By the time I made it back to my hotel room I was at the end of my rope. I couldn't believe I let her stay in that building, nevermind just feet outside the door of the man who literally gave her to me for the entire night!

I felt the vibration of my phone in my pocket. "What?" I barked, not even looking at the caller ID before answering.

"Good meeting?" My Alpha asked after only a moments hesitation. He knew I would have never spoken to him like that if I had known.

I was now pacing the room like a caged animal. "I am going to kill him!" My wolf was too close to the surface.

Jack chuckled. "Mason said he was a real peach." That was an understatement.

I was shaking my head. "No, Jack, you don't understand. That...that...asshole just gave me my mate for the whole night so she could seal the deal! My MATE!" My voice was all growl now.

Jack was silent. "You found your mate?" I could hear the caution and excitement in his voice.

That was when the reality kicked in. I finally found my mate. A smile broke across my face. "Yeah. She is so beautiful, shy and so fragile. She is amazing," there was no hiding the dreaminess in my voice.

"Congratulations! I am really happy for you Nate." He paused then became more serious. "Listen to me carefully, Nate. I do not condone killing an innocent. Stop and listen!" Jack bit out once I started to protest. "We are not judge, jury, and prosecutor in the human world. What he is doing is absolutely appalling. Second, you are in another's territory. There are rules. You know any harm or worse done by our hands will have consequences there." I stood there quietly fuming but understood and waited for Jack to say something else. He finally sighed, "Go to the vampires and tell them what you told me. Well at least tell them they have another human predator on their hands. We have a fragile alliance with them but I also know they prefer stalking another predator than an innocent. It gives them a thrill to see another who believes they are on the top of the food change to prey."

I hated the idea of going back there but to save other women I would do it. I knew if I hurt that man than it might be me with the death sentence on my head. I just found my mate and there was no way I was going to lose her. She needed to be protected. I needed to protect her
