Winner of the Rising Authors category, 2019
It's a pleasure to be able to interview you! How are you today?
I'm doing fine. How are you?
I'm doing well, thanks for asking ^^ Let's jump right into the questions! Congratulations on winning first place in the Rising Authors category. How do you feel about that and what was your initial reaction to the news? Did you brag about it to your family and friends? (;
Thank you! Well, when I first heard about these awards I wasn't sure if I should participate or not. I wasn't confident about my writing at that time (still am not) so it was a complete shock to me that my readers actually voted for me. Happy doesn't even begin to describe how I felt at that time. I was shocked, elated and yes I spent the rest of the day bragging to my friends lol. My family does not know about this hobby of mine since I've kept it a secret.
Thats understandable! I'm gad you decided to enter in the end, it sure turned out well! What was your inspiration for the story? Was it something that came to you all at once or did the idea take a while to develop?
Well, around last year I had exhausted most books on wattpad related to naruto. Whenever I'd read books, began thinking that I wouldn't do it this way and had other such thoughts. Then, one day out of nowhere an idea popped up into my head about my oc. And then I began doodling ideas at the back of my textbooks until I decided to create a story out of it. I want to turn a cliche into a not cliche type and that's why I chose Rebirth. It shows the struggles of my oc where she has to choose between the world and her family. Also, by making a new villain for my oc I've kept an air of mysteriousness. This story only took a few days to develop. Now, whenever I'm writing more chapters the rest just comes to me automatically.
Interesting process! Since many of your followers will be reading this interview, do you have anything you'd like to tell them? About yourself or your stories?
Well, firstly I'd like to thank them for reading my book! I appreciate them a lot and words can't express it. *sends a virtual hug to everyone* I never could've reached this place or gotten first place without their support. I just want to tell them to look out for plot twists starting from Pain's arc. ;)I think they know a lot about me already. (✿◡‿◡)
I'm sure they'll be happy to read this (: Is Saisei your favorite story of the ones you've written? Or is it one of the others you have posted? If so, tell me about that story.
Well, Saisei is my main book I'm working on at the moment. I have a one shots book and another book called 'The Life After' (A Sakura Haruno fic) which is used to relieve exam pressure. I've worked hard for Saisei and the oc (Akina) is basically a self insert. I love the character developments I've given to each one of them and yeah, I guess you could say Saisei is my favorite. (。^▽^)
Will you be entering any other works into next years contest? Should I expect to give you another interview in 2020? (;
Lol I'm not sure so far! I mean, I still have to complete Saisei and that's gonna take some work. ^.^
For now, my aim is to become a well known author for Naruto fanfics and probably make a few collabs with other authors whom I look up to like Strawhat_pirate, uchihaa and others. But that's like a long way to go!
Well, I hope to see you next year ^^ Anyways, is there anyone, other than your general fan base, to which you'd like to give a shoutout to? On wattpad or not.
Well LRBlade and King_Yoonie have been my supporters since the early days which I appreciate a lot! YooTip is a good friend of mine on wattpad and she gives me multiple tips to improve my writing. Then I also would like to thank rachangel. She's my friend irl and she encouraged me to begin writing in the first place.
Sounds like some great people have your back (: And this is our last question. If you could describe your writing style and how you like to structure your books in five words, how would you describe what has brought you so much success on wattpad?
Funny, unpredictable, enticing, believable, emotional are the five words I'd use to describe my book. My writing style needs more work but I know I'm improving. But anyways, I feel that by taking a cliche genre I've turned it around by not making it cliche? For example: Akina is forming her own little group which helps her. Instead of joining the Akatsuki/ Orochimaru or staying in Konoha like most oc's, she's setting her own path. She is forming her own little team. I haven't read a single book where the oc has done that so far. Many people want to save the Akatsuki. I for one, am not saving any except for two members. So I guess you can say that my oc is original to the typical 'rebirth' genre. I feel that that is one of the main reasons as to why I'm successful. Sure, its cliche in the beginning but in Shippudden its really not.
And that concludes our interview! It's been a pleasure ^^ Is there anything else you'd like to say?
Thank you for taking the time to interview me. Its been a pleasure. I hope you guys continue reading my story and have fun! I wish everyone who won a congratulations!
