"So...what are we going to do here?!" Adrien forced a smile onto his face as Felix kept walking down the dark alleyway which didn't seem so safe and nice.
"I'll just show you around."
"G-great!"
The teenager nervously laughed when they stopped.
Suddenly his cousin quickly turned around, looked to his left, looked to his right, and after making sure that no one was there he pushed the handle of a door down which led into a badly lit room.
At first Adrien hesitated to step inside but eventually he didn't want to get left outside on the streets so he just followed Felix.
The room turned out to be a hallway and as they walked further down it the sound of music got louder and louder. Eventually when the older teenager pulled a pair of curtains aside Adrien had just realized where they ended up being.
"Is this a-"
"Club full of prosti-...I mean whores?...yes. But don't worry I didn't come for the girls."
Adrien still wasn't eased from that sentence and it felt rather disturbing as he had to walk through the whole club just to get to the other side. There his cousin pushed open another door and they entered a cramped tiny little office.
"We're just gonna get some money." Said Felix as he found a secretly hidden safe and began to guess the code of it.
And even without using any real effort he got that thing open.
"Woah that's a LOT of cash...are you sure you're allowed to take it?"
"Yeah whatever, my mom's new 'boyfriend' is the boss here. He won't be so mad if I take some."
"By some you mean...20k euro?"
"Just a little something for our trip."
He winked after closing the safe and placing it back to the exact same spot he had found it in.
Then before the kids could've left a woman walked in. She was barely wearing anything so Adrien immediately looked away as he felt guilt for even having the thought of staring but Felix just shook her hand and acted as if they'd known each other for years (well maybe they did)
"How's your daddy Felix? Is he alright?"
"He's great! He was just feeling a bit sick so he couldn't come, don't worry though, I'm sure he'll be here tomorrow. You know he just can't get enough of you."
"Ow aren't you a sweetheart! Tell him I hope he gets better, and I'm sending kisses....a LOT!"
"He'll be happy!" The teenager laughed as he grabbed his cousin's wrist and dragged Adrien out of the office.
"Who was she?"
"Some whore my dad likes. There's many of them. In fact this dirty place is where they live." Felix spat as he looked around and wherever his eyes would land all he could see were woman lowering themselves onto a man's level just to get their money. "You see Adrien, this is business, or at least that's what they call it here."
"It's horrible." The younger cousin could barely even formulate a sentence after looking at all of these adults quite literally selling their bodies just to get a little something.
"Yeah but you can't blame them. Everyone has needs. Even my stupid father."
"Wait-...I'm sorry to ask...but you mean your actual real father? I-isn't he d-dead?!?!"
"No, it's a long story, but basically he faked his death. Just don't tell anyone Adrien!! Not even Amelie my mother knows, she still thinks he is dead!"
As Felix had explained that Adrien got so confused that he didn't even want to think any further of this matter so he just shook his head in order to forget everything.
...
"Well why can't you just track his emotions?!?!" The assistant asked impatiently as she looked up at Hawk Moth and doubted if he even had any powers.
"I'm trying Nathalie I'm trying! But it appears that Adrien isn't sad or frustrated so I can't find him."
"FUCKING DAMN IT GABRIEL!"
"IM SORRY! IM ALSO NERVOUS, HE IS LITERALLY MY KID! HES THE ONLY FAMILY I HAVE LEFT!"
The designer shouted as he de-transformed and fell to his knees, but Nathalie didn't get down to help him, no, she stood the exact same way she did before and looked down at her boss with a judgmental glare.
Instead it was only Martin who kneeled next to Gabriel and helped him calm down a bit.
"We're never going to find him if you're both arguing. So stop trying to figure out who he is more important to and just work together!!"
"Wow that helped! Thanks for such a motivational speech but as you can see Mr Agreste can't get his shit together!"
"Nathalie! He's hurt! And you've done this!"
"I-...but Adrien!"
The assistant stuttered as she tried to find a proper excuse that could cover her bitchy behavior but soon enough before she could've spoken Martin held her face in his palm and gave the woman a serious stare.
"Can't you see his issues run deeper than just loosing Adrien. Gabriel obviously has some things he hasn't told anyone, and I think you really need to free him from those thoughts."
"Why me?"
"Because you're the one he values more. I'm his enemy."
The assistant sighed.
She wasn't in a comforting mood but Nathalie still did as told and kneeled down to her boss.
At first the designer didn't bother to look up but once Nathalie lifted his face he basically had to stare at her.
"Sir do you-"
"No it's fine."
He pulled away leaving Nathalie hopeless and just more annoyed. She looked back at Martin who just rolled his eyes and kneeled down next to the assistant.
"Gabriel? We won't be able to find Adrien unless you're being completely honest with us! So...what's bothering you?"
...
Now Adrien had no idea where they were heading but the apartment they stepped into looked much more homey than that 'strip club' (if you will).
"Ava! We're home! AVA!" Felix shouted aggressively as if he would've demanded her girlfriend to be there already.
"Y-yes-s y-yes-s sorry...hello there Adrien! You're Adrien right?"
"Yes hello..."
"Ava." The young woman smiled whilst she shook his hand and then she looked up at her boyfriend. Immediately her face became dead serious.
"I don't even get a hug?" Felix asked disappointedly but of course just in that same second his girlfriend immediately solved the problem.
Ava hugged him tight as if she wouldn't have ever wanted to let go, but Felix just smiled down at her whilst he also began to fiddled with his girlfriend's hair before whispering: "Are you angry?"
"A little. You always leave so fast it makes me feel miserable."
"I'm sorry, you know I had to pick up Adrien, but I promise to make up for this."
"Alright," Ava sighed pulling away because she knew he wouldn't actually make up for it properly. It would just be some emotionless fucking and they'd call it 'done'.
But before she could've done anything about it Felix took Adrien's hand and walked him around the small apartment.
"So, that will be your bedroom, and that's our bedroom if you were wondering."
"Our?" The innocent teenager repeated but immediately regretted that when his cousin gave him a death stare.
"Me and Ava, got a problem with that?"
"N-no I just didn't think she-"
"She's my girlfriend Adrien, what did you think?"
"I-...you live together?"
"Yes!"
"O-oh alright then."
The younger cousin awkwardly laughed as he tried to avoid any conflict but Felix didn't look very happy, he looked rather pissed off.
"It's alright Felix, I'm sure your cousin didn't mean it in an insulting way."
"I know." He spat pulling 'his woman' close and giving her a kiss before continuing to speak "anyways...so that's the kitchen-"
"Wait, it's your own apartment? You bought it with your own money?" Adrien questioned but again realized that this made his cousin get frustrated rather quickly to the point where his girlfriend would need to step in.
"Yes! I own this place!"
"Cool."
"ANYWAYS-...so as I was saying earlier this is the kitchen but we don't have an oven, only a microwave."
...
"I'd rather not say." Gabriel sniffed whilst he turned back to face both Nathalie and Martin.
"Is it really that bad?"
"Nathalie! Be respectful! Of course it's bad if he doesn't want to talk about it!"
But to that the assistant only rolled her eyes and grabbed the butterfly brooch off of Gabriel's clothes.
"I'll be even more 'respectful' by finding Adrien myself! You weren't any help anyway."
And with that she transformed using the butterfly miraculous which gave her a dark purple skintight suit that had a corset on it to emphasize the waist part. And of course her face got covered by a butterfly shaped mask.
"Nathalie no wait!"
Gabriel yelled but it was already too late as she had jumped away and onto the roofs where no one could go after her.
Now both Martin and the designer felt left behind but they couldn't do much about it and instead of helping by using the broken peacock miraculous Gabriel went back to crying.
Of course Martin had noticed but he didn't quite know how to react.
His brain was telling him to stay behind and comfort the designer whilst his heart demanded that he'd go after Nathalie and make sure that she wouldn't get hurt.
Meanwhile this Nathalie had already made some progress; she'd created an akuma army and sent them all out to search for Adrien.
The assistant hoped that with the help of thousands of butterflies it would be easier to find the teenager but little did she know that Adrien was actually in a completely different country.
...
So now since it was getting late in London Adrien settled down and began to unpack his luggage.
First he neatly placed his shirts into a pile, then his pants, and finally all of the others things like socks, shoes and underwear.
Then after he was done with that the teenager jumped into bed and got comfortable.
It wasn't too bad, especially when he considered that his cousin bought this place all by himself with his own precious money.
Meanwhile the innocent minded cousin spent his time trying to fall asleep whilst thinking about how his day went the more 'mature' minded cousin was in bed, but he wasn't completely alone, in fact Ava was right on top of him.
She sat in his lap, so that her back was leaned against his chest and Felix held onto her waist so that he could pull her back anytime he felt the need to do so.
"Darling, would you like to join us on a little trip?" The young man whispered as he had snuggled his head into his girlfriend's soft hair which smelled amazing!
"I guess, I wouldn't want to be alone."
"Alright...but do you feel alone? Like when I leave, for 'work'?"
"Yeah, you might not realize but almost every time after we...you know, do 'it'...you leave. I mean you rarely want to cuddle and-" the young woman couldn't even finish her sentence before tears began to stream down her face.
Of course by seeing his girlfriend like this Felix had realized that he messed up, but in reality he just really wasn't that romantic type of a person.
He definitely had no experience in being 'sweet', 'cute', or 'adorable', so Felix always had a hard time when it came to please his girlfriend's needs.
She wanted a sweetheart, someone who would kiss her, compliment her endlessly but sadly her actual boyfriend rarely did any of those things.
Of course he did kiss and compliment her whenever they'd make love but otherwise Felix would be emotionless.
So emotionless that not even Gabriel could compare.
Speaking of Gabriel he was still on the floor but at least his crying had calmed down a little.
And by seeing that now the grey haired man was able to talk Martin layed a hand on his shoulder and encouragingly said:
"Look I know I'm not your favorite person but if you want to tell me-"
"Martin, that's nice of you but...we're not that close." The designer force a smile onto his face whilst wiping his tears away "...besides we should really go after Nathalie! I don't want to lose her again!"
