It all happened very quickly. I didn't even think, I just gor closer and shot Agent Smith, killing him.

He would have killed my partner, Clint, if I didn't stop him.

The archer was confused, his look going from me to the dead body and then to me again; I could see the shock and fear in his eyes while he probably saw nothing in mine, no regrets at all.

It's not that I wasn't sorry, I was just very good at hiding emotions but this was the first time he saw me killing someone this close.
Same thing for all the other agents that were now around us, some were crying and some shouting, but all I could hear was silence.

Two days later I was told to go to the director's office, which I expected. I had spent those two days alone in my room, not even Clint came to see how I felt.

-Close the door and sit- director Fury said.

I did like he said very slowly, I didn't like the tone of his voice.

-Sir, I...- I started but he stopped me.

-What were you thinking?! You killed one of the best agents, everyone here knew him and who he was- Fury said.

-He betrayed us, he was about to shoot Clint and kill him if I didn't do anything!- I said.

-Don't rise your voice with me, agent- the director said -I trust you, I always do, but this time we don't have evidence that what you say is true, no one saw what happened-.

I lowered my head: that was it, I was going back to jail and this time probably forever. I deserved it, I knew that, but I was starting hoping that I was finally free.

-What will happen now?- I asked.

-Leave-.

I looked at him, confused.

-What?-.

-I said leave, you have three days to leave the country before I make official that you killed Agent Smith. Don't talk to anyone before you leave, no goodbyes-.

-Thank you, Director- I said and I really meant it, he was one of the few people that really helped me.

-Good luck Agent, I'll let you know when things will be solved and you can come back-.

-How?-.

-I know someone that can find you very easily- he said smiling and I smiled too.

That's how I ended in Sydney, Australia. I had a safe house there that no one knew about and it was the perfect place to lay low.

It was a flat near the city centre, small and cozy.

The first thing I did when I landed was going to grocery shopping, I had some clothes in the house but no food at all.

I was lucky because there was a supermarket near my house and I noticed a gym too, which was amazing, I would have definitely gone there one day.

I needed milk but it was on the highest shelf and being short didn't help. I was struggling to reach it, only one bottle was left, when someone took it instead.

I was about to shout but the guy that took it handed it to me.

-I saw you trying to reach it so I wanted to help- he said.

He was very tall, compared to him I was tall like a baby, not that I was that tall anyway.

-Oh thanks- I said.

-American? Sorry, I recognized the accent- he said.

-Yeah, you too I see- I said.

-Yeah, but I moved here with my parents when I was a kid- he said -You?-.

-Just arrived, I needed some food- I said.

-I see- he smiled -I'm Keith-.

-I'm Natasha- I said.

Yes I said my real name, I don't know why. That guy made me distract, I needed to be more careful.

-I'll see you around I guess then?- he said.

-Yeah, probably-.

-Well I have to go now, I have a class in a few minutes- he said -I teach at the gym near this supermarket, you are free to come when you want-.

-Thanks, I'll see when I am free- I said smiling.

Once I was home I sat on the sofa, exhausted. Tomorrow would have been the last day and then Fury would have told everyone what I did and that they would have started investigating if Agent Smith was really innocent or not.

What would have Clint thought? I didn't even said goodbye to him...

I closed my eyes and sleep came faster than what I expected, darkness surrounding me.
