I heard a faint knock on the door.

"Y-Yuri are you o-ok?"

"Yeah wh-why?"

She didn't answer.

....

"Are you decent..?"

"Um I.."

It sounded like she pressed her head against the door to listen.

"Yep sink water is running, I'm coming in!"

And just like that she opened the door.

There I stood..knife in hand..sink running, blood dripping down from one of my many scars.

-Natsuki's Reality-

.....

I stood there..what am I looking at..? I looked down at the streak of blood running down Yuri's arm.

....

"Yuri.." I whispered.

"...I-It's not what I looks li-"

"Yuri!" I interrupted her.

....

"Where are your bandages?" I asked.

She stood frozen.

"Fine..I'll find them myself.."

I looked around until I finally found them.

"Hold out your arm.."

She did. I wrapped the bandages around her arm carefully.

"....Don't do this again...please...." I whispered.

She was silent.

I continued wrapping her arm up.

"..You're not mad at me..?"she asked

"Of course not..if anything I'm concerned.."

"Why?"

"I wanna know you're ok.."

...she blushed a bit..

"Next arm" I told her.

She stretched out her over arm and looked down at her now bandaged one.

I noticed these cuts were deeper. I stared at then for a moment before giving them the same treatment as the others.

"So..are you ok?"

She nodded slightly.

..

"I have to ask..why did you do this to yourself?"

She was quiet for a long time. I waited patiently for a response. And I got one.

"Sometimes..when I get...excited..too excited I.."

"You do this..?"

She nodded. I sighed a bit.

"You should stop.." I finished wrapping her arm.

I hugged her tightly.

"Because it's bad for you and someone really cares about you.." I told her quietly.

I felt her return the hug.

"Thank you..Natsuki..."

"Of course..so do you wanna read..?" I asked, wanting her to cheer up.

She nodded as I let go of her.

"Alright, come on then.."

I grabbed her hand and we walked to Yuri's room. She grabbed the manga I gave her and sat down against a wall. I sat down next to her and tried to read with her, but her long hair got in my way. She finally noticed and she slightly lifted me up and sat me down on her lap. I blushed and got a bit frustrated because I was actually comfortable.

"Can you see better now?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Good, should I go back so you can read the past pages better?"

I shook my head, "N-No I've read this before so I'm sure I'll recognize this page.."

I read the first page, "yep.."

We continued reading for a little bit. Eventually we finished the book.

...now what?

"Sooo..what now?"

"I dunno.."

...

"Wannaaaa..make cupcakes?" She asked.

My eyes lit up, "yeah! Come on!"

She laughed and picked me up then placed me on her shoulders.

"Here you can be tall today!"

I pouted for a moment but then stopped and enjoyed feeling taller than Yuri for once. When we got to the kitchen she put me down and I started searching for ingredients. Every now and then I'd see Yuri glancing down at her now bandaged arms.

"They don't itch or anything do they?" I asked.

"Hm? Oh no it's fine.."

I nodded and continued searching for ingredients.

~Yuri's Reality~

I looked down at Natsuki's list of ingredients and helped her search. Every now and then we'd bump into each other by accident and I couldn't help but blush. Once we gathered everything we started making the cupcakes right away. I had to admit, it was fun making the cupcakes with Natsuki. Well...pretty much everything was fun with her. I guess the song was correct. I like me better when I'm with her...
