3rd POV

They group went to the forest as they jump from one branch to another with Shikamaru single-file formation

Kiba & Akamaru are in front since they can sniff out any traps while Neji is behind to check their back with his byakugan and the rest checking our surrounding. A while back Kiba found out that Sasuke has about five escort but two of them had a fight with the jonin recently but Shikamaru still decides to pursue Sasuke.

Shikamaru: There's a good chance that they'll be on guard and there'll be any trap or an ambush up ahead. So from this point on, we proceed with caution. I want everybody not just Akamaru, to put all your senses on full alert. If you catch a trace of any suspicious, warn us. We want find them before they find us.

Naruto: Got it! When we find them I'm gonna use my new jutsu to clobber them!-

Shikamaru: Everyone stop!

They all stop at the same branch as Shikamaru looks above

Shikamaru: Take a look up there.

They all saw a paper bomb planted on a tree.

Y/N: A paper bomb? We can just avoid it.

Neji: Wait theres five more in places too. It must be a perimeter barrier.

Choji: A perimeter barrier?

Shikamaru: Its a type of trap ninjutsu. When someone enters and reach the center the traps will set off. Its a advance jutsu, I learned about it in one of the books my dad made me read.

Y/N: Guess that paid off.

Kiba: Damit! Now we gotta waste time going around it.

Y/N: Can't we just disable it to go through?

Shikamaru: Even if we can, we'll have to do it all at the same time. Besides, we don't know how big the perimeter barrier is. We got no choice, let's go around.

After they went around it they spotted wires that may be traps but luckily they spotted them easily and avoid those. Fortunately Y/N and Shikamaru realized that the set a trap underneath the trap before stopping Naruto with his shadow jutsu in a nick of time.

Shikamaru: I get it, one wire is visible because it reflects the light and the other camouflaged. While you avoid the first you might accidentally trip the second.

Y/N: In other words, it'll fool anyone who doesn't have a sharp eyes. Creating a trap underneath a trap.

Neji: Who ever they are, they're clever. They may have stopped to rest. Either they're injured or this could be a trap...byakugan!

Neji sees 4 ninjas ahead with some sort of coffin and they're appear to be recovering.

Neji: I see them!

Naruto: Well let's go! I'm gonna show them what I got!

Kiba: Hate to tell you Naruto but I'm gonna demonstrate my new jutsu right here!

Choji: Yeah me too!

Y/N: Boys boys, I think we can all agree that I'll be the first to show my new jutsu.

Naruto/Kiba/Choji: No you're not!

Y/N: Depressed. What's the point of this...

Shikamaru: Don't be so hasty everyone. As soon as we make a plan, we'll nail these bastards to the ground.

Short times skip.

After going through the plan they split up in two team to surround the ninjas. Little did they know that one of them was aware of it. Just then, Sakon threw the paper bomb near at Shikamaru and Neji to jump out.

Shikamaru: Woah woah wait a minute! We didn't come here to fight, we just came here to negotiate!

Kidomaru: Oh really? Then what are they!?

In an instant, he pulled his webs that are attached to the rest of the team ankle but Kiba manage to throw a smoke bomb in front of them. This distracted the sound ninja giving Shikamaru to use his shadow possession jutsu at them.

Sakon: Very impressive, but I have this kind of ability too...

This confused Y/N until he notice the shurikens from behind and immediately pushes Shikamaru away as one hits Y/N arm. Unfortunately Shikamaru lost his concentration of his jutsu. Without hesitation, Jirobo uses Earth dome prison to trap the squad inside.

Y/N POV

We let our guard down and this is what we got. If only I knew it sooner before it was too late. I took off the shuriken and just patched it up. Luckily its just a flesh wound.

Shikamaru: Terrific...

Neji: What is this?

Shikamaru: Its a barrier of some kind and we're stuck in it.

Naruto: Hey! Let us out!

Kiba: Yeah like that's gonna work.

Y/N: This is just a dirt wall jutsu.

Kiba: Scoff. A wall's a wall, we're just gonna have to tear it all apart.

Y/N: Unsheathe my sword. Agree.

Shikamaru: Yeah its worth a shot. Risky but better than staying in here.

Kiba: Got it. Y/N, slash the dome once I weaken it enough. It'll be a lot easy that way.

Y/N: Nods. Lead the way.

Kiba: Growls. Tunneling Fang!

Y/N: Water style: Rising waterfall jutsu!

Kiba weakens the wall with his tunneling fang and as soon as he jump out I slash the wall upwards but then the wall just restores itself like it nothing happened. This caught some of us surprised.

Y/N: What the hell!?

Kiba: Did you guys see that!?

Neji: Yes, we saw it.

Naruto: Aaaargh let us out!

Y/N: Kiba, I'm gonna try it again.

Kiba: Right.

Y/N: Water style: Waterfall blade!-

Suddenly it didn't work as it shocked me due to failing to cut it.

Choji: Hey what just happened!?

Y/N: I don't know but I feel like my chakra is drained or something. I wasn't even using much.

Neji: it appears to be more than just a dirt wall. Byakugan!...th-the walls is...

Shikamaru: What is it? The wall is what?

We all saw Neji look at his hand before telling us.

Neji: Our chakra's getting sucked up like a sponge!

Kiba: Darn! I didn't expect that they'd just keep us in here while our chakra is getting sucked up.

Naruto: Now way! Shouting. Let us out of here already!

Short time skip.

One by one we sat down as our chakra is getting drain. Kiba had it and gives a food pill to Akamaru before trying to destroy the wall. We all watched it but then it fails once again.

Y/N: Damit, even with my wood style can't be enough.

Neji: Wood style?

Y/N: Long story. Short version, keep it between us. I'll explain it once this whole mission is over.

Neji nods and then Shikamaru tries to negotiate Jirobo that they'll have Sasuke in exchange of leaving us or at least letting him go. Even though Jirobo decline, this in rage some of us.

Naruto: That's it Shikamaru you traitor! Let's take this outside!

Kiba: What do you mean take this outside you idiot!?

Naruto: What'd you call me!?

Choji: Enough! Everybody shut up!

Naruto: Surprise. Choji?

Y/N: He's right. This isn't gonna get us anywhere if we're gonna keep fighting. To Shikamaru. You got got a plan right?

Shikamaru: Smirk. Yeah...

Short time skip.

Shikamaru: Its up to you Choji.

Choji: Ok! Human boulder!

Choji uses his human boulder to break the dome and freeing us out.

Jirobo: What!?

Shikamaru: He's by himself, guess the others went up ahead.

Neji: Can't see them around.

Kiba: Now that we're out you're toast pal!

Naruto: Out of the way! This guy is mine!

I throw a smoke bomb between them and pull them out as we all hide at the bushes.

Naruto: Why'd you pull us out!?

Kiba: Yeah we had him!

Y/N: we're low on chakra and we'll be wasting time if we all goes against him.

Neji: And every second we waste, they're one step ahead to cross the boarders.

Kiba: So now what?

Shikamaru: Sigh. I hate to say it, but we'll have to split up. Y/N, you and I-

Choji: I'll handle him!

Y/N: What?

Shikamaru: But Choji-

Choji: He's mine, I'll do it!

Choji hand Shikamaru a small bag of food pill for all of us.

Choji: take this and give it to everybody.

Shikamaru: Choji... You're not gonna...

Choji: Smiles. Don't worry I got my secret weapon with me. Now get going!

Shikamaru: ....Nods. You better catch up then.

Choji nods as he takes out a small box for 3 food pill. Each are different color and as soon as he take the green one he holds Jirobo off giving us time to escape. After being far enough from the fight, Shikamaru toss the bag at us and we each take one and eat it.

Naruto: We owe you one Choji.

Y/N: Shikamaru, you sure Choji can handle it on his own?

Neji: That pill he took earlier, it seemed like some sort of trump card. Does he have a chance to win?

Kiba: He did said he has some sort of secret weapon with him

Shikamaru: don't worry, he brought the Akamichi clan's ultimate secret pills. There are three of them, green, yellow, and red. If you take one you gain explosive powers and each contain enormous energy. But the pills like those will come to a side effect.

Y/N: That's one of the things I'm worried about...

Naruto: What do you mean?

Y/N: If that big guy hold us off while the rest went ahead, I'm betting they'll do the same no matter the risk.

Shikamaru: If they're planning to do that, then one of us will have to deal with one of them each.

Y/N: Then we'll have to be ready. I only hope we make it out alive.

Time skip

One by one, we each fought one of them each. Neji is fighting Kidomaru, Kiba and Akamaru is fighting Sakon, Shikamaru fighting Tayuya, and Naruto and I are fighting Kimimaro who's between us and Sasuke. Naruto uses his multi shadow clone jutsu while I try to use my wood style but no matter how close we got, he's too fast and uses his own bones as his weapons. Just then he took out his right arm bones and uses it as a sword.

Kimimaro: This is not just ordinary bone. Its the highest density bone that's hard as steel.

Naruto: Growl. So what? I'll break that bone!

Kimimaro: Don't think you know my strength after this match. I have five dances of my combat. The next one is the Camellia dance.

Y/N: Water style: water trumpet jutsu!

I shoot water at him but he was too fast and rushes towards me and Naruto pushes me away as he to a hit. Thankfully it was a shadow clone but a last one. Just then the coffin started to shake.

Kimimaro: Its come at last, the moment I've been waiting for...the first step for lord Orochimaru ambition...

The coffin exploded where theres a cloud of smoke, once it was gone it revealed Sasuke who's alive. Nothing happened, he was just quiet until Naruto was relieved to see him alive.

Naruto: Smiles. Hey Sasuke, what're you doing with these losers for? Come on let's go home!

Y/N: Naruto, something doesn't look right.

Naruto: What are you talking about? He looks fine.

Suddenly Sasuke started to laugh which confused us both.

Naruto: Sasuke? Hey uh let's go home. Everyone's waiting for ya. Talk to me!

Kimimaro: Its no use...

Just then he ran away and Naruto goes after him and Kimimaro was about to stop him with his bone sword I immediately block his attack and push him back.

Naruto: Y/N?

Y/N: Go after him, bone face is mine.

Naruto: You kidding me!? He's too strong and fast for both of us!

Y/N: I'll put that in a test. Now go!

Naruto nods and goes after Sasuke.

Kimimaro: I don't think so. Die!

Kimimaro was about to kill Naruto but I block his attack once again.

Y/N: You're fight is with me.

Kimimaro: Ah I see now, putting your life before others is pointless.

Y/N: It'll already be if I did nothing.

Kimimaro charges right towards me as I ready my sword. Soon we started to clash our blade n bone.

He's fast I'll give him that, but I'll have to focus on defense. Just when he was about to swift low at my legs I jump and immediately kick his head once but just when I was about to kick twice he vanish and reappears from behind.

I didn't have enough time to block with my sword so I did the most stupidest move ever. I blocked it with my wrist, out of luck his bone sword didn't had edge blade. Its just pointy. Even so, my wrist took the impact but it was strong enough which felt like I broke my bone so I jump back from distance and I can rarely grip my right hand

Kimimaro: Impressive, but even you did blocked it. You broke you right arm. Camellia dance!

Just when he was about charge me I immediately make hand sign before hitting the ground.

Y/N: Wood style: Silent strangle jutsu!

Wood started to appear from underneath and strangle him but he immediately destroys it since it was weak due to my chakra. He charges at me and I try to block it but he manage to wound me a lot.

Y/N: 'Damit, not enough chakra!'

Just when he was about to finish me off out of nowhere, Lee appear and kicks him out where it took me completely surprise.

Y/N: Lee!?

Lee: Sorry I'm late. Got here fast as I can.

Y/N: 'Either that or you lost your direction.' What about your injuries?

Lee: Do not worry about me Y/N. I can take care of this here. You're probably exhausted by now.

Y/N: I just need time to regain my chakra. But are you sure you can handle this?

Lee: I will. Just focus on restoring your chakra.

Y/N: 8 minutes. Its all I need to get back. Be careful, this guy is strong and uses his bones as weapons.

Lee: Bones? Leave it to me.

I nod before I lay down to regain my chakra.

3rd POV

Kimimaro took this opportunity to kill Y/N but Lee was fast and block Kimimaro from killing him.

Lee: Glares. I dislike being ignored. You don't have time to be distracted!

Lee immediately kick Kimimaro shoulder which was a good kick.

Lee: 'Yes, my body is ready to fight!'

Time skip

Lee manage to buy much time as possible but it was not enough. Everyone was having a hard time until out of nowhere, the sand protected Lee. Revealing Gaara of the sand. The rest of his team are aiding the others. The battle continues but with the sand ninjas, the tides are turn. After a 15 minutes of battle, kimimaro is on his ultimate form and ripped his spine out to use it as a whip.

Kimimaro: Now I'll use my final dance, the Clematis dance. First the vine. Aargh!

Kimimaro whip his spine around Gaara to pin him but the sand protected him.

Kimimaro: Then the flower. This is my strongest bone.

Just as he turn his arm into a huge and stronger bone lance, his spine was cut by Y/N which surprises everyone but little for Gaara.

Lee: Y/N?

Y/N POV

Y/N: Thanks for buying me time Lee. You too Gaara. But its my turn.

Gaara: You shouldn't push yourself. I can handle this...

Y/N: Place my hand on his shoulder and smiles. As a swordsman, it'll be a shame for not fighting while others are. I'll manage.

Gaara didn't say anything but he nodded as he steps back. Lee was about to stop me but Gaara stops him.

Kimimaro: So you still want to fight? My final attack will finish right through you and your arm isn't in good condition.

Y/N: Points my sword at him. No...I'm gonna finish this. Right here right now. Your bones are stronger than steel and you're fast I'll give you that.

Y/N: Only difference is that you took power which your body hasn't build up with and I know I didn't spent my time training for nothing.

I sheath my sword and prepares to draw my sword as I close my eyes and imagine the ocean raging around me.

Y/N: Water style:...Calming water blade jutsu...

Lee saw me doing nothing but prepare for a final attack.

Lee: 'That jutsu...'

Suddenly Kimimaro charges with his final attack.

Kimimaro: Now die!

In a flash, we were both facing a different direction.

Lee: Did he do it?

Gaara: ...

I slowly sheath my sword back and as soon as it closed, Kimimaro bone lance shattered and leaving a huge cut his back and he fell down coughing blood.

Lee: He did it!

Y/N: 'Damit, I reached my limit...'

My body goes limp as I fell down and everything faded to black.
