Lucas| The Merge| 01.5
I feel so bad for not updating sooner. I've had these really bad headaches lately (I blame the heat) and I can't focus much, but I'm glad I finished this little thing.
Also a small warning, I use a lot of brackets in this part for some reason.

Your business controlled some of the largest, most popular clothing and home item websites. If any of them were mentioned anywhere, anyone would know what you were talking about. In the beginning, you started off in the fashion industry and slowly but surely made your way up the chain. You help the company a lot and most often times take on more projects than you can chew. Your workers appreciate the kind, open atmosphere, but they also worry a lot about you. It's like a big family and you've all helped one another grow and with the news of the merge, everyone felt a little iffy about your decision.
You and Ten had (as said in the first part), been friends ever since you were kids. He was the first one to believe that you could achieve your dream. With his good sense of fashion and knowledge of multiple different languages, he became a huge part of the company very quickly. It was originally his idea to incorporate home decor and furniture on your roster of items to sell, and to this day you continue to feel thankful for having him by your side. He kept you cool and level-headed through thick and thin, bringing comfort food when you were still working in the office late into the night. And you always went to him when you wanted a second opinion on a decision you would need to make, so when you brought up that you were going to sign an agreement with another company, he wasn't delighted to hear it.
Lucas on the other hand, he was a huge shipping company that had a large number of employees, he couldn't even keep track of them all. He was a fair CEO but didn't show his face around the main building much. He owned multiple buildings in multiple countries and was known worldwide. His company would ship anything from food to some of the weirdest kids toys out there, except the things your company sold.
You used a cheap, fast shipping company, but that was until they shut down, leaving you with a huge problem that needed to be solved as quick a possible. So when you were on the lookout for a new shipment company, Lucas was looking for a large business that could help him earn more money to pull his business out of a full two years worth of debt and the smaller businesses he was working with didn't quite cut it. When both of your businesses solved the others problem, it was like a miracle, but there was one complication, your businesses couldn't work together unless they merged and that couldn't happen unless both owners of the companies were legally bound together.
So when the proposition was brought up at a meeting with representatives of both companies (You and Ten were the only ones from your company, where Lucas had three others including him (Jungwoo, Kun, Yuta)) Everyone thought that it wasn't worth it and that other companies would come along, maybe even better ones, but you both were sure that this was what you had to do, despite the fact that you've never even met or seen each other until today.
Lucas didn't seem to mind either way, he was a very laid back person (With a bright/ loud personality), he had told you that it was all up to you and he would agree with whatever decision you made (He was very much a gentleman that way. However, this puts a great deal of stress on your shoulders, because now not only were you thinking of the well being of your own business but you were also thinking of what would be best for Lucas as well). You made the decision on an impulse, without thinking it through much, which put a kink in Ten's mood. He felt it wasn't right for you to technically give yourself to a man for a business (Which you then corrected him by saying 'Businesses' which just ticked him off more, but he couldn't be mad at you, at least not for long). But Ten wasn't the only one protective of his boss, Lucas' three close friends (Jungwoo, Yuta, and Kun) all had sour moods throughout the meeting and following afterward as well. They kept telling him that it was only a matter of time before they both got tired of each other and they'd both want a divorce which would then sever the bonds between the two companies as well. But Lucas just kept waving them off, saying something along the lines of "We both care more about our businesses than ourselves" (Which everyone soon decided that it was irrational to say something like that, but Lucas will be Lucas)
The meeting was just like any other meeting except for the thick tension that lingered in the air well after everyone had left. After the contract was signed, the wedding arrangments were made, the house was bought and the countdown had started, it was only a matter of time until both you and Lucas are bound together, in more ways than one.

I'm about to freak out. I wrote down the plan for this small little series in a notebook, but I have like seventy thousand notebooks and I can't remember which one it's in. Let's hope I don't have to wing it.
What was the most important thing that you've lost? Have you found it?
