You can go so many WAYS with the naruto world. There's so much to explore and so many headcanons that can easily pass off as canon bc kishi didn't exactly do the best worldbuilding (but I'm not mad at that, it's one of the things in naruto that never bothered me bc i get to squeeze Fanfictions out of it).

You can GO SO MANY WAYS. LIKE IN KONOHA ALONE you can talk about the dying out of the senju, the hyuuga clan, the dynamic between clans, danzou and ROOT, TENTEN (pls), even civilian lives and how it's accepted by shinobi and how the two clash

OUTSIDE OF KONOHA there's just so MUCH TO EXPLORE. The mist's caste systems, the hidden rain and their secrecy and crime, the hidden cloud and their obsession with kidnapping people, there's absolutely nothing about the hidden stone meaning you can go wild, WHY THE UZUMAKI'S HOMELAND WAS DESTROYED, rogue ninjas, small villages, NON shinobi villages and how they cope, KINGDOMS (according to the Naruto movies).

...and that's just the social-political stuff.

You could go OFF with romance I swear. Romance in the Naruto world would SLAP because it can be so COMPLEX. Imagine a civilain-shinobi love and how the civilian would clash with the shinobi with their two conflicting ideals in life. Imagine pairing up main characters with people you wouldn't even THINK OF (eg, Naruto and Shino, Ino and Neji, Shikamaru and Sakura, Itachi and Neji). Imagine the dynamics of a rogue and a patriotic citizen. Imagine a forbidden clan romance (Senju Uchiha). Imagine all the good SEX that could come out of it.

Imagine the OCCSS omg. So much could be done with them from the character stats to their clans to their reason to live to their purpose in the ninja world.

Imagine ALLLL this.

the main reason why fanfiction writers aren't considered writers is because of the absolute trash that comes out of this website and tbh I don't blame people for thinking that. A lot of writers here are not writing Fanfictions bc they're authors that want to share ideas with the world, nope, they're writing fanfictions because they want to imagine themselves in some pseudo fantasy version of the naruto world and they just want to live out their perfect mary sue oc life.

And that's fine you do you, but it hurts my soul because there's a lot of good fanfics out there that are getting DUST

guys, GUYS, we really need to start supporting the authors with books that aren't just canon plot recycle bullcrap.

You'll see "omG sTuCk iN nArUtO" with ONE MILLION READS and then "rin was a dark person who was working for root" with One hundred :/

PLEASE follow all these writers! Check out their books because they're AMAZING and ORIGINAL.

And SUPPORT OTHER AUTHORS.
