Obito POV

I was at home hanging out with my sister. After we finshed doing some training together. Until suddenly Otōsan came running into the house.

"What wrong Otōsan why you running?" Sato asked

"It's Asuma- sensei." Otōsan said panting.

"What about him?" I asked.

"He has been killed." Otōsan said.

I was completely shocked and started worrying about how Shikamaru was handling this.

"How did he die?" I asked.

"He was killed fighting the Akatsuki. " Otōsan replied.

Then we left to leave to go to Asuma-sensei ferunal. Everyone was there expect for Shikamaru and of Sauske because he doesn't care about anything except revenge.

After the ferunal was over I went to look for Shikamaru. To see how he was doing. I eventually found him sitting on all by himself on a small hill looking at the sunset. I frowned.

I slowly step behind and sat down next to him. I didn't say anything because I couldn't. "Why are you here?" He asked, his voice horse. I looked up at him. "I am not here to give you pity if that what your asking because I know you don't want that." I told him bluntly. His eyes widened and then he turned back towards the sunset.

We sat in a comfortable silence. He finally spoke. "I couldn't protect him. It wasn't enough. It's all my fault. All of it. Id I was stronger, I would of been able to protect him." He spoke softly.

I hugged him and he hugged back. He then began sobbing on my shoulder.
"It not your fault you are strong, and I do what I can to help you. I even help you get you revenge." I told stareing at him with a serious look.

He gave me an soft smile and hugged me. "Thank Obito your a great friend."

"Now come on he wouldn't want to see you like this. Now let's go we have a mission."

He chuckled and walked back. I grabbed his hand and pulled him faster. He just needed someone. Some comfort. Someone to tell him that everything will be ok.

"That's it I will always be there for people I care about. Even if it a jerk pants like Sauske. Then I will become the hokage. "
