A/N: Heyo! just wanted to say that this is before debut but I wanted to write it. It is on NCT Life Season 1. Mahina will be referred to as Lina in this chapter because it is before she decided her stage name. In this chapter, the italics are meant for the on-screen words instead of Chinese. The SM Rookies just finished their concert and were back to there hotel. They talked a lot about the show and what they did. Then Ten left.

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!" As they were singing Ten accidentally blew out the candles. Lina was grinning like crazy while everyone else was laughing. "Happy 3rd Birthday Party Jaehyun." Someone said.

"Tell us one of your wishes." 

"Ah- I want to be happy in the future." Jaehyun said. "The rest are secret." 

Then the TV started up, with Ten's face on it. "WAIT?!" Mahina exclaimed surprising everyone. "We are actually showing these?!" She groaned and put her head in her lap. "Kill me now." The rest of the members laughed.

[From Ten, To Johnny]

I appreciate many things you've done for me. When I first came to Korea you taught me Korean. And when I was stressed out while practicing, you always cheered me up by telling me jokes and helped me feel better. Johnny. Thank you.

[From Johnny, To Doyoung]

Hello. I really want to say thank you. I thank you because you hear me out all the time. You helped me so much as a roommate. I will work harder to become a better big bro to you. Thank you.

"So formal." Someone interrupted and they all laughed. Well Lina's was more of a deep chuckle but it was still there.

[From Doyoung, To Jaehyun]

Hello. Jaehyun. This is a very sweet opportunity. When I had a hard time practicing, you were a very sweet little bro to me. I will do my best to make myself trustworthy. Jaehyun, thank you. I love you.

At Jaehyun's message started everyone laughed. 

[From Jaehyun, To Taeil]

You didn't expect this huh? I'm not good at expressing myself but, whenever I have a hard time I always complain to you.

Taeil started crying as the message went on.

I'm not sure if you know how I feel since I was never very serious but I really thank you and hope we can talk more about music and spend more time together as musicians. I love you.

Taeil started laughing as he wiped his eyes to stop from crying.

[From Taeil, To Donghyuk]

Donghyuk. You always come to me and play around and say that you like me but you know I don't show my love to you much. I like you but I am not good with expressing my feeling to you. This is so funny. You are a very cute little bro to me. I will show more of my love. Cutie Donghyuk! I love you.

[From Donghyuk, To Lina]

Sawadika~ Hi Lina!

Lina's eyes widened in surprise, Donghyuk got her?

I like to fool around you because I like to get a reaction of you. I kept doing it after I made you laugh the first time. Remember that? I couldn't believe I actually got you to laugh. You are a great little sis and are always willing to listen to me whenever I need someone to talk to. It means a lot. I love you.

The video cut and Lina suddenly got up. "Bye!!!" She called trying to escape the room. Unfortunately for her, Jaehyun grabbed the hood of the hoodie she was wearing, and pulled her back.

[From Lina, To Jisung]

Is this thing working? (Lina was tapping the camera) Well if it is, it is. So uh hi Jisung. (She waved awkwardly) Thanks for being a shoulder I could lean on and someone I can trust. (She scratched her head) Uh. What else do I say. Thanks for being a cute little bro. Bye my little Kau. (Lina waved to the screen)

Lina's cheeks were dusted red as everyone cooed at her.

"Hey Lina?" Jisung asked. Lina looked at up at him, as she somewhat regained her composer. "What does Kau mean?"

"Sun." She murmured. "Kau means sun."
