50- The Three F's- Fight, flight or Freeze
Just like Gyaan had presumed, the werewolves got busy questioning what was going on. Too busy to hear their whispers and he used that precious time to discuss their further point of action. They had to be in sync if they wanted to win against so many werewolves.
"This is our chance," Gyaan had whispered, when the werewolves were busy scratching their heads about what happened.
"What?" Sameera and Ahana had looked at him in bewilderment, as they too were confused about what happened.
Instead of answering, Gyaan had nudged Avan, who in turn had opened his eyes for a second to let them know he was okay, before closing them immediately.
"This—"
"Sshh!" Gyaan shushed them, before they gave away his ploy.
"Stop questioning and just listen. When stranded in a problem, there are two F's to select from- Fight or Flight. And right now I am selecting the flight option."
"Any objections?" He asked, looking at everyone for confirmation. He frowned when he noticed the far away look in Neer's eyes, but Ahana's question diverted his mind before he could think much of it.
"On the count of three?" Ahana asked instead of a direct answer.
"On the count of three," Gyaan confirmed, nodding with a small smile, before they got into ready position.
Alas! They never got to count. The luck just wasn't on their side. They were a second too late. The werewolves were already done with their discussion, before the elements could escape.
"The child may be able to manipulate the wolves to some extent, but no manipulation can stop the Alpha's Command," Hritika said, before ordering her brothers, "Guys, use your Alpha Command."
"Sometimes I wonder who is the leader of the pack, and who is third in command," Vivaan muttered with a shake of his head, before turning to Nihal, "Let's do it together. The duel force would make it impossible for any of them to counter attack."
Nihal nodded in understanding, and took a huge breath as he wasn't used to using his Alpha powers.
"Forget the counting and just run," Gyaan yelled, knowing they didn't even have the time to think. The moment the Alpha Command was released, no amount of Avan's coaxing would stop the wolves.
Werewolves were not only startled by the suddenness of their run, but their ears were also ringing because of Gyaan's loud yell. And this distraction of theirs gave the elements a head start.
They were almost out of the pack house when Ahana suggested, "Neer, let's create a rainbow. They have a better chance at catching us on the ground," while still running and not looking back as it could hamper her speed.
"Neer? Neer?" She turned upon not receiving any response, and came to an abrupt stop when she realized that Neer was never behind her, and neither were the werewolves.
Other elements too skidded to a stop upon realization hit them.
"Ahana, don't," Gyaan yelled, when he saw her run back inside without any plan.
Not having any choice, they all ran back inside, with full knowledge that they had just lost their chance to flee.
Gyaan, Sameera and Avan came to a stop when they saw Ahana standing still in the middle of the living room. They moved their eyes to see where her gaze was set, only to find Neer standing there frozen at the same place near the dining table, where they had last seen him.
"I forgot that there was a third 'F' too besides Fight and Flight; Freeze. Why didn't I notice his condition before?" Gyaan said, clutching his hair tightly.
"How are we going to save him?" Sameera whispered in fright, as she saw Hritika slowly advance towards him.

The werewolves were about to run after the elements, when they noticed that one of them was still standing there, looking as if he was in trance.
It was then Vivaan, Yara and Rehyaa focused on him and heard what he was muttering under his breath or was more like chanting as he kept saying the same thing like a broken record.
"Not true, not true. I didn't harm anyone. I am not a murderer. Not a murderer, not a murderer," Neer kept muttering, not knowing what was happening around him.
Upon hearing what was happening from the werewolves, Hritika requested the warriors to retract. "I think there is something more to that video."
"Are you sure? It can be a ploy to trap us," Yara asked, unsure of Hritika's decision.
Hritika shook her head, unsure for the first time in her life. "It's just a gut feeling. I feel like something's more to the video. If not entirely then at least some part of it is false. Like a dangerous half-truth."
"I have always trusted your gut feeling, Hritika. Because they are usually accompanied by your observation and logic," Nihal said, "but this time it feels like your gut feeling is getting mixed by some other feelings." Nothing about Hritika was hidden from him. He knew his cousin like the back of his hand. No matter how much she tried to hide with her poker face, her eyes always gave her away.
"I understand." Hritika gave up without fighting, as she really didn't have any proof to back her claim other than the innocence that she saw in Neer's eyes.
"I don't think Hritika would just say something like this if she didn't feel strongly about it," Yara said, siding with her sister-in-law.
Looking at Nihal's disapproving face, she added, "However, we can't just let them go based on just intuition. So how about investigating the case?" Pointing at Neer, she said, "He doesn't seem to be in the condition to attack. Why don't we use this chance to get answers out of him? At the same time, Nihal and Hritika can use their contacts to bring information from the human world."
Liking Beta's suggestion, Vivaan ordered the warriors to step back, but still asked them to be in ready position as they didn't know what could happen.
Hritika then slowly moved towards Neer, with a hope that he wasn't really a villain that was shown in that video.
Not knowing what werewolves had decided, Ahana saw Hritika's movement as a threat to her twin. Every rational thought left her mind, other than the fact that Neer wasn't capable of saving himself right now.
A fire ring appeared around Neer, so that no one could attack him from any side.
Hritika who was walking towards Neer, jumped back with fright. Her whole form shook as her eyes showed the reflection of burning flames.
"Hritika!!" The werewolves yelled, running towards her.
"Are you okay?" They asked, checking her body to see if she was hurt.
She wanted to say she was fine, but nothing came out of her mouth because of shock. She tried to speak a few times, but then gave up and just blinked her eyes to show that she was okay.
They turned back towards Neer, only to see that fire had started spreading more and more.
"Get everyone out of here," Vivaan yelled, as everything near Neer and except Neer started to burn.
The elements noticed the damage and tried to stop Ahana, but just like Neer she had too gone into a trance.
"What do we do?" Sameera cried as she noticed the heat rising in the entire room. At this rate, Ahana was going to burn everything other than Neer, even herself.
Rehyaa trembled at the sight of Ahana and hurriedly patted Vivaan's arms to turn his attention towards the girl who was breathing fire.
Vivaan's breath got stuck in his throat when he noticed that tips of Ahana's hair were on fire.
The werewolves stepped back in fright when Ahana slowly moved forward in a deadly stance. With each step she took, the higher the flames went.
"Ahana No!" Gyaan yelled, before running towards her.
Gyaan wrapped his hands around Ahana's waist, stopping her from moving forward. And yelled at Sameera and Avan, "Get Neer out of here."
"Gyaan your hands...," Sameera shrieked, looking at his hands that were on fire.
"Bhaiya move yourselves away from Didi. You are burning," Avan shouted.
"Yes, leave me...I will kill them all," Ahana said in a deadly robotic voice.
"Gyaan, she won't really kill. Just leave her," Sameera said with conviction."She can't!! None of us can."
Gyaan shook his head, while trying his best to not lose his grip on Ahana. "She can...she can go to any height if it is about protecting her twin."
"Let's bring the hose. We should put out the fire before it escalates and burns the whole pack house," Yara said, as she got her head out of the fear.
"Fire extinguisher would be better," Hritika said.
"Let's bring out both," Vivaan said.
"It won't work," Sameera said, stopping the werewolves from doing anything unnecessary and wasting timing.
Looking at the werewolves glancing at each other in confusion, she explained,
"Except Ahana, Ahana's fire cannot be extinguished by anyone else other than Neer's water."
