Once Obito was back on the battlefield, he decided to absorb the Jūbi in its entirety and sealed it into himself so he could become its Jinchūriki. That's not what he had planned in the first place, but beggars can't be choosers, right? (wink to Madara)

Naruto could sense his chakra as soon as his feet landed on the ground but he couldn't do anything to prevent him from absorbing Jūbi. He was too fast to absorb it.

"O.....O-Obito....." Naruto trailed off in shock as soon as he saw his new form.

Minato was as shocked as he was.

"Obito....."

Hashirama could see the distress in his eyes as he was staring at him. This reminded him of his own past story. His friendship with Madara as a child and how they had become rivals as time had passed. Well, they had always been enemies since they clans were at war and hated each other. And even after Konoha had been founded, he had been unable to stop his friend from becoming evil. And in the end, he had had no other choice than killing him.

He was somehow feeling guilty that this was still happening to his descendant.

Then the start of the fight between the former Hokage and Obito ensued. Anyway, the real Hashirama who had created several shadow clones to help him had no other choice than fighting against the real Madara at some point, leaving the other Hokage, Burto, Sasuke, and Namai to fight against Obito.

Naruto watched the former Hokage fight against him speechless. He really couldn't believe this was happening. Also, he couldn't sense Kakashi's chakra nor see him anywhere on the battlefield..... He shouldn't have let him face Obito all alone...He inferred that if he was nowhere to be seen, he was certainly still in Obito's dimension, but in what condition? 

"Obito!! Stop this!!" He shouted, hoping she would get his attention. 

He did since he looked at him.

His face was totally devoid of any emotion. Now he did look like a real monster. 

"This... This is not the real you!! The only real you is the one who wanted to become Hokage! I know that you're not evil and that you want peace too!"

"I do, but you just can't realize that your way to achieving it is the wrong one.  Just look at you Naruto-Senesi. You are ANBU captain now, but you are just ruining your life and forcing yourself to do a job that is useless. So your basically forcing yourself to do a job you don't like. The world hasn't changed since we're my Senesi. And even as the ANBU, you've lost many precious people, including your adoptive Uncle. You failed to protect them as you said you would. And you're just gonna end up like all the precious people you lost. Is it really the life you want?"

Everybody went silent as they seemed to be waiting for Naruto's response. 

"........ I may have lost some of my loved ones, but I won't have my life any other way, "Naruto responded determinedly.

Everyone seemed to be somehow surprised by his response. Expect for Orochimaru and Tsunade.

"And I'm not forcing myself to do a job which I don't like. I chose to do it and I am proud of doing it. Not only because this job has been my dream since I was a kid, but because I've always had the right people there for me at the right time."

Minato, Tobirama, Jugō, Namai, Sasuke, and Burto's gazes were all set on Naruto. 

Obito glared at him.

"You are really pathetic, Naruto. Can't you just realize that you've been failing all along? You're just a failure. You say you would protect the villages and the people you cared about but you fail.  You're even more of a failure then your father who is the hokage."

Naruto couldn't believe what he was hearing. This man, this thing... This is not the child he once trained along with Minato... No...

He clenched his fist and teeth tightly.

"Now stop with your nonsense and listen to me carefully! My great-grandfather died to protect this village. My great-granduncle died to protect this village. My great-grandmother sacrificed her life and chose to seal the Demon Fox inside her to protect the village. My grandparents died to protect this village. My whole clan sacrificed their lives to protect this village. And now, my own mother was ready to die to protect the village too. Also, my father would give up his life to protect the village because of the kind of hokage he wanted to be. And I am willing to die to protect not only this village but the whole world if I have to. Just know this... I won't let you make their sacrifices worthless!! I don't want anyone to think that they died in vain!! Because that's not true!!" Naruto snapped, shouting at him angrily. 

Everyone who was around was left speechless after he had just said that. 

Wow, my son really thinks. I'm a great Hokage and that was one great speech, Orochimaru thought to himself.

"And I may be a failure, but remember that you were a failure too once. And I'd rather be a failure than becoming heartless like you."

 But Obito remained unimpressed by his speech.

"Because you seriously think that you can defeat me now? Even Kakashi couldn't kill me when I was still in my normal form. And even if you sacrificed your life, you would do it in vain. That's what Minato-Sensei did in the past. You both failed to protect the ones you loved, and now it's too late."

By now, Burto's blood was boiling. He was having enough of hearing Obito say such things. 

"Don't badmouth Hokage just because you couldn't become one," he stated as a Rasengan was now whirling in his hand, frowning, "especially my Dad and Godaime-Snake Eyes who actually became Hokage!"

And afterward, Tobirama teleported him with his Flying Thunder God Technique, so he could hit Obito with his Rasengan. 

"Because you can't measure up to them!" he added right before hitting the Uchiha man. 

Naruto watched him, his eyes slightly widened as he did so. He couldn't help but think how this is the way the young Obito would have reacted. 

Speaking of him, his eyes widened even more and his mouth was now agape as he could see the young Obito instead of the current Burto. The Uchiha symbol on his back replacing the Uzumaki one. He blinked back the tears that were welling up in her eyes. 

"Burto....." he whispered wistfully. "At least you won't end up becoming like Obito."

Obito... Why... Why have you become like this... I...  I... Things were not supposed to turn out this way...

"Don't worry Golden-eye fox, let us deal with him. You've done enough."

Naruto was snapped back to reality with Burto's determined voice. 

He raised his head to stare at his cerulean eyes. 

"........"

After that, Burto activated Kurama's chakra mode before giving some of Fox's chakra to Naruto so it would shield him. Namai imitated him and gave some her Yin chakra to both Jugō and Sasuke. Then the real fight started. (it's the same as in the manga and anime of course, except that Namai is there.

Burto and Sasuke fought against him, helped by Namai, as well as Minato and Tobirama who used their respective Flying Thunder God Techniques while Jugō and Naruto were watching them. 

Naruto had never felt so useless in his life. And it was even worse a feeling since she was the son of two sannin. He was also nowhere near the level of the previous Hokage... And ancestors.

Still, if he couldn't help them fight, he could still do what he was good at doing, that heals people. He bit her thumb before summoning Katsuyu while Jugō was watching her. And afterward, numerous mini Katsuyu scattered on the battlefield to heal the shinobi that needed it. 

His mind then wandered to Kakashi. He really hoped he was fine. Because he would never forgive himself if something happened to him. 

Jugō seemed to notice that he was worried but he didn't say anything about it. 

Anyway, at some point, Obito used the Six Red Yang formation to trap the Shinobi alliance and destroy all of them. 

Naruto was sheerly panicking when he realized what Obito was about to do. Fortunately, Namai, Burto, and Minato managed to teleport the entire alliance just in time out of the Six Red Yang Formation by combining the Kyūbi's chakra which they had sealed into them. 

Naruto sighed in relief afterward.

"That was a close one...." he whispered to himself.

However, they were all far from being safe since some moments later, Obito decided to start the preliminary step before activating the infinite Tsukuyomi as he realized he wasn't really in a position of strength any longer. Naruto, Sasuke, and Namai had managed to weaken him by now, mostly thanks to Burto's Senjutsu.

The divine tree appeared and began sucking the chakra of shinobi who were attacked by its roots. Both Naruto and Namai were caught by their roots and couldn't get free of their grip. So both Tobirama and Naruto tried to free them but in vain. Fortunately, Hiruzen managed to free both of them thanks to Enma. 

"Old Man Third!" Burto exclaimed once his eyes landed on the man. "You saved us both!" 

Naruto sighed once again in relief. He then realized that many of the shinobi had been victims of the Divine Tree and were now seriously injured, so he summoned Katsuyu again to heal them with the help of his Strength of a Hundred Seal.

To his great relief, his uncle and the other Kage finally arrived on the battlefield. 

Naruto looked over to his brother and nephew.

"Naruto!" Tsunade said approaching him after healing Orochimaru and saving Shikamaru.

"Hey, okaasan!" He said almost forgetting that she arrived her with Otosan.

"Thank God, you're okay, Naruto," Tsunade then said, obviously relieved. 

Naruto nodded.

"Yes, but many shinobi are not," he pointed out. 

"Alright, Sakura! Let's help Naruto now."

"Hai!"

And with that, the two women and male were using their Strength of a Hundred Seal and Katsuyu to heal injured shinobi.

However, while Naruto was still healing shinobi, she couldn't help but think about Obito and how she had been useless. And then a sudden realization hit him. He needed to stop him before it was too late. And now that Sakura and her mother were there, they didn't need her help anymore. They were skilled enough to heal everyone perfectly. 

"Sakura, Kaa-Chan, I'll leave you to finish healing everyone," He stated solemnly after he stopped with his healing. 

Both Sakura and Tsunade stared at him somehow surprised. 

"They need me there."

Naruto then began walking away.

"Naruto! Wait!" His mother called after him. 

Naruto knew her mother was worrying for her, but the knew this was something he needed to do.

"Okaasan, I know what you think. But don't worry, I'm not alone. So please, let me go help them."

Of course, Tsunade was reluctant but Orochimaru came over and tried to reassure her and told her she should let Naruto go and that he knew what he was doing. 

So Tsunade had no other choice than letting him go.

 "Just be careful."

"I will. Thanks, Otosan," he said before joining Burto and Sasuke who was still fighting against Obito with Minato, Tobirama, and Jugō. 

By now the Shinobi alliance had decided to destroy the Divine Tree, and Namai was helping them. She decided to use a Tailed Beast Ball to do so. 

Meanwhile, Naruto approach where Obito was, ready to attack him, but the man appeared in front of him and clutched his throat forcefully with his free hand. And in the blink of an eye, Obito absorbed all of the Kyūbi's chakra that was shielding him. 

"Golden-eye fox!" Burto exclaimed.

"Naruto....!"

"O-Obito... I-I know why you are doing all this... I-I've finally understood..." he managed to utter.

But Obito was simply glaring at him.

"But what do you think Rin would think if she saw you...? She wanted you to become Hokage too...."

From where they were standing neither Burto nor Sasuke, nor anyone else could hear what he was saying.

"Sasuke, we have to help him!" Burto exclaimed meanwhile.

"I know!"

"I know you've always claimed to love her, but if you really loved her, never would you have done this. True love is the one that makes you a better person, without changing you into someone other than yourself." 

But next thing he knew, he was spitting out blood while crying in agony. 

" Otosan!" Obito Senju exclaimed.

"Obito! Let go of him!!" Minato shouted.

But of course, the said man didn't listen. 

Naruto was trying in vain to make him remove his hand from his throat. 

"Ku-Kushina once told me: you should never let anything forget who you are. And that's exactly what you are doing, Obito..."

Minato suddenly reminisced the time when Orochimaru had promised one day during training. That he would always watch over Naruto and protect him at all costs, even if it meant he had to give his life for the boy, assuring him that he wouldn't die like Nawaki and Dan, and the rest of his and Tsunade family. 

Even if he was dead, he could still do something to protect him now. 

Obito impaled him with his black receiver thing. 

Naruto became awfully pale as blood was trickling from the corners of her mouth. His eyes widened in realization.

Next thing he knew, he was flying into the air as he was struggling not to completely lose consciousness. 

Fortunately, Naruto Yashagoro caught him before he could hit the ground. He then landed on the ground and put him down. But Naruto was slowly drifting toward unconsciousness. He was ready to collapse but he caught her before he could.

"Oh!"

Naruto's throat was awfully dry and he was feeling all numb by now. 

Naruto Yashagoro was of course panicking. He could sense that he was about to die, and he had to act quickly if he didn't want that to happen. Orochimaru would certainly not appreciate it at all if he knew he had let him die without even trying to save him. But unlike his younger brother, he didn't know medical ninjutsu at all. And he knew his brother was still busy dealing with that tree trying to find a way to destroy it. And using one of his clones wouldn't be enough to save him. So he had to find someone that could heal him. He then remembered Orochimaru wife, Tsunade. The woman was the only one he knew that could try to save him. 

He took him to carry him on his back and without wasting any more time he went to find Tsunade so she could heal Naruto. (small A/N: Just know that by the time he was talking to Obito, his Strength of a Hundred Seal wasn't activated anymore).

Luckily, he found her before Naruto could take his last breath. 

"Tsunade!! I need you to heal him!" he demanded "He's about to die!" he exclaimed before laying
Naruto on the ground. 

Tsunade was totally horrified as saw her son in that awful condition. 

"Naruto..." she whispered in shock, in between shaky breaths.

Sakura was still with the woman and as shocked as she was. 

"Naruto-Sama!"

"What happened?" Sakura inquired. 

"It's that Uchiha's man doing. He impaled her," Naruto Yashagoro simply said.

Tsunade immediately started healing him but pretty soon the mere sight of all this blood coming from her son was making her freeze.

"Tsunade-Sama!"

"Hey! Now isn't the right time to fail! If you don't heal her properly, he'll die!" Naruto Yashagoro reminded her harshly.

The thing is that Naruto Yashagoro didn't know that his sister in- law suffered from hemophilia ever since she had failed to save her ex-lover in the war. ,(well he knew she freaked out during there showdown long ago but didn't know why).

"Tsunade-Sama, it's okay I will do it!" Sakura said to her.

"No, Sakura, it's okay. I can do it," Tsunade said finally getting a grip on herself. 

Orochimaru, I promise to save our son. So don't worry just deal with that tree.

With that being said, she started healing Naruto again with all her will and determination.

"Naruto, I won't let you die!"

Naruto Yashagoro watched her with a look of sympathy in his eyes. Tsunade was reminding him of his and Orochimaru own mother. She had been the best medical Kunoichi of the Yashagoro clan in her time, and ha been the one to teach medical Ninjutsu to his younger brother. Since Orochimaru always loved learning medical justu with mom. He remembered how she had always been ready to do anything to protect her sons, and all the pain she had felt after losing her daughter that was supposed to be born. And how she had died at some point for the sake of their clan. 

"Naruto! I beg you! Don't die! You cannot die! You're the ANBU captain for God's sake! The village needs a strong shinobi to help protect them! More importantly, your children need you!" 

Sakura was watching them with teary eyes. 

No, she didn't want Naruto to die either. They all needed him. He couldn't die now.

 Naruto was their guardian of the village right after the Hokage.

Even if the kids didn't know him as well as the grown-ups and his kids did. They all still see him as a guardian to the village.
