Unfortunately for the dark haired woman time passed quickly and Gabriel drove fast which meant that within a couple of hours they'd be home.

This didn't sound bad, in fact, Nathalie looked forward to be finally back in Paris but little did she know that whilst she was gone the blond boy had declared war and officially decided that from now on the assistant wouldn't be his 'step mom' but rather his worst enemy.

So once the adults alongside with Alice's two smaller kids arrived they were all excited to step foot into the mansion and explain everything to Adrien, but as they entered the teenager was nowhere to be found.

He didn't even come downstairs when his fathered yelled "ADRIEN! SON!" , so the assistant volunteered to go up to the boy's room and check what the hell was going on.

"Adrien? Hello? Are you in there?" She knocked "We're home, and your father wishes to see you!"
"I don't care!" A harsh statement came from the other side to which Nathalie became worried so she opened the door without even asking and therefore found the teenager holding onto an old family photo with one hand, and the dark haired woman's hair tie with the other.

"Adrien...what are you doin-"
"You ruined this!" He shouted. "You ruined my family!"
"P-pardon?"
"Don't pardon me! You also know damn well that my father has completely forgot about my mother just because of you! And you don't even care since you have your own boyfriend, so you're just basically playing my dad!"
"What I would never?!" Nathalie gasped "And I-I don't have a boyfriend."
"You do! I saw him!"
"Adrien honestly, I don't know what you're talking about."

But before the kid would've gotten a chance to explain how he still thought that her and Martin were together Gabriel appeared behind his assistant.

"What's all this yelling about?" He frowned making the young woman jump in fear, but as the designer laid one arm around her waist she knew that he wasn't angry at her, instead he wanted a proper explanation from the teenager as to why he was too stubborn to come downstairs.

"Nathalie is using you father, and you're too blind to see it!" The kid shouted "She's literally together with another man whilst she's dating you!"
"What?!"
"Yeah exactly! There's this other tall brown haired guy who you argued with earlier!"
"Adrien that's-...her ex. They aren't together anymore, in fact they broke up a long time ago, isn't that right Nath?"
She nodded to his words, allowing Gabriel to continue further with his explanation.
"And son she isn't at all using me in any other way, in fact, we should actually be thankful that we have this wonderful woman in our family because you could've ended up with a much worse step mom."
"STEP MOM?!" Both the assistant and the teenager looked up at the grey haired man terrified but before he could've explained another woman's voice added which wasn't Nathalie's:

"She soon will be your step mom Adrien!"
"What the-"
"Well son if you wouldn't have been too stubborn to come downstairs then now you'd know who's speaking!" The designer looked to his side and winked at Alice who smiled back at her father, but once again the blond boy had to ruin it all:

"Is it another assistant you got so now you'll have two reasons for forgetting my mother?!"
"ADRIEN! I am NOT forgetting her, I'm simply..."
"...moving on?" Nathalie suggested to which Gabriel nodded and kissed her.
"I can't mourn her for my whole entire life. That would just drive me insane."
"Oh so you need something to distract your thoughts?!"
"No!! I simply am moving on from Emilie with someone I wish to love, and adore. But it all will take time, so I  hope Nath can understand that."
"Pfff right." The teenager scoffed "good luck loving her whilst you can't even love your own son! You're pathetic! A joke even! You really deserve no respect father and I wish my mother was here instead of you!"

Gabriel lost it there, he couldn't handle such insults coming from his own child, and before he could've realized he was already yelling:

"MOTHER ISNT HERE NOW IS SHE ADRIEN?! MOVE ON DAMN IT! AND LEAVE ME ALONE, I just want to love this woman who somehow gave me chance to love her."

The designer turned away, pulled his assistant out of the teenager's room and then slammed the door shut.

"I'm so sorry." He mumbled "I don't know how to properly confess my love to you, but trust me its there!"
"I believe you sir, don't worry. There's no need to prove anything."
"Thank you Nathalie." Gabriel kissed the young woman earning a clap from his daughter.

"Adorable!" She smiled making the two older adults blush a little. "You're so cute, I don't know why Adrien would ever even complain."
"Oh it's probably just his stubbornness he got from me."
"Probably." Nathalie repeated with a whisper in hopes that her superior wouldn't hear, but he did, and so the designer smirked down at the dark haired woman before picking her up and throwing Nathalie over his own shoulder.

"Gabriel!" She screamed out of shock.
"Don't move Nathalie! I'll drop you." He teased before turning to Alice and winking at her who also winked back and left the scene as fast as she could, so finally the two work partners could have a bit of privacy.

Gabriel took his assistant to his own room quickly enough so that Adrien (hopefully) wouldn't have realized.

"Sir! Sir stop it! There are 4 people in this house other than us! If they-"
"Hush Nathalie" the designer interrupted as he placed her down onto the mattress "No one will notice. Plus Alice ships us like no one else so-"
"Still! Sir I thought you mentioned taking things slow and this surely isn't-"
"Okay well...I promise to only lay next to you, is that better?"
"I guess, but I shouldn't be sleeping yet, I mean will Alice and her kids find the guest bedroom? Don't they need a bit of showing around?"
Nathalie worried but her boss just chuckled as he took the woman into his arms and crawled further onto the bed so that he could lay down whilst tilting his back against the cushions.

"They'll manage, plus maybe Adrien can help. But you my darling, you should sleep. In fact we both should after this long trip to London and back."
"Fine but-"
"But what? Don't worry the kids will get along, and if they don't then that's something to worry about after you've gotten proper rest!"
"Okay sir." She sighed allowing herself to lean back into his touch more and almost in an instant falling asleep.

After waking up to laughter coming from downstairs both adults jumped awake thinking that something was wrong because the sound of joy was not often heard in this house.
But as they rushed downstairs to see the 'trouble' they found nothing.
It was simply Adrien playing around with the two small kids of Alice who supervised all of the kids with a wide smile.

"Oh look who's here!" She laughed after spotting her 'parents'.

Everyone looked up with a smile except the teenage boy, he still had a grumpy face on which worried Gabriel and Nathalie, but once he spoke they all calmed down:

"How dare you father! How dare you not tell me that I had such a wonderful sister?!"
"I-" the man sighed in relief almost falling back for a second but his assistant 'caught' him "I'm glad you two get along so well, this is truly wonderful to see." Now he sobbed which made everyone else giggle, everyone except Nathalie. She just looked at her boss, tilted his head down to face hers and then the woman stood on her tiptoes to reach his lips with hers.

They kissed for a little while, and then the realization that they were being watched broke them apart.

Nathalie blushed embarrassed whilst her partner tried to make things less awkward as he spoke again.

"Maybe we should have dinner, no?"
"Maybe dad" Alice chuckled "maybe if you have time for us, but we wouldn't want to break you away from your wonderful new girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?!" Nathalie grabbed her boss's shirt who just smirked at the young woman and teased her.
"Yeah maybe I have some time to spare on my kids, but maybe my girlfrie-"
"Sir! I'm not your girlfriend! We-us-you haven't even asked me to date you a-and y-you a-agreed to take things s-slow!"
"Fine." He chuckled seeing his assistant so flustered "but soon, soon you'll be mine okay?"
"Let's just make dinner!"
Nathalie broke away from his arms and almost ran into the kitchen.

Everyone laughed, everyone except Adrien.
He frowned and decided to follow the assistant.

"Hey...Nathalie?" The blond boy whispered as he touched her back but since the young woman didn't expect him to be there she jumped.
"What! Oh it's just you...Adrien."
"Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, plus I didn't mean to insult you earlier. It just sort of slipped a-and I really thought you were together with that other guy."
"Oh-...it's alright. I understand your anger."
"Well thanks, but I'll try to be better."
He gave her a shy smile to which the young woman smirked back and without a warning hugged the child.
"Take your time Adrien, there's a lot to be processed, even for me."

After successfully making the dinner everyone sat down in their chairs and awkwardly stared at each other.

"So-...uhh-...you two get along well?" Gabriel broke the silence as he handed around the mashed potatoes.
"Yes, or at least I think that Adrien likes the kids." Alice began to which her brother nodded along.
"They're cute!"
"They are, aren't they Nathalie?"

The young assistant looked up confused as to why her name had been specifically mentioned, but she just ignored that and nodded:

"Yes, very adorable!"

They all chuckled at her answer thinking the same thing which scared the woman very much as all three Agrestes thinking the same thing could never mean something good.

"Maybe you should have them then!"
Alice smirked earning a confused look from Nathalie as she drank her water and then cleared her throat.
"Have them? As in take them from you? Wouldn't that be a bit strange-"
"No! That's not how I mean it."
"Well then-"
"Darling!" Gabriel coughed to interrupt "I think Alice meant that you and I should have them."
"Yeah-...so she herself doesn't want the kids?"
"No Nathalie no!" Adrien laughed now almost falling over "She meant you have the kids with my father! As in make the kids yourself!"
"A!" She understood "Absolutely not! That's ridiculous! How could you even thinking such a thin-"
"Nath! Calm down, you're acting too much like me, and I'm pretty sure that just 1 of Gabriel Agreste is already too much for the world."
"Well-" the young woman was lost for words. She wanted to run away, curl up into a ball and cry, but she couldn't, so Nathalie just shook her head and replied "Well I was simply saying that it's stupid to even think that! You and me might be close but-...but kids for me are too much work and dedication! Plus aren't you the one deeply traumatized from having kids?! It's just ridiculous to even mention!"

Everyone froze as they observed the dead look on the grey haired man's face.

"Nathalie-"
"Sir? Isn't that right?"
"Nathalie-"
"Shouldn't you be the one who obviously doesn't want any more kids?! Or what happened?! Does your terrific scaring past suddenly not bothering you anymore? Is it all resolved?"
"NATHALIE DAMN IT!" He shouted making everyone freeze in their spots, everyone except the dark haired woman.
"DONT DAMN ME GABRIEL! I am not the one who hurt you in the past! I'm not even the woman who you hurt alongside with in the past! I'm just your assistant in the current moment!"
