(The Next Day)

"And here it is, folks! The first match of the semifinals! Once this match is done, the second semifinal match will start, and then comes the finals!" Enta announced. The crowd cheered loudly for the battles to start. "And now onto the Pokemon and to the battlefield!" Enta called.
Necro, Scout, Dawn, and Shonei each took out one of their Pokéballs.

"Luxio a battle!" "Swablu, it's you!"

"Piplup, come on out!" "Heracross, appear!" The four trainers called. Luxio and Swablu appeared on Necro and Scout's side. Piplup and Heracross both appeared on Dawn and Shonei's side.

"Necro! Let's not hold back just because we have a friend on that side, got it?" Scout called.

Necro agreed with a smile. "You're kidding Me right? I don't go easy on anyone at all whether they're a friend or an enemy," Necro replied.

Dawn and Shonei faced their two opponents.
"Let's defend first then hit them hard," Shonei suggested.

"Got it! I'm so not going to go easy on those two!" Dawn agreed.

"Good," Shonei smirked.

"Alright! Battle begin!" Enta called.

Dawn & Shonei: Piplup & Heracross VS Necro & Scout: Luxio & Swablu

"Luxio! Use Hidden Power on Piplup!" Necro yelled.

"Swablu! Use Ice Beam on Heracross!" Scout called. Luxio unleashed glowing orbs towards Dawn's Piplup, as Swablu shot the Ice Type Attack towards Heracross.

"Heracross, Revenge on Luxio!" Shonei called.

"Piplup! Peck on Luxio, too!" Dawn called.

Heracross dodged Ice Beam and then took the Hidden Power for Piplup! "Wait what!?" Necro called while Scout's eyes widened in surprise as both Swablu and Luxio themselves also grew rather surprised as well..

"And Heracross protects Dawn's Piplup from Hidden Power what teamwork!" Enta called. Heracross then charged, smashing Luxio to the air.

"Luxio!" Necro yelled.

Swablu looked up very startle, as Piplup shot out a water gun at Luxio. Luxio took the hit and hit the ground. Scratches were already on Luxio as she began to pant. "Good it's going just like we planned!" Shonei smirked.

"No way we're not out just yet!" Necro snapped as him while Luxio stood up, ready for more..
She wasn't gonna be a burden to Scout again no matter what?

"Luxio! Use Thunder Fang on Heracross!" Necro yelled.

Please work, please let it work!

"Swablu, use Steel Wing on Heracross as well!" Scout called and both Pokémon charged at Heracross with their physical attacks coming.

"Oh My! now it's Luxio and Swablu are ganging up against Heracross!" Enta called.

"That's not even a problem! Harden go then use your Megahorn!" Shonei smirked.

Heracross met up with Steel Wing and Thunder Fang, with Megahorn! Both attacks were blocked, much to Necro and Scout's surprise.

"What it didn't do a thing!" Necro gasped.

Shonei then quickly turned to Dawn. "Alright! Dawn! Now's your chance!" Shonei shouted making Dawn node and turning to her partner.

"Alright! Piplup Use Aqua Jet on Luxio!" Dawn shouted. Piplup wrapped himself in water, before bashing into Luxio! Luxio was smashed to the ground once more.

"No damn it!" Necro grunted angrily while she watched her pokemon struggle to get up.

"Hey Necro claim down, don't lose your temper," said Scout before he ordered his pokemon to attack.

"Now! Water Gun!" Dawn yelled. Piplup shot the water at Luxio, which Necro had countered on it.

"Intercept that with a spark!" Necro shouted knowing that this might be her only chance
Luxio dodged the Water Gun, and smashed into Piplup with electricity! Piplup cried in pain as he was tossed to the ground.

"Piplup!" Dawn gasped.

"Dawn let's strike back, quick helping hand go!" Shonei told her and Dawn nodded her head before she called out to Piplup.

"Use Aqua jet!" Dawn called.

Necro narrowed her eyes though. "Stop Piplup with Iron Tail!" She called.

Luxio leapt in the air, slamming her steel tail on Aqua Jet! The two of them struggled to gain an advantage until Luxio overpowered Piplup and smashed him to the ground again.

"Oh no!" Dawn gasped.

"Swablu! Use Aerial Ace on Heracross!" Scout shouted.

Swablu swiftly slashed Heracross with Aerial Ace. "Not gonna happen Scout. now Heracross! Counter that with Megahorn!" Shonei called.

Scout smirked at that, however.

"No way! quick Swablu! Fly up!" Scout called trying to accomplish shaking Heracross off however Heracross was faster than Swablu but just seconds before Heracross had a chance to hit Swablu dived down crossing Shonei's very pokemon to miss.

"Luxio! Use Spark on Heracross!" Necro shouted seeing a chance.

Luxio rapidly smashed into Heracross, causing a great amount of damage. "Heracross is being tied with ropes now, due to being hit by a direct hit of Spark and Aerial Ace! Could this be over for Piplup and Heracross?" Enta asked.

"We're not done yet! Piplup go Water Gun on Swablu!" Dawn shouted.

"Heracross, Shadow ball on Luxio!" Shonei ordered.

Both Pokémon made their attacks towards their two opponents. "No you don't! Swablu! Use Ice Beam on Heracross!" Scout exclaimed.

"And Luxio! Dodge, then let's try Thunder Fang this time on Piplup!" Necro yelled. Both Swablu and Luxio dodged the attacks and made their own.

Necro prayed in her head that thunder fang whoud work since it was a new move and to top it up they hadn't practiced it a lot.
But it worked and Necro nodded to herself as she watched Luxio crunched in on Piplup with electriciy, Piplup cried in pain as Swablu froze Shonei's Heracross with the Ice Beam.

"Here goes! Iron Tail!" Necro called.

"End it with a Steel Wing!" Scout yelled. Swablu and Luxio both smashed Piplup and Heracross togeher, causing an explosion!

"No!" Dawn shrieked.

"Heracross!" Shonei called.

"Both Swablu and Luxio make their teamwork a success, as they defeated both Piplup and Heracross! Did they?" Enta commented.

The dust cleared, to see that both Piplup and Heracross fainted! "Heracross and Piplup are both unable to battle! The winner is Swablu and Luxio!" The referee declared.

Necro & Scout: Winner!

"And the team Scout and Necro wins it! Those two friends head onto the final stage! Later this afternoon this match already made the first semifinal into history!" Enta called.

"Alright!" Scout cheered as his Swablu landed on Scout's out stretched arm with a celebrating cheer. Luxio smiled happily as she ran over to Necro who bent down to embrace her pokemon

"Great battle, Luxio! I'm so proud of you!" Necro smiled as Luxio blushed just before she licked Necro's cheek making Necro laugh.

Dawn and Shonei both ran over to their beaten up Pokémon. "Thank you Piplup," Dawn thanked.

"Piplup pipl" Piplup weakly replied with a smile.

"You too, Heracross! You battled hard until the very end thank you!" Shonei complimented his pokemon.

Heracross nodded in acceptance. Once the two teams were out of the field, Enta announced the results. "And the first team to make it to the final stage is Necro and Scout! These two people are working very hard together to get to this victory stage! so now, let's bring out the second semifinal battle teams!" Enta explained.

Tijuana and Brock faced Ash and Kite for this. "It's the team of Brock and Tijuana, versus the team of Ash and Kite" Enta announced.

Tijuana looked at Brock for some words. "I know that you and Ash are friends, but don't hold back!" Tijuana warned.

"No way! As a former Gym Leader, I know how tough you have to be if you want to win! I'm not going to go easy on anybody!" Brock assured. Tijuana smiled with that.

"That's the spirit!" She said and then giggled something that Brock could not help but find it to be actually cute.

"Weve come too far not to give it our all!" Brock called. meanwhile on the sidelines, Dawn, Shonei, Necro and Scout all watched together.

"Well, it looks like we're going to face the two winners." Necro stared, she didn't even know if she was good enough as she thought back to their second round win... Just how she had been nothing more than a burden to Scout.

"Yeah... It's either Ash and Kite... Or Brock and Tijuana..." Scout agreed, looking at the battle

"Ferno..." Monferno replied.

"Staravia, I choose you!" "Onix! Standby for battle!" "Croagunk, let's go!"

"Lucario! You're the one!" The four trainers called. Staravia and Onix appeared on Ash and Kite's side. Croagunk and Lucario appeared on Brock and Tijuana's side. Dawn took out her Pokédex to scan the Flying Type.

"Quite an interesting assortment of Pokémon." Shonei smirked.

"Alright! let the battle begin!" Enta called.

Brock & Tijuana: Croagunk & Lucario VS Ash & Kite: Staravia & Onix

"I'm not going easy on Brock! Now! Staravia! Aerial Ace on Croagunk!" Ash called. Staravia drew back before charging straight towards Croagunk.

"Ohh really Ash Poison Jab, quick!" Brock yelled. Croagunk's fingertips glowed purple, ready to strike.

"Now, Lucario, use Air Slash!" Tijuana shouted.

Lucario shot a sharp orb of air, sending it towards Onix! "Bull up then Hyper Beam go!" Kite yelled.

Onix turned orange for just a second as it powered up its attack before it blasted a Hyper Beam, destroying the Air Slash, and knocking Staravia away! The Hyper Beam made a direct hit on Lucario creating an explosion. "Oh My!" Tijuana gasped.

"That's some power!" Brock commented.

Staravia yelled in pain as he was pushed away. "Staravia!" Ash yelled. Pikachu called out for Staravia as well.

"Staravia!" Dawn and Necro both gasped.

Scout widened his eyes in surprise.

"That fool..." Shonei muttered angrily.

"If Aerial Ace manages to make direct contact, we just might be witnessing the end result of a knock out by a single blow!" Scout explained and

However as the dust cleared, Lucario was unconscious, fainted. "Lucario is unable to battle!" The referee called.

Tijuana grew upset with the loss. "No!" Tijuana yelled.

"Wow and Lucario is done with a flash! Onix's power is undeniable!" Enta commented.

"You didn't have to hit Staravia Kite!" Ash snapped.

"Your Staravia is just too slow." Kite scoffed. Ash gritted his teeth, glaring at his rival. Tijuana clapped her hands together, apologizing.

"Brock, I'm so sorry." Tijuana apologized.

"Tijuana don't worry. Now, it's time. Croagunk! Use Brick Break on Onix!" Brock called, accepting the apology. Croagunk ran to attack Onix but Onix couldn't move, though.

"But, Onix is not attacking!" Dawn called.

"That can happen when you use Hyper Beam." Shonei explained.

Dawn looked at Shonei and Necro in confusion. "When you use Hyper Beam, and it hits, the user has to recover from the Attack, just like with Giga Impact!" Necro explained. At the battle, Ash turned to Staravia.

"Staravia! Use Aerial Ace one more time!" Ash called. Staravia flew fast, charging towards Torterra.

Brock noticed the Attack, though. "Croagunk! Staravia is right behind you!" Brock called. Craogunk took a glance, before sliding to the side of Onix at the last minute.

"What the!?" Ash yelped in surprise. Staravia widened his eyes in surprise as well. Staravia swerved, trying to not hit Onix. Croagunk then rose up to Attack!

"And Croagunk has situated directly in Onix's blind spot!" Enta called. Croagunk slammed his Brick Break on Onix, causing some damage to Onix, and Onix roared in pain.

"Direct hit!" Tijuana called.

"Poison Jab, once more!" Brock called.

Croagunk prepared to use the Poison Type move on Onix once more. "Staravia! just turn around now!" Ash called.

"Stay out Ash!" Kite snapped. Ash grew startled, as Onix roared out loud. Croagunk grew startled, losing focus of Poison Jab.

"Looks like Onix is already moving again!" Scout smirked.

"Leaf Storm!" Kite said with a grin.

"Croagunk! Get out of there!" Brock yelled but it was already too late, however.

Onix blasted Croagunk away with Leaf Storm. Croagunk yelled in pain as he was smashed to the ground by the special move. Staravia could only watch as Croagunk fainted from the blow.

"But how can Onix learn that move when it's a rock type?" asked Necro

"I have no idea Necro... Remember it's literally just like yesterday during that match where their opponent a fire type Pokemon used a water type move?" Explained Shonei making Dawn nodded as she added to never judge a Pokemon by its type alone?

"Croagunk is unable to battle! Onix and Staravia are the winners!" The referee declared.

Ash & Kite: Winner!

"And this is the second battle! Croagunk and Lucario just couldn't stand up to Onix's ferocious attacks!" Enta commented. Brock returned the Toxic Mouth Pokémon.

"Thanks, Croagunk. You did your best." Brock thanked. Tijuana apologized once again.

"I'm sorry. It was all My fault!" Tijuana said sadly.

"Tijuana, you mustn't blame yourself. It's all part of battling!" Brock assured. Staravia flew down to Ash as Ash complimented the Flying Type.

"Staravia, you wrere great!" Ash complimented. Kite scoffed at that, however.

"No way what did you do out though the entire match anyway?" Kite asked. Ash, Pikachu, and Staravi glared at the cold trainer.

"Now that the final matchups are on their way! And all the action begins later this afternoon!" Enta called. The crowd cheered loudly for the final battle coming up.
