Panic and stress was still the main emotion present at the Agreste Mansion.
Nathalie was forced to rest in bed whilst her boss sat on the edge of it and looked down onto the floor in misery.
"You're stupid!" The woman shouted, but didn't try to make an effort to get up because she knew that the grey haired man would always catch her, just like he did all the times that she had already tried to escape. "You're essentially waiting until something bad will happen to these kids!" Nathalie kept yelling, her arms crossed in frustration. "We could finally use our powers given by the kwamis for something good, but you immediately back down!!"
"Nath it's..."
"It's not complicated!" She cut him off. "These are your kids and even grandkids! Why are we acting like I'm the most important person in danger!?!? All that could happen to me is that I get tried."
Gabriel sighed, he had nothing to say and nothing to argue for.
He knew he was wrong, but he felt paralysed.
"You can't even say that I might end up like how Emilie ended up, because we both know that she is alive and well!" The dark haired woman sat up on the bed, causing her superior to suddenly look at her.
"Nathalie." He began, his eyes almost warning her not to think if another way to escape. "I am scared for you. I don't know what could've happened to Emilie because she stopped using the miraculous fairly quick. I-I don't know what happens to one if they use a broken miraculous for years like you have."
"But do you know what will happen to Adrien and the twins if we don't get involved?! Do you even want to imagine?!" Her voice screamed. "These are kids that are in danger and I am a fully grown adult who can perfectly take care of herself!"
"You're stubborn." Gabriel had slowly began to tear up, his voice afraid to speak properly and his face hidden away in the palm of his hand. "You're so stubborn and won't stop until you collapse!" Suddenly he yelled.
It was unexpected that the designer was using such a tone with his assistant, but truth was that the frustration of situation got the best of him.
Nathalie had nothing to say in response and no action to carry out.
Then, whilst the two adults sat in the absence of a sound; the phone rang.
In an instant Nathalie jumped up from the bed and rushed over to answer; "Hello?" Her voice shook.
The dark haired woman had no idea who it was because of how fast she had answered the call, she did not have enough time to check the name of the caller. "Who is it?!" She questioned.
"Alice." A female's voice answered to which both adults in Paris smiled.
"Oh that's great." Nathalie breathed, her body slowly becoming less tense.
"You know what else is great?" Alice's voice began again. "The news I've got for you!"
"What is it?"
"Well..."
Slowly, as the blonde woman stopped speaking and both Gabriel as well as his assistant leaned closer to the phone to listen, they heard a familiar boy's voice speak up.
"Hi mom and father." It was Adrien.
"ADRIEN!" The dark haired woman screamed.
In that moment she felt almost every emotion.
Of course, she was glad that at least the teenager she viewed as her own son was safe and in good hands, she also felt incredibly angry at the fact that the blond boy never told any of them where he was heading. So, until now Nathalie had been overwhelmingly worried for Adrien.
"How the hell did you get there?!" The assistant asked. "We were so anxious for you!"
"I'm sorry mom..." Adrien mumbled, not really sure how to explain himself or how to get himself out of trouble. "....I knew it wouldn't be easy on you, but I had to...you know I'm just as good as my father at getting on your nerves, it isn't my fault I got those genes."
"Oh stop joking when I almost had a heart attack before you called!" Nathalie sighed. "Don't ever do this again!"
"Okay." The boy promised.
For a moment everything seemed to slow down and at last the atmosphere wasn't so tense, but they all knew that this wouldn't last long.
"Alice." Nathalie's voice broke the silence. "Should we go there? Do you need our help?"
To the sound of this the blonde woman on the other line sighed.
"I wouldn't want to stress you-"
"-I would feel worse if you said no." The assistant interrupted. "I wanted to go there as fast as I could actually, but someone held me back." Her eyes pierced the designer.
"Dad might've had a point there." Alice mumbled. "We wouldn't want you getting hurt. I mean I don't even know what I am getting myself into. This plan might not even work or it might end very badly, though I promise that either way I'll make sure of Adrien's safety."
"Gosh!" The dramatic sound of the teenager could be heard in the background. "You people talk of me as if I was made of porcelain!"
"And you act as if you'd be iron man himself!" The blonde woman replied.
For a moment the line went quiet again.
Nathalie and Gabriel frozen as they listened for anything from the other side, but nothing.
The sole sound that could be heard was the obvious noise of the car motor.
The dark haired woman looked away from the phone and towards her side.
"I want to go." She whispered. "I want to go, Gabriel!"
The designer heard her words loud and clear, he simply didn't want to respond.
He wouldn't want to be the one who agreed to a plan which would hurt his assistant.
Unexpectedly, because of this unbearable ignorance from her boss, Nathalie ended the call and stood up.
"I am going!" She stated which at least got the grey haired man to look at her. "I am going and you're not going to stop me or tell me what to do!"
In the meantime the sudden ending of the call had shocked the people on the other line too, but that didn't mean that they'd stop or postpone their plan.
They had to keep going.
Alice, who was behind the wheel turned to her side for a moment in order to face her husband.
"Both of you listen." She said as her eyes moved back to look at her little brother.
"Okay." Both guys gulped in union, having no idea what to expect from the very serious look on the woman's face.
Alice took a deep breath before she began;
"I don't care if neither of you were good in PE or if neither of you have good aim, but tonight you will try your best!"
"I mean I do fencing-" Adrien was about to say, but he got cut off by his sister.
"-Well that's great, except tonight I can't give you swords to stab people." The woman stopped for a moment, raising the already crushing tension in the car. "Martin." Her eyes pierced the brown haired man. "Open the glove box."
"W-why?"
"I said open it!" Alice's voice became louder. "Open the box and don't say a word or anything."
Both men's eyes stared at the handle of the glove box, and as Martin began to slowly open it, they tried to hold back a gasp.
Unfortunately, neither of them succeeded.
"A GUN?!?! MULTIPLE GUNS?!?! ALICE WHAT THE FU-"
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO FREAK OUT!" The woman screamed as she tried to keep the car on the road while everyone was panicking.
"How do you even have these?!" Martin screamed. "I-I-I didn't know I married a mafia boss!"
"And I didn't know my sister was a criminal!"
"Oh you two are acting like babies!" The blonde woman spat. "Did you think we would take down a gang without these?!?! What were your plans?! To kill them with kindness?! We are not Selena Gomez, we can't do that!"
"Well I didn't exactly expect to shoot people to death!" The tall man stuttered in fear.
"We are talking about people who kidnapped my twins!" Alice emphasized. "And remember, if you mess with people I love, especially kids, I have NO mercy. I don't care how many people I need to get rid of, I will get MY kids back! That's a mother's anger!"
"O-okay that's fair." The boys quieted down.
Although this situation seemed rather dangerous and scary, their journey still continued.
They were on their way to take down an entire 'gang' as Alice had said and neither of the men in the moving vehicle felt that they could argue about the reliability of this plan.
They couldn't come up with a better solution themselves.
So, since the police wouldn't be fit to take care of this, they were the chosen ones to step in.
There was no going back now.
In the mean time in Paris; the dark haired woman had stormed out of the mansion and was heading towards a car.
"Nath!" Gabriel yelled as he ran to catch up with her. "Nathalie I am going with you! Wait for me."
The assistant stopped and turned around.
"Okay!" She shouted back. "But this time you're not going to be stopping me from doing anything! You're only here to help."
"I promise." The man took her hands into his. "I won't hold you back, only help." He essentially repeated her words.
Nathalie's eyes fell to the ground; for a moment she hesitated.
It felt strange to have the opportunity to go back to London.
It was a place where a lot of chaotic things happened both for her and for most people of the Agreste family.
The dark haired woman took a deep breath in.
"Let's go." She whispered, turning her back to her boss and opening the car door.
"Can I at least drive?" Gabriel interrupted, his hand grabbing the shoulder of his assistant before she sat behind the wheel. "Please?"
"Fine." She sighed, allowing him to get into the driver's seat while she walked over to the passenger seat. "But no more of holding me back from what I want to do!"
"Okay! Okay." He nodded. "I am just here to help, I know."
Nathalie broke their eye contact as she sat down inside the car and waited for her superior to start the vehicle.
It was an awkward atmosphere, almost as if something was in between them, but neither of them were willing to talk about it.
It must've been the fact that London wasn't exactly their happy place.
Matter of fact London was almost no one's happy place.
As mentioned before; no one willingly ever went there, they were simply on a mission that had to be accomplished.
So, with one last look at their Mansion where they could've stayed to avoid getting involved in this drama, Gabriel pressed down hard on the gas pedal.
"Open the glove box." The grey haired man said. "There's something in there that we'll need."
Nathalie did as instructed and when she opened the box, she smiled.
It was their miraculouses.
"You plan to show up as the bad guys?" She asked. "Won't they guess who we are then?"
"Oh." Gabriel chuckled. "That's not what I wanted you to see. Look under the miraculous boxes!"
The assistant raised her eyebrows curiously as her hands dug deeper into the glove compartment and felt something cold.
"Oh my god!" She gasped. "How did you get your hands on...GUNS?!?!"
"That's a family secret I can't share with you I'm afraid."
Nathalie gulped as she pulled out two fully loaded weapons and saw that extra bullets were stored under them.
"These were in this car the whole time?!" She exclaimed in shock. "You've been driving around in Paris with loaded guns?!"
Gabriel shrugged; "I thought you wanted to assure Adrien's and the twins' safety at any cost."
