This is a story oh! Very old

By our ancestors, precisely told

Born was an ape from nature's womb

The spark of a new start, I assume.

Walking on two limbs instead of four

Nature's presents were slowly explored

Seemed like a magic potion was poured

Mankind evolved, expecting undue and more.

Gifts of nature; many to name

Water, plants and air for claim

Everything looks like a picture in frame

Then why is always nature blamed?

Food, shelter and clothes to wear

Love to all, motherly care

Hate for mankind is found no where

Beautiful is the nature; just and fair.

Nature has nurtured us with affection

Provided life season after season

We were the pride of all creation

But alas! Did we choose the path of destruction!

Lack of oxygen by cutting trees

Poisoned air by polluting means

Global warming; nothing at ease

High time, mankind! Think, please?

Who are we to decide nature's fate?

Better realize it's not too late!

Let this raging inferno abate

So save Mother Nature, she is great.

P.S. This is something I wrote for an inter-school thing which is why it isn't quite as depressing as my other ones xD On a serious note, though, I think it's actually high time we start taking our little steps!
