Snapped
At 5:30 in the morning, NCT U sat in a dance practice room stretching, and getting ready for practice. They often ran through The 7th Sense for review and practice in case they had a showcase with the song or something like that.
About a half hour later they started running through the song. After the went through the whole song once only dancing, they recorded the dance again. After they finished the dance for the second time. They went to a camera and looked over the footage. Everyone looked over each individual detail and made a note of it for the next time. Even if their arms were a centimeter off, they noted it. The dance had to be absolutely perfect, not just for them, but for their fans. After they watched the video, they faced the mirror in the practice room. They then slowly ran through the song tweaking anything that needed to be fixed. Then they ran through the song a bunch of times until it reached 12.
"Okay you guys are done for the day." The staff said. That was a lie.
Both Mark and Mahina got dragged into a different practice room that had hover boards in it. The pair greeted the rest of the dreamies and leapt right into choreography again. Mahina and Mark were already tired and it was really tricky to ride the hover boards while dancing, so that wasn't a good combo. Especially for Mahina. After a couple run throughs of stumbling, they ran it through without falling off. Then they repeated the routine of going through the song over and over again, critiquing every little mistake. They made their movements more knife-like and practiced their expressions in the mirror. Both Jisung and Mahina still unused to smiling so much and acting cute.
They took a 30 minute break about halfway through their practice. Both Mahina and Mark practically sprinted down to the cafeteria and grabbed a quick bite to eat. After that it was back to practice.
After the dream practice the trio of Mark, Haechan, and Mahina were dragged off to yet another practice room for NCT 127's practice. It was 11 PM at this point; both Mark and Mahina were exhausted. They kept stumbling into everyone.
"Come on Mark." Yuta complained. "You keep messing up this part. It's really simple and all of us want to go home. So hurry it up." The rest of the group grumbled in agreement.
Mark snapped. "I've been practicing non-stop since 6 AM this morning! You don't think I want to go home to?!"
"Then get it right!" Yuta roared.
"SHUT UP!" Mark yelled, breathing heavily. His eyes filled with unshed tears as he ran out of the room the door slamming behind him. The second that happened, a cold aura started to fill the room. Everyone involuntarily shivered and looked at the source, Mahina was glaring at Yuta.
She marched up to him and demanded, "Do you know how hard it is to be in three groups!? To remember three different sets of lyrics and choreography?! No! I don't think so." Yuta gulped. "So you should get your act together." Mahina hissed. She spun around and marched over to the door.
"Where do you think your going?" Taeyong demanded.
"To find Mark!" Mahina snapped. As the door slammed behind her, she closed her eyes and thought for a moment. If I was Mark, where would I be. A place popped into Mahina's mind as she climbed up stairs and opened a metal door. It creaked open, and sitting there in the moonlight was Mark. He was crying, his legs curled up to his chest.
Mahina walked over to him and patted his back. Mark looked up, his eyes red and puffy. Once he saw Mahina he sobbed then hugged her, burying his head into her shoulder. "It's so hard."
"I know Mark, I know. Let it all out."
"How can they expect us to handle this? The fame? The stress?" Mark blubbered. "We are still teenagers." Mahina rubbed his back soothingly. "They all say they know how it feels, but they don't. They aren't in three different groups. It's just you and me."
"True." Mahina commented agreeing with Mark. "But you wouldn't trade it for the world would you? The family we have. You can't get that anywhere else." Mark looked up at her, his tears staining the sleeve of her shirt. "Yes we have more work. And I get it is hard. But, where else can you find someone who laughs like a dolphin, or someone who roasts people like it's nobody's business." Mark laughed quietly. Mahina looked down at Mark who had calmed down. "We have something nobody else has. So let's have fun."
