I've been thinking of a way to try and put down all my thoughts about this "uchiha curse of hatred" and "sasuke darkness" bullshit that kishimoto been raving about and my head just goes AAAAARGH.

Note that this rant is very angry and contains swears. I seriously cannot talk about this without getting so mad.

1. THE CURSE OF HATRED

Bullshit.

The curse of hatred is a shitty rumour that people spread around to try and invalidate the anger the Uchiha clan felt over been tossed aside (though they were one of the two founders) by Konoha and being ostracized and discriminated against.

Konoha FEARED the Uchiha, they kept them in monitored positions to oppress them, and treated them like animals at a zoo because they had the sharingan.

So first of all Tobirama says that, one of the co founders of the village and the key reason that peace was formed cannot become Hokage due to the stigma around the Uchiha clan and Madara as a person. Then proceeds to talk about the incredibly dumb rumour that "tHE mOre hAtrEd, tHe sTroNgEr tHe shAriNgAn"

The sharingan is activated in moments of EXTREME EMOTION, which can be caused by traumatic experiences. It's not about the hatred, it's about the emotion. But yknow, Konoha sucks anyways so.

a cuRSed cLAN.

This is the EXACT reason why i can't STAND tobirama, no matter what people say. His discrimination and prejudice is just–

The Uchiha are NOT a cursed clan ffs.

–they were ostracized
–nasty rumours were spread about them
–people were afraid of them
–they were not allowed to have any political position (the police force is not a political position pls, it's a chance of oppression)
–they were called cold, distant, rude, evil, etc
–they were blamed for the nine tailed attack, and the hate towards the clan grew exponentially

And now you want to tell me that after all that hate and discrimination the Uchiha are just going to go "oh it's all dandy good jolly mate let's go eat crumpets and tea HOHO" .

Fuck no.

They aren't a cursed clan. They're a clan that have been given the short and ugly end of the fucking stick and because of that they want to revolt and seek justice ffs.

And then they ended up being massacred because of Konoha's prejudice.

Here are two excerpts from my book "Masters Of Deception" to explain exactly what I mean.

2. sAsuKe iS cOnSuMed bY dArKNESS.

Say it with me guys

BULL. SHIT.

Sasuke had an ambition to kill the man that SLAUGHTERED his entire CLAN. Sasuke was not "consumed by hatred", no, Sasuke had a legitimate reason ffs.

You can say that Sasuke was traumatized yes. You can say that Sasuke was mentally unhealthy and needed a bit of Serotonin in his life, yes. But the darkness bs is an irrelevant claim.

In the beginning, Sasuke was not blinded by anything. He knew exactly what he wanted and was willing to do anything to reach his goal. And after a while of bonding with Team 7 I can't say that Sasuke had forgotten his ambition, but it generally seemed like he was moving to a much healthier mindset (at least from what I remember). But when Itachi came and Sasuke realised that he truly hadn't gotten any closer to his goal, that's when the frustration with himself began to kick in, the trauma from seeing that murderer brother again, and his brother putting him in an awful genjutsu that lasted for 48 hours (i think).

This is not "the dArkNess", what you're seeing is a traumatized and rightfully angry dude.

And then Naruto Kakashi and Sakura with their stupid ass crap ass useless ass :

The fact that Naruto Sakura nor kakashi bothered to ask "hey sasuke, do you wanna talk about this. What happened? What's going on?" And LISTEN to what Sasuke had to say instead of just writing him off as some vengeance obsessed freak is the main reason why I think Team 7 can kiss an old turtle's ass.

They just wanted to fit him in whatever box they saw fit and never, EVER, understood him. 🗿Naruto can go fuck off with his stupid ass brotherly bond and Sakura can go double fuck off with her tunnel vision lUrVEE.

Kakashi can fuck me.

Sasuke following Orichimaru was not him being consumed by darkness omg. Sasuke KNEW orichipedo was a snake and  was just going there to train then kill the shit outta orichimaru. Sasuke leaving was perfectly justified and y'all can't tell me otherwise.

And then when Sasuke came back in shippuden looking as cold and as fine as ever goddamn i –wait I'm getting off track.

I'll say this–Sasuke wanting to destroy Konoha is not him being consumed by darkness either. (Wtf does being "consumed by darkness" even mean like–).

Honestly wanting to nuke Konoha was the best decision that man had ever made. Konoha is a trash village that killed off their strongest clan bc they were mad that the Uchiha were revolting after years of discrimination hah oKAY–

When Sasuke was out to kill Danzou, I kinda wanna say he was consumed by darkness then, but at the same time I don't want to say that. I'd say what Sasuke was feeling was pure hatred, and all that hatred and anger finally came to the surface and caused him to stab Karin, leave Juugo and Suigetsu to die, and then try to choke Sakura out. It was one of the the lowest points for him mentally, because although he killed Danzou the pain hadn't subsided, the anger wasn't gone. His clan was still dead and though killing Danzou had let off some of that steam, the hatred would still remain.

Forever.

I'd like to make another point.

People at a point of privilege (rich, white, cis male, straight, etc) tend to do this thing where they invalidate the oppressed group's anger with pointless claims.

"Omg the black people are looting and burning cars"

Yeah, they are, but for some damn reason I think you've forgotten that black people in western countries have been experiencing police brutality for years and having been DYING because of this but sure go off i guess.

"Omg she just said she hates all men"

Yeah, she did, but for some reason i think you've forgotten that for years women have been abused, harassed, and undervalued by society by men but ok just be butthurt over a sentence i guess.

What I'm trying to say is, this is the narrative that plays into the Uchiha clan. Konoha saw the revolting and the anger but never saw the discrimination and the hatred they gave the Uchiha.

Naruto saw Sasuke leave Konoha and try to destroy it but didn't care about what had led up to the events, even after he was told.

"the darkness" "the curse of hatred" they're just ways to invalidate Sasuke's and the Uchiha's anger towards the system that completely fucked them over, and I'm sick of hearing it.
