When I first hit the icy water, I couldn't  tell if I was alive or not. My body felt numb and I could just see white. All I could hear was the rushing of water and it was as if that was my only sense. I desperately flailed about, trying to fish myself out of the water. After struggled attempts, I finally managed to haul myself onto the muddy bank. I pushed myself up onto trembling legs and blinked away water from my eyes as I stared up. A small figure, who I recognised as Owen, stood at the top as if he was about to dive in. I quickly waved up at him- to tell him I was okay. His eyes caught onto me and he waved back. Now. How on earth was I going to get out of this icy hell. Ironic I know. Adrenaline coursed through me and I spotted the edge not far away and started swimming as fast as I could to it. A few minutes later, my hand hit something crumbly and muddy as I realised I had hit the sides. It took all the strength I had left in my aching, freezing arms to lift myself up onto the side, and I lay there for a moment, catching my breath, exhausted.

Suddenly, the familiar face of Zach came into focus, hovering above me. This time no headphones in sight.
"Fuck, Annie, are you okay?"he started to peel off my wet outer layers, replacing them with his own. "I couldn't even hear you over the waterfall, I was hiding over there,"I think he pointed somewhere, but my vision was too blurry to even know.
"Gray managed to get a ball to work but there was only space for one person, so I made him go ahead."his hands froze for a second and he shivered.
"Annie?" I attempted to sit up, but everything around me spun violently and I clutched my stomach.
"I'm fine...Shouldn't be so pathetic in the face of this...crisis." Zach grabbed my shoulders and placed a supportive hand behind my back.
"Woah, woah, take it easy okay? You're not gonna be much use if you start running off sideways now are you?" I nodded very slowly. "Where's Owen and Claire? Did you come yourself?"
"Yes...I fell."
"Fuck." And that's when the ground started to shake, and my vision began to clear slightly. Zach froze momentarily before he -with ease- swept me up and ran. I held back my intuition to scream at the top of my lungs, and instead clasped a hand over my mouth as Zach raced through the trees and leaped over undergrowth was he headed towards the resort.

After about ten minutes, Zach was breathing noticeably heavier and louder.
"Zach just leave me." she pleaded.
"Are you crazy? I can't and I'm not, no way." he didn't slow down.
"Zach think about this, you could go so much faster and live, rather than us both die, I'm just dead weight." Wow, usually that was the last thing I'd usually call myself. C'mon Annie, you're a raptor trainer for goodness sake. Fight this. But rational thinking was at play in my mind, and I knew Zach's chances of escaping without me were much higher. It's fine, he barely knows me, hopefully he won't think about it too much once all this is over.
"I'm not leaving you, deal with it." Impeccable argument Zach congratulations, I almost did laugh.

It wasn't long before I spotted a metal hut sort of building.
"There!" I exclaimed. He immediately picked up on where I meant and we arrived outside the door.
"7836, Quick!" Zach listened and inputted the code and the door slid open. Once we were both safely inside, he carefully placed me on the ground.
