Nature's Color Plan
If color is important
For survival of bloodline
Then why does Nature provide
Colors that vary by design
Colors, gray and black and white
Can be found in a wolf pack
Foxes range in color tones
From red, white, gray and black
Even wild prey animals
Have coats that tickle sight
Whitetail deer coats may combine
Shades of black, brown, red and white
Jaguar coats can range in tone
From yellow, red-brown and black
So many species vary
Variation Nature's knack
Just look at Nature's classes
Such as Insecta and Aves
Rainbow colors glow so bright
They sparkle with color waves
When humans look at color
Inside their species bloodline
Must see variation
As part of Nature's design
To help our species endure
Variation is the plan
That Nature puts in place
Survival for human clan
Author's note: Insecta is the scientific class name for insects. Aves is the scientific class name for birds.
