Shino: The Bikochu Beetle.

Tsunade: The Bikochu beetle? You're talking about a rare incect right? I thought they died off ages ago.

Shino: When we notice that they were close to extinct, the Aburame clan immediately stop using them so that they may survive.

Shizune: Lady Tsunade, what are Bikochu?

Tsunade: To be honest, its not surprising that you don't know about them. They were used before the last great ninja war.

Tsunade explain that these species are one of the kind that the Aburame use to track enemies. No matter the fainted scents, they can track with their nose that are thousand times better then the ninja hounds.

Tsunade: However, they can only lay eggs once every several years.

Shino: Then its fortunate that this is the year they lay eggs along with the season to hatch.

Kiba: And I'm betting Sasuke stuffs were left behind in the village.

Hinata: If we use the Bikochu to track his sent...

Tsunade: We may be able to locate Sasuke whereabouts right?

Y/N: Along with Naruto stop babbling.

Tsunade: So what are the chances of finding one?

Shino: Frankly speaking, maybe about 10%.

At first Lady Tsunade thinking about giving them the mission but due to Kurenai been hospitalized they won't be able to. Fortunately she decided to take the risk for them finding one.

Tsunade: Team 8, your orders is to search for the Bikochu.

Team 8: Got it!

Tsunade: And as for you, you lousy little snake!

Tsunade throws a kunai at the ceiling where it breaks and revealing Naruto falling down on his back.

Tsunade: You'll go even if I try to stop you correct?

Naruto: Yup.

Tsunade: Alright then, but this is your last chance. If you fail then you are to give up on Sasuke! Are we clear?

Naruto: Grinn. Leave it to me!

Time skip

Y/N POV

Everyone is at the gate where Hinata came last.

Naruto: Hinata what took you so long?

Hinata: Sorry I'm late.

Y/N: Don't worry, we're all here now.

Naruto: Alright then, let's head out!

Naruto started to run while the rest of us are walking out of the village which got Naruto confused.

Naruto: Hey what's wrong, aren't we in a hurry!?

Shino: It'll take a shinobi two days on foot to reach the habitat of the beetle. So there's no need to make haste from right out of the gate.

Naruto: But what if the Egg hatch before we get there!?

Shino: The Bikochu eggs only hatch after the rain. There no sign of rain any time soon...

Naruto: OK but what if the rai-

Shino: Naruto. Face-to-face. I'm the leader of this team. While we're on this mission, you will follow my orders...

Naruto: Sweatdrop. Uh..

Shino continues to walk while Naruto glare at him.

Naruto: Kiba, Y/N, how did you guys even work with that kind of guy.

Y/N: For starters he's an expert on bugs.

Kiba: Well I've gotten use to it.

Hinata: I'm sure you'll bond with him soon Naruto.

Naruto: Scoffed. And I thought Y/N would be the leader.

Y/N: I'm actually second leader when it comes to non Jonin mission.

Naruto: Then why aren't you the first!?

Y/N: Its about trust obviously. Besides, if it was you, you'd just rush in without any plan. No offense.

Naruto: Hmph.

After a few hours, the sun started to set and we decided to set a camp for the night soon.

Shino: The suns coming down. We'll camp here for the night.

H,Y,K: Got it.

Naruto: What!? We're setting up camp already!? I'm not even close tired at all, let's just keep going further!

Shino: Naruto! I'm the leader of this team...

Naruto: Sweatdrops. Uh r-right...

Y/N: Tent is set.

Shino: OK, let's turn in for the night.

Naruto: Huh? We're going to sleep already!?

Shino: Many plants & animal will rise with the sun and sleep when it sets. So there's no need to rush.

Naruto: Yeah but the sun just set a few minutes ago!

Y/N: OK OK we get it Naruto, if you don't feel tired then you can take a first watch. Here just take some water.

Naruto: Fine!

I hand him a cup of water and drinks it as he sits down

Y/N: Also, you might need this.

I hand him a Teddy Bear which confuses him.

Naruto: wha? Why?

In an instant Naruto fell asleep.

Kiba: Well you look at that, he fell asleep fast.

Akamaru: Arf!

Y/N: Actually I just gave him water mix with sleeping draft I made.

Hinata: Why?

Y/N: Last thing we want is someone keeping us awake while we try to sleep.

Shino: Smart.

Time skip to the next morning

We continue to travel and Naruto still feeling tired.

Shino: Still tired after all that sleep?

Kiba: To me. Yeesh, even with sleeping draft he still tired.

Y/N: Well we can always knock him out with a rock.

Naruto: What was that?

Y/N: Nothin. Kiba n I chuckle

Naruto: well the thing is when I woke to to take a wiz last night I saw something amazing.

Hinata: Sneezes.

Y/N: You alright?

Hinata: Y-yes I'm fine.

Kiba: So, what was so amazing?

Naruto: It was a beautiful woman in the middle of the waterfall and every time she moved her arms the water would suddenly move along. I tell you, it was amazing!

Kiba and Naruto were discussing together and I saw Hinata... Blushing red?

Y/N: 'Wait...oh no...'

Flash back to team 8 training

3rd POV

They were helping hinata train by throwing kunais at her while she deflected them but shortly after they ran out.

Kiba: Looks like that's all we got...

Hinata: S-sorry, I didn't know we were short on kunais.

Shino: No worries, but we do gotta find a better solution for your training without destroying our kunais.

Kiba: I'm open for options here.

Y/N: Hmmm. look at the waterfall. Hey Hinata, maybe you could try the waterfall.

Akamaru: Arf?

Kiba: What do you mean?

Y/N: I use to use the waterfall for training by splitting it since the water goes directly towards me. Maybe hinata can try the waterfall too.

They all agree with the idea for the next training.

Flashback ends

Y/N stays quiet as they're traveling.

Y/N: 'This was a mistake... Least it wasn't Jiraya.'

Soon they found some fruit that are edible to eat, so they gather a few meals for today where Shino warned the team not to eat a human size fruit but unfortunately Naruto wasn't paying attention as he ate one which caused him stomach ache. The next morning, they finally made it to their destination.

Shino: We're here.

They all look ahead and saw the place.

Naruto: Wow, I've never seen anything like this before.

Kiba: This place doesn't look like where people can live.

Shino: You're right, that's why its a paradise for insects.

Naruto: Nervous. Wait you don't mean it right?

Shino: That was offended...

Y/N: Guess even nature can make a village for bugs.

Soon after they climb down to the bug paradise and though this is where the Bikochu is, there's still a small chance to find one. Just as they head to the giant tree, there were three unknown ninjas watching them from a distance tree.

???: There's no mistake, they are Leaf Shinobi.

???2: the fact that they came to a place like this, there's only one reason why they're here.

???3: Yeah the same reason we're here...the Bikochu.

???: We're not gonna let them before we do.

???3: The Bikochu belongs to The Kamizuru Clan.

As the team walk around they see many types of insect everywhere.

Naruto: Man there's so many insect around here.

Y/N: Shino did said this is bug paradise, but never thought there be this much.

Hinata: There's no chance we could get stung here is there?

Shino: Almost none of these insect will cause any harm to humans but just in case, I brought some Aburame clan secret recipe insect repellant though I'd rather not use it since it will also repel the Bikochu.

Naruto: Stern. Great then what's the point bringing it?

Y/N: Nah you just gotta be one step ahead. So what does the Bikochu look like shino?

Shino: Takes out a picture. This is the female we're looking for. Remember it while you look for one.

H,Y,K: OK/Got it/No problem.

Naruto: See the picture. Hey I've seen one before.

Kiba: Surprise. You've seen it?

Hinata: Surprise. Where did you see one Naruto?

Y/N: We've must've pass one without noticing it.

Naruto: No actually I saw one back home when every time I leave my food. There were a lot. So those things should be easy to find.

Y/N: Wait what?

Kiba: Hey...

Hinata: Um Naruto...

Shino: No those were just cockroaches.

Naruto: Eh cockroaches?

Shino: Shows him the picture. They're not the same.

Kiba: Come on they're complete different.

Y/N: You can literally tell it by its nose...

Naruto: I don't know, they look the same to me.-

Team 8: WELL THEY'RE NOT!

Meanwhile somewhere around the Kamizuru members were still hidden as they overheard their conversation.

Suzumibachi: Just as I thought, that kid with the sun glasses is definitely a member of the Aburame clan. But no matter who stands in our way, we must get that Bikochu. Although...this might be a good fortune.

Kurobachi: What do you mean?

Suzumibachi: Think about it, its been ten days since we came here and we haven't even found any trace on that bug. But if they can catch one, we'll take it away from them. Smirk.

Back with the team, they split up to find one. Shino uses his insect, Akamaru snuff any traces for Kiba, hinata uses her byakugan, Y/N uses his seismic senses. One by one they notice that they're no alone and they regroup at the tree for a break.

Hinata: Shino! Kiba! Y/N!

Kiba: Hinata, did you see them too?

Hinata: Oh you did know too?

Y/N: Yeah, there's only three of them.

Shino: They can't know we're aware of them.

Kiba: unfortunate for them, this team are specialist to detect hidden enemies. So what should we do Shino?

Shino: If we end up fighting, the insect will get hurt in the middle. Including the Bikochu. As long as they don't make a move, let's be vigilant.

Y/N: Think they're after it too?

Shino: There's no doubt about it.

Hinata: I wonder if Naruto notice it too.

Kiba: He'd be screaming by now if he did.

Y/N: I say we keep it that way until they show up.

Shino: Agree.-

Naruto: Shouting. Hey everyone! I found one! I found one! A Bikochu!

Team 8: Huh!?

Kamizuru team: He found one already!?

Kiba: Wait wait wait are you positive? Cuz last time-

Shino: Let me see it.

Naruto: hehehe, this is it right?

Naruto shows them the bug but it was just a beetle.

Naruto: Smiles. See? Its exactly like the photo. Haha!

Shino: Shows him the picture. Does it look the same to you? The one you have is a Goliath beetle...

Naruto: Uh...Huh!? Its not the same thing!?

Y/N angrily kick naruto which surprises everyone.

Y/N: NO ITS NOT DUMBASS!!

Hinata: Naruto!

Kiba: Why'd you kick him!?

Y/N: I don't know! He caught me by surprise!

Shino: Shook his head. This is gonna be a long day...

Time skip to the next morning.

They made haste to find the Bikochu due to the upcoming rain. From what Shino knows, the beetle only lay eggs when it rains and by morning it'll become a fully ground insect. In other words, time is racing them. They spread out and find the Bikochu as quick as they can but soon the clouds started to approach. As for the Kamizuru Clan, they still wait for them to find one. Just then it started to rain.

Y/N: 'Damit, we're too late! Can't use seismic senses at this rain. Hope Hinata's using her byakugan with the rain.'

Just then Naruto caught one can calls the others. Shino confirms its the Bikochu and uses bug box to keep the Bikochu.

Naruto: Yes! I did it!

Kiba: Huh, I didn't think you can pull it out Naruto.

Y/N: Now we can track Sasuke easily.

Naruto: Smiles. It was thanks to Hinata!

Naruto hugs Hinata as she started to blushing red. Hinata then left to wash her face but then Akamaru started to bark at the Bikochu.

Kiba: Akamaru what's the matter?

Suddenly the Bikochu lays an egg in the box.

Y/N: Alright! Its an egg!

Naruto: Really!?

Shino: A new beetle will emerge by tomorrow.

Naruto: And then it can trace Sasuke sent right!?

Shino: Don't put your hopes up. We're still not out of the woods.

Y/N: Was that an insult?...

Back with the Kamizuru Clan, they discover that the team has found the Bikochu egg.

Suzumibachi: Smirk. It looks like they finally found one.

Jibachi: Then its time.

Kurobachi: Yeah, let's go.

Time skip

Y/N POV

We were wrapping things up as we wait for Hinata before we leave. Though I'm still doubting that Sasuke wants to come back after what we went through against the sound ninjas. As far as I know, he's obsessed about avenging his clan.

Kiba: That's odd, I thought for sure that they would make their move by now.

Y/N: Maybe they gave up.

Shino: There's a possibility that we've overlook something.

Kiba: Hey Naruto. Have you seen Hinata?

Naruto: She said she went to go wash her face. But it's been a while, wonder what's taking her so long.

Y/N: Shino, you don't think-

Shino: Oh no!

Naruto: What's up?

Kiba: Naruto down!

Kiba pushes naruto away as out of nowhere a kunai hit the tree next to them along with a note attached to it.

Y/N: Pull the kunai out. There's a note.

Shino: Let me see.

I handed him the note and he opens it and read.

"We're holding the Kunoichi brat hostage. If you want her back alive then you will trade her for the Bikochu. Come to the top of the easter hill later tonight."

Kiba: Darn it! I knew they'd make a move!

Y/N: Great, one problem after another!?

Naruto: Hinata...

Shino: We need to find her before midnight.

Y/N: Wait guys, take a look.

I saw a sticky orange slime attached to the note and take a closer look.

Y/N: Looks like....honey bees??

Shino: Honey bees? Oh no...

Kiba: What? What is it?

Naruto: Yeah what gives?

Shino: It must be the Kamizuru Clan....
