright! What a battle!" Brock exclaimed.

"Necro and Scout really knocked the two down!" Ash grinned.

"Tremendous power!" Dawn giggled. Shonei smirked.

"Hmm I wonder if Necro wanna trade that Bulbasaur..." Shonei whispered to himself.

"Did you say something Shonei?" asked Dawn as she looked at him but Shonei shock his head.

(After Brock's Battle)

At the sidelines, both Necro and Dawn cheered. "Alright! Now Brock's won, too!" Dawn exclaimed.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu agreed.

"This is one of the greatest strategic battle I've ever seen don't you think so buddy!" Scout exclaimed.

"Pipl!" Piplup agreed with a smile. Ash grinned for his friend's victory.

"I knew it! Brock and Sudowoodo were both great out there!" Ash exclaimed.

He then turned to see Kite, who was giving orders to a Flareon. "And now, it's us." Ash replied.

Necro also looked, to see that Kite turned to see them without a word. Necro grew silent, before turning to see the end of the E block battle.

Suddenly she noticed that Kite had a smirk on his face.

She in a way didn't really like that smirk but she couldn't explain why.

(Time Skip An Hour Later)

Few matches had passed, as it was finally time for Ash and Paul's battle. "The time has come for the last of the final first round battles! The H block! I'm sure that this case, last is certainly not least!" Enta announced.

Ash turned to Pikachu. "Alright! you ready, Pikachu?" Ash asked. Pikachu nodded as he ran to the battlefield.

Kite took out Flareon's Pokéball. "Flareon! Standby!" Kite yelled. The fire fox Pokémon appeared, ready to fight. The two opponents took out their Pokéball. "Go!" The two trainers called. The two Pokéballs opened, revealing itself to be a Blaziken and a Baltoy

Necro took out her purple Pokédex to scan the pokemon that she had never seen in her life before now the Blaziken "In battle, Blaziken blows out intense flames from its wrists and attacks foes courageously. The stronger the foe, the more intensely this Pokémon's wrists burn," Necro's Pokédex buzzed Necro put away her Pokédex.

"Mon..." Monferno agreed sadly. Ash faced both Baltoy and Blaziken.

"Get ready, Kite! This could be tough!" Ash warned.

"With Pikachu, tough is right." He muttered back. Ash turned to Kite glaring at him.

""Well, that Flareon is not a great match!" Ash argued.

"Well did I ask you Ash?" Kite snapped, glancing at Ash.

At the sidelines, everyone watched. "I think the results will be? Their opponents are a Fire/fighting Type Blaziken, and Baltoy who's a psychic and Ground Type! so the two Fire Types moves won't affect each other that much! and Pikachu's Electric Type moves won't damage Baltoy at all." Shonei smirked.

Dawn grew worried as she looked at the battle. "And the trainer's matchups aren't even better!" Dawn moaned.

Brock frowned as he sifhed. "Wait you two. Don't really underestimate Ash and that guy Kite if he knows Paul like he says then!. They're not something to be go easy against." Brock warned.

"Now then! Battle begin!" Enta called.

Ein & Cook: Baltoy & Blaziken VS Ash & Kite: Pikachu & Flareon

"Wow hey Brock what's that pokemon?" asked Necro as she looked at the fire/fighting type.

"Let's show that Blaziken a thing or two! Quick, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Ash called. Pikachu leapt in the air and shot the Electric Type move towards Blaziken!

"Blaziken dodge," Blaziken's trainer called out and Blaziken jumped to the side dodging the thunderbolt with no trouble at the least.

"Astounding! Amazingly, Blaziken jumps out of the way of Pikachu's Thunderbolt with no trouble at all that some speed!" Enta called.

"Now! Baltoy! Use Psychic!" The Cook called. Baltoy lifted its hand and took control of Pikachu lifting Pikachu off the ground before slamming him to the ground.

"Pikachu!" Ash yelled in surprise. Pikachu landed hard on the ground, panting from the heavy blow he took. Kite snorted with disgust.

"Idiot don't you even know that Baltoy is the pokemon with the most range that's it's ability," Kite snorted. Ash turned to Kite in confusion.

"Ability? You mean..." Ash repeated. At the sidelines, Necro grew surprised.

"Hold on! I thought Thunderbolt was aimed at Blaziken!" She yelped in surprise.

"Yeah it was and as you saw Necro. his Blaziken jumped to the side to avoid getting hit however Baltoy's ability might be a problem but also that Lightning attack don't have any effect on Baltoy is not good if that Blaziken have a speed like crazy," Brock explained, Dawn widened her eyes in horror.

"Does that mean Pikachu can't use any of its Electric Type moves!?" Dawn shrieked.

"Unless that Baltoy is defeated, Pikachu can't..." Scout answered.

"I'm just afraid Pikachu is out of commission!" Shonei said as he watched.

Kite sighed in annoyance, disappointed with Ash's lack of knowledge. "No Ash just you forget it," Kite grunted.

"Hey give Me a break! I don't care, I'm in this Tag Battle too, you know that right!" Ash snapped.
Blaziken's trainer quickly saw his very chance to make a counterattack.

"Blaziken! Use Lava Plume!" The trainer shouted. Blaziken unleashed hot air of flames around the battlefield.

Kite sneered of seeing the Attack. "Look out." Kite said sarcastically but Baltoy used a helping hand just seconds before it also took the hit from Lava Plume as well!

"But Baltoy got hit, too so why did it use a helping hand just seconds before!" Necro gasped.

"Lava Plume is a move that hits everyone in the area! But Fire Type moves don't affect Baltoy that much! and by using Helping hand it made Lava Plume more powerful That was a great strategy!" Brock explained.

"Flareon, let's go!" Kite called. Flareon looked back, before running right into the Lava Plume Attack. The two opponents grew startled.

"Flareon? Even if Flareon is a Fire Type, this much fire is gonna cause major damage!" The trainer replied in surprise.

"Pikachu! Dodge, it quick!" Ash called. Pikachu leapt in the air to dodge the dangerous Fire Type Attack. While Flareon braced itself as it took the Lava Plume Attack head on!

"And Blaziken's Lava Plume engulfs Flareon completely!" Enta called.

"Flareon! Use Flamethrower!" Kite yelled. Flareon's fire tail blazed up as he shot the boosted Fire Type move!

"Awesome!" Ash complimented.

"Kite is using that Lava Plume to power up Flareon's Flamethrower, just like Paul did the first time that he battled Ash, I suspect that Kite somehow knows Paul just as I had suspected he would!" Brock explained.

Scout narrowed his eyes, with Monferno glaring at the smoky Lava Plume. Necro, Shonei and Dawn all grew surprised as Kite gritted his teeth. He soon realized that the Attack was heading straight for Baltoy! Baltoy who took the hit head on it did a little bit of damage.

"Use Drain punch!" The Cook called. The heavy Fighting Type move slammed Flareon to the air, and to the ground. Baltoy charged at Flareon for some more but also healing itself in the process.

"Flareon big," Kite yelled even though he knew that there was no time.

"Now Pikachu, use Iron Tail, let's go!" Ash yelled. Pikachu dove towards Baltoy, landing a direct hit at it!

Baltoy cried in pain as he tumbled back. "Wow! Nice assist!" Shonei complimented.

"Yeah that was actually good work," said Brock.

"Let's go," Ash said as Baltoy hit the ground knocked out.

"Thh your lucky that Baltoy was not that strong just a little hit and that's all it could even take," said Kite

"Kite will you just shut up, so what it doesn't matter how strong your pokemon are what matters is that you grow stronger together," snapped Ash.

Both opponents grew shocked. "Baltoy!" The Cook yelled.

"What an attack!" The traine replied in surprise.

"Baltoy is unable to battle!" The referee declared at the sidelines, Dawn smiled in glee.

"Alright! From now on, I'm doing it My own way! Now, Pikachu! Volt Tackle!" Ash yelled. Pikachu charged at Blaziken head on, which the trainer and Kite countered.

"Flareon big!" Kite called.

"Blaziken, Fire Punch, let's go!" The trainer called.
Flareon dug underground, as Blaziken punched Pikachu with the blazing fist.

Volt Tackle and Fire Punch struggled to make an advantage. "It's an even match!" Enta declared. Suddenly, Flareon surprised Blaziken, with the underground move! Flareon knocked Blaziken out with Dig. As Blaziken fainted, Pikachu and Flareon both landed on the ground, praising each other.

"Blaziken is unable to battle! Pikachu and Flareon are the winners!" The referee declared.
The giant plasma screen showed that the winners were Ash and Pikachu, with Kite and Flareon.

"Wow! What a rout! And that means, moving on to the next round will be Ash and Kite!" Enta announced.

At the sidelines, Dawn sighed. "Wow, I'm glad they won... But, it certainly wasn't the great example of teamwork I've ever seen." Dawn sighed.

"Well it was more depending on their win was actually the result of luck and excellent separate efforts!" Shonei replied.

"Well, they both won, didn't they?" Necro asked.

"I'll say this. It were today, but that may be it." Brock replied. Ash and Kite then faced each other.

"Look, from now on, just stay out of My way!" Kite snapped.

"Just face it Kite! but if we wanna win then we work as a team! That's what Tag Battle partners do!" Ash snapped. Kite made no objection as he turned away with an unimpressed snort.

Ash gritted his teeth, glaring at his new rival with disgust. Necro and Monferno both looked at the two. "This will never end... Will it?" Necro asked.

"Ferno..." Monferno sighed, hanging onto Necro's left shoulder. Necro then turned to look and see the scoreboard. They still have a few matches to face before they get to the finals.

"We'll just see how they work out in the finals." Necro thought as she looked back at the two rivals.
