It was another day in konoha village. Well it would be if you didn't see a little boy with messy blonde hair and blue eyes, with whiskers on his face.

This little boy is none other than Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, just trying to survive each day ever since his family basically neglected him his entire life. How he's even alive to begin with...with the help of the only people in the village who don't hate him.

???: Naruto! Quick!

He dashed inside the small restaurant while a young girl with dark brown hair quickly closed it and hid Naruto in the back of the kitchen where no one would see him.

The owner and his daughter act like nothing is wrong as they see a group of people run by looking for something......or someone. A few minutes later they left the area to search in a different area.

Naruto: Are they gone?
He asked peaking out of his hiding place.

???: Yes, their gone....for now.
He said as he lets out a breath of relief.

Naruto: You know you didn't have to help me old man.

Old man: Well if it wasn't for this "old man" than you would have been seriously hurt or worse.

He looked down knowing that he was right. If it wasn't for him to begin with then he would have been injured again.....or worse.

Old man: I don't understand why they still do this especially to a mere 7 year old.

???: I don't know why either father.

Old man: Hey Naruto would you like some Ramen?

Naruto: You know I can pay for it you know?

Old man: After everything you've been through, and yet your still this selfless? Naruto, promise me something.

Naruto: Yeah?

Old ,an: The people of this very village may see you as a monster, but yet you have a heart of pure kindness. Promise me that you will never let anyone take advantage of your kindness.

Naruto: I promise. Mr. Ichiraku.
He said tearing up a bit.

Ichiraku didn't say anything just smiled and hugged him along with his daughter. While Naruto cried tears of happiness knowing that there were always people in the world to care for him.

It was the next day in the evening and today was a special someone's birthday. Only problem was there was no one to celebrate it with. Naruto just cried in his room, well if you can even call it a room. It was just a blanket, a pillow, only source of light was the window that let in moon light at night.

There was a pile of old, ripped and dirty clothes in the corner. While there was a pile of dirty bandages next to it. Everyone was having a grand time downstairs until Naruto heard something that made his heart stop.

He went downstairs and peaked around the corner only to see his father making an announcement.

Minato: Everyone, I would like announce that Naruko and Menma are going to be the future heads of both the Uzumaki and Namikaze clans.

Everyone cheered as two people walked up to them.

These people were grandpa Jiraiyah and grandma Tsunade.

Minato: Master Jiraiyah and Tsunade, to what do I ow the pleasure?

Jiraiyah: What can't a couple of people come by and give a couple people their own gifts.

Menma: Gifts?

Naruko: What gifts?

They revealed their gifts to be both the Toad scroll and the Slug scroll. Menma got the toad while Naruko got the Slug scroll.

It broke Narutos heart that it was also his birthday but yet everyone acted like he wasn't even real. And the fact that he was basically thrown out of the clan since he was declared the clan head.

Naruto didn't even say anything he just went back up to his room, climbed down through the window, and ran to Ichiraku Ramen with tears spilling from his eyes.

Once he got there they saw the tears and immediately brought him in. He told them everything that happened and them being mad would be and understatement.......they were absolutely FURIOUS!!

Ichiraku wanted to storm over there and knocj some sense into them all. But either way it wouldn't matter. Ayama asked if they could do anything only for her father to say that even if they could do something the people of the village wouldn't allow it.

Since apparently if it was any other person then yes they would allow it. But since it's Naruto then its a definite no.

Naruto decided to take a walk through the forest of death since he knew that no one would find him there, he told Ichiraku that he'll be back tonight, only for him to say be careful.

Naruto was walking through the forest of death hoping time will go by much faster. As he was walking he saw a strange staff that was in the ground.

A/N: Imagine it's in the ground.

For some reason unknown Naruto heard it call out to him. He slowly walked towards it and managed to pull the staff out of the ground. Then something bizarre happened the head of the staff started to glow brightly until it started to blind Naruto only for it to dim as he saw was a man before him.

???: Hm, oh hey kid.

Naruto:....

???: Uhh, kid?

Naruto instantly dropped the staff and then ran as fast as he could only to get wrapped by one of the man's arms as he started to struggle.

???: Kid, could you please calm down?

Naruto kept struggling until he ended up passing out due to exhaustion.

The stranger looked at him him only to see he fell asleep. He sighed a bit in frustration until he saw all the cuts, bruises, and bandages on his body.

???: W-what the hell!? (Who would do this to a kid!?)

After a couple hours Naruto began to wake up only to see he was laid next to the stranger who was sitting next to him.

???: So are you willing to talk?

Naruto out of instinct backed up against a tree while the the stranger only looked at him with a worried and hurt expression.

???: Look can I at least get your name?
He said in a gentle tone.

Naruto:...N-naruto.
He said nervously.

Buddha: Alright, well my name is Buddha. Now can you tell me where you got all those wounds from?

Naruto looked away not wanting to respond to that answer.

Buddha: Look, I want to help you but I can't if you won't tell me. Please?
He asked in a pleading tone.

Naruto caved and told him his life story. How the villagers minus two people treat him. How his parents favor his twin sister and brother and basically neglect him. To what happened at the birthday party today. Buddha has met and helped many people throughout his life. But the story of Naruto....for the first time in his life brought him to tears.

He noticed that Naruto started crying and decided to wrap him in his arms. He struggled at first only to feel the warmth of his body. And slowly hugged back with his tears staining his tank top a bit. But he didn't care.

After a few minutes they let go and Naruto noticed something.

Naruto: Oh shoot! I almost forgot about ichiraku.

Buddha: Why don't you take me there wit you?

Naruto: Ok.

After an hour of walking its now night time in the village we see ichiraku looking around the shop for Naruto as he hasn't shown up yet.

Ichiraku: Oh where are you Naruto.
He said worried for the boy.

As he kept looking he heard footsteps and turned around to see a man with his hair in a sort of bun holding....NARUTO!

Ichiraku: Naruto!

He rushed over to check on the boy.

Buddha: It's ok, he's alright.

Ichiraku still checked to see if he was alright onky to let out a relieved breath.

Ichiraku: I thank you kind sir.

Ayama: Father is Naruto- OH, uhhh, hello there.
She said nervous about the man infront of her.

Buddha: Yo.

Ichiraku: Mr...

Buddha: Call me Buddha.

Ichiraku: Well, Mr. Buddha, would you like some ramen?

Buddha: Are you sure cause I don't have anything to pay for it.

Ichiraku: Nonsense, it on the house.

Buddha: Well then I guess why not.

After eating some ramen and talking to one another, Buddha decided to ask Naruto something important.

Buddha: Hey Naruto?

Naruto: Hm?

Buddha: I was wondering something....

Naruto: Yeah what is it?

Buddha: Well, I was wondering if you'd like me to adopt you and train you?

Naruto froze, thinking of the words that came out of the gods mouth.

Naruto: Why though?

Buddha looked at him with a raised brow and a hum.

Naruto: Why would you want to take in someone like me? I'm just a monster.

Buddha: Because the people of this very village may see you as a monster, I only see you as a young boy who just needs some help.

Naruto:....

Ichiraku: I say go with him.

Naruto looked at ichiraku.

Ichiraku: I say you should go with him. There isn't much for you here anyway, so why not go with him?

Naruto: But...your here.
He said starting to tear up.

Ichiraku: Naruto, understand this. No matter how far you may be or wherever in the world you may be. You'll always be with us. As we'll be with you...in here.
He said pointing at Narutos heart.

Ichiraku: Plus, I think it's a good idea.

Buddha: Sometimes it's wise to listen to your elders, because they hold the most wisdom then anyone else out there.

Naruto thought for a couple minutes then came with his answer....

Naruto:....I'll accept.

Buddha: That's good to hear, understand that the training you will go through will be difficult. And when the time comes I'll give you this staff.

Naruto: Alright! I won't let you down!

Buddha: That's the spirit kid. Hey old guy how bout one more bowl for the road.

Ichiraku: *laughs* You got it. But Naruto promise me something.

Naruto: Yeah?

Ichiraku: Promise me that you'll come back one day.

Naruto:...I promise.

Ichiraku didn't say anything just nodded with a big smile on his face.

After they both had their fill they set off on their journey. After ichiraku packed some food for Naruto just incase.

Now if you're curious why I chose Buddha for this particular story it's mostly because there aren't alot of Naruto x crossover stories. At least some good ones out there.
