CHAPTER 15 : Part 2

The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict.

-Unknown

●Torrin●

For the fifth time in a row, my fist hits the nearest concrete wall. It hurt like hell, but it was nothing compared to the hurt I was feeling inside. It feels like my heart is being toyed with, like its been stabbed over and over again. I've felt something familiar like this before, I'm guessing when Natasha got stabbed. Even though the wound wasn't mine, I still felt it. I'm sure it was because of the blood bond because now that she's gone, I don't feel her pain or emotions... I only feel mine.

My emotions are high and my pain, it's not to be described because there are no words to describe it.

I stop punching the wall and lean my head against it. Silent tears fall from my eyes, landing on the outside dirt. My lungs heaved, a sob threatening to escape past my lips. "I summon you Hades! Show yourself!" Those same words have came out of my mouth repeatedly since I've stepped outside, which was thirty minutes ago. "Show yourself!"

Nothing happens, the air doesn't even quiver. He doesn't show up, which makes my blood boil. My fist balls up and slams against the concrete, hard. "In my twenty-seven years of living, I've never asked you for anything. Not even when my own mother died by the hands of your evil son." I pause, before continuing. "You're my grandfather, a fucked up one at that, but considering the fact that we haven't spoken since I was sixteen, I'm begging you, with every bone in my body. Please come to me."

The water that was pouring from the fountain, just inches beside me, stops pouring. The color of the water changes from it's normal color to dark tainted red. Almost like the blood on my clothes. I'm not sure what it is about the fountain, but whatever it is it's captivating and it's calling out to me. Gulping down on my spit, I decide to walk forward, towards the fountain. The closer I get, the more the calling gets louder. When reaching the fountain I watch closely as the piece of architecture pours the blood water into a basin. Suddenly I'm urged to touch it.

Once my hand touches the water, I'm instantly sucked into the unknown. It feels like an invisible force engulfing my entire body. Everything goes black for a moment. "Open your eyes idiot!" A familiar voice says, causing my eyes to flutter open. It was Hades. "Get up and let's talk, so I can leave. There's much to prepare for."

"Like what?" I ask standing up. Looking around the place, all I see is white and nothing else. There wasn't any people, places or things in sight. Just white.

"The end of days," Hades says, he sounded serious.

My eyebrows knit together. "The end of days is coming... and you have nothing to do it? That's... crazy."

Hades scoffs. "Who you telling. I've worked my ass off for centuries, only now to have my hard work go to shit. All because of your father." He says, pushing his hair out his face. It has gotten longer, since the last time I saw him. "And the end of the days isn't coming, it's already here. Now, what the hell did you want so bad, that you had to summon me?"

My eyes close, for a brief second before opening. "Natasha is dead and I need your help to bring her back," I confessed. "One of the witches tried bringing her back, but Natasha's soul... it's missing."

Hades throws his head back and lets out a loud, humorless laugh. He clutches his stomach. "You are so stupid Torrin, I mean wake and smell the coffee. I literally just told you the end of days is here, put two and two together." My face scrunch's up in confusion and Hades sighs, slapping his forehead. "Your father is the reason why we have an end of days Torrin. Why do you think he was so obsessed with your mother?" Hades asks. "It was because he thought that tainting the heart of an angel, one that could use all the stones at once, he'd be able to use her and take over the world. But you're mother, she wasn't strong enough to bare it all and that's why she's dead now." He shakes his head. "Your father thought you could handle it, but you couldn't bare the power either, not even the stones. It wasn't till he dug deeper and found the eversione multavit prophecy that he realized, that in other to get what he truly desired, he had to create something powerful enough to bare it all."

"Natasha," I say, in realization.

Hades nods. "Correct. Your father spent all his time thinking it over and when he came to the supernatural elders with the idea, we laughed at him. But when he showed us the prophecy, it took us by surprise and that's when we agreed to give him our blood. And as you can see, it worked. Your father got his hybrid." Hades lowers his head. "But what we didn't know, was that Rahul tricked us. He only showed us half of the prophecy and not the full thing."

"What does the prophecy say?"

He gulps. "It says that the day the blood moon rises and the sky is the color of blood, the destroyer of worlds will awaken and walk through the valley of the living, and destroy everything in its path with the fire of Hephaestus." He says. "And after the world is destroyed, only the destroyer of worlds and the one true God shall walk the earth."

"So Natasha isn't dead." I clarify.

Hades sighs. "Is that really all you got, from what I just told you?" He asks. "Your girlfriend is going to kill everyone and unless you're the one true god, you're dying as well!"

"Yes, that's all I got from what you said. It's a prophecy, which means that some idiot of a prophet probably wrote it to scare us. Also, since when did the supernaturals start believing in prophecies?" Hades doesn't answer me and I shrug. "You can send me back now, I've got the answer that I needed."

"You're just like your father, you know that right? Just as stupid as him." He grumbles. "But it's okay, you'll see it soon and you'll know that the prophecy is nothing to be changed. It's already been written in the stars."

"You're a fucked up granddad."

Hades rolled his eyes and lifts up his hand. "And you're a shitty grandson." He says, taking one final look at me. "Goodbye, Torrin." He snaps his fingers and my eyes open. A portrait of a Lycan woman playing with her cubs come into my line of vision. Looking around, I realize that I'm standing in the middle of the hallway of Yiska's pack home. The air feels thick and my throat feels like it's burning.

Out of the middle of nowhere, someone screams causing my heart to jump out of my chest. It sounded like it came from a child. The scream continued to tear through the rooms and halls of the house. The lycans of the house open the doors to their room and quickly run to the source of the scream. It takes me a moment, but soon, I'm off running with everyone else.

My boots slap against the wooden floor sending, my body forward with each step. "What's going on?" I ask, hauling my movement once I reach where the scream came from. There was a crowd of people looking out the window, chattering about something that was outside.

"Look for yourself." One of the pack warriors says, pointing at the window.

Walking forward, I move the thick curtain away to get a look at what's outside. My eyes widen at the sight before me. "What the hell?" I whisper in shock. The moon was red and high in the sky giving off the only light, outside. The sky reflected its color.

Suddenly, all the lights in the house swing violently from the ceiling. Cracks appear from both the walls and ground as the world shook from beneath. I fall, hurting my ankle in the process. Each and every single glass in the room shatters, injuring people along the way. The people scream in fear, running and looking for a place to hide, but it's useless because they fall, pilling on top of one another.

The shaking stops after a few more minutes. Once it's over, people stand up and start to help the injured. The same pack warrior who informed me about outside, gave me a hand to stand up. "Thank you," I say, rolling my shoulders. He replies with a nod, before going over to help the people in his pack.

"Torrin." Some calls from behind me.

Turning around, I'm faced with Alex. He looks out of breath and pale, almost like he's seen a ghost. "What's wrong?" I ask him worriedly.

Alex looks up at me, his eyes wide like a mad man. "She's... she's awake." He stutters. "Natasha is awake." He says, this time more clearly.

My breathing hitches.

Hades was right.

There is no changing the prophecy.

The end of days is here.
