3rd POV

Its been 3 weeks since Tsunade became the 5th Hokage along with starting with Y/N medical training. So far he's been going on mission but sometime on their own since most of the Jonin including Kurenai, Asuma, Kakashi, and Guy sensei are on other missions. Thankfully team 8 manage on our own, Shino is the leader of team 8 due to his intelligent where as Y/N the second leader if splitting up is necessary. Is not that he want to be the leader, its more about trusting each other. Beside that, Y/N getting better with healing jutsu along with other trainings. Like the last mission at the land of tea. He had to join with team 7 since healing jutsu is useful for this, it was tough but they made it through thanks to naruto. Right now, Y/N is training with Lilith with sword training at the forest.

Lilith: Come on Y/N, keep your eyes open for any attack and deflect them with your sword. Don't forget about using your water jutsu with your sword.

Y/N: Got it!

He keep an eye out of his surrounding from any attack. Just then the ground started to shake and spike of stone appear in front of me, he manage to dodge it at the brink of second but then multiple kunais were thrown towards him as he made hand sign.

Y/N: Water style: water trumpet jutsu!

He blow water at the kunais to block and dodges a log came from behind as he slash the other log with his sword combined with water chakra. Slicing it clean. Few more minutes, he was exhausted after using up all his chakra as Lilith and Tenten approaches him.

Lilith: Looks like you're getting better now. Including you too Tenten.

Tenten: Smiles. Thanks for inviting me to train with Y/N.

Y/N: Normally I'd train with my team but Lilith wanted to help me train with my sword. Sorry about most of your weapons by the way Tenten. They're probably be either broken or missing around here.

Tenten: No worries. Check this out.

Tenten pulls the strings that are attached to the weapons to get them back. Similar from before like Tenten vs Tamari.

Y/N: Oh yeah I remember that trick before.

Tenten: What, did you think I would just go and find all the weapon laying on the ground?

Y/N: Fair. How bout we call it a day from training? I used up most of my chakra. Ichiraku ramen is on me.

Lilith: Sorry, I gotta go on a mission after this. You two can go on, like a date. Wink.

Tenten/ Y/N: Blushes. W-w-what!?

Tenten: I uh I gotta go help my dad at the shop!

Y/N: Oh no, I um forgot to uh water the plants, maybe later Tenten!

Tenten/ Y/N: Bye!

We both ran separately while Lilith laughs.

Lilith: Oh kids these days. Sigh. 'Reminds me of you two back when we were kids.'

Y/N POV

I was heading home by leaping at a roof after another since its more fun.

Y/N: 'Man why does Lilith had to bring that up, its not like we're actually going on a date. Huh, I wonder how's Naruto doing-'

Suddenly I saw fire on a rooftop of the hospital and I immediately head there fast.

Y/N: What the hell!? Is there some kind of attack?

Just as I got closer, I saw Sasuke at midair and uses his chidori and Naruto at the rooftop using some kind of chakra ball. But then they both charge at each other and Sakura runs to stop them. If she gets between them, she'll die!

Sasuke: Chidori!

Naruto: Rasengan!

Sakura: Stop it!

Y/N: Water style: Water trumpet jutsu!

I release water aiming at sakura to push her back where she accidentally hit the wall. Just then Kakashi show up and grab their wrists and throw them apart where they accidentally hit the water tank each.

Kakashi: 'Naruto, was that what I think it was?' What're you two doing up here? A little too far for a sparring match.

Y/N: Here I thought there was a fire going on here. Good thing we both got here on time.

Kakashi: Thanks for the help.

Kakashi went to talk with Sasuke, reminding him about the chidori wasn't meant for his team while I check on Sakura that she's fine yet worried about Sasuke. Sasuke left as I check on Naruto but I notice behind water tank he hit had a huge hole which took me by surprised.

Y/N: 'That jutsu...since when can it be that strong?' Looks at Sasuke. 'Why would Sasuke try to kill Naruto with the chidori? Don't tell me it had something to do with the last mission.'

Flashback to the previous mission.

A rain ninja was blocking the bridge for the runner while Naruto was down due to the needle he had on his knees where me and Sasuke were getting ready to fight him. But Sasuke rush in with his chidori at him but failed due to the ninja using the blade of the thunder spirit.

Rain ninja: hmph, so the rumors were true. The last member of uchiha is just a good-for-nothing kid. Not worthy for his family name.

This in rage Sasuke more and he uses his chidori again but ends up the same as before. Soon he was knocked out by the thunder blade.

Flash back end.

Kakashi went to Sakura to tell her not to worry and things will get better soon in a comfort way.

Kakashi: To Y/N. Hey Y/N, I might need your help for a bit.

Y/N: Huh, why?

Kakashi: I'll explain on the way. Come on.

I nodded as I follow him to where Sasuke went.

Y/N: We're going after Sasuke?

Kakashi: Well normally I'd do it on my own but its just to take precocious. We may need your wood release if necessary.

Kakashi took me by surprised that he knows about my wood release. I was about to say something but he interrupts me.

Kakashi: Don't worry, Lilith told me about it long time ago. I won't tell anyone.

I nodded as we head to where Sasuke is.

3rd POV

Sasuke was sitting on a large tree branch, still angry about how Naruto was on step ahead as he grips his fist.

Sasuke: 'What have I been doing, up until now!?'

His thoughts were interrupted by a wood appearing from the tree and it strangles him to stay where he it. He tries to struggle until he saw Kakashi sensei and Y/N in front of him.

Sasuke: Growl. What's this all about? And why are you here too!?

Y/N: Sigh. I don't wish to be here much as you do. But this is necessary.

Sasuke: Why you-

Kakashi: Sorry but I knew you wouldn't wanna sit still for a lecture so I figured I needed a little help to pin you down.

Kakashi talks with Sasuke to let go of the hatred and revenge he has on the past. Meanwhile Y/N looks back and thought he saw someone somewhere at the roof but there was nobody. Kakashi notice it and looks around.

Kakashi: Something wrong?

Y/N: Nah, I thought I saw someone but its nothing. Why don't I leave, this is between you two.

Kakashi: Alright, thanks for the help.

Y/N nodded and he left them. Meanwhile there was a group of ninja that were hiding on the rooftop.

???: That was a close call. Another minute and we'd be expose.

???2: We could've taken that kid out easily, he doesn't look that tough.

???3: And give away our position easily? Jeez no wonder you don't have a boyfriend, you just rush thing without thinking.

???2: Shut it fatso!

???4: Alright enough, we're here on order by lord Orochimaru to come here for Sasuke remember. So let's wait until nightfall.

They all nod and wait until nightfall.

Time skip to the next morning.

Y/N POV

I woke up early around 6 am as I yawn and made cereal for breakfast. Suddenly I hear a knock on my door.

Y/N: Huh? 'Who'd be here so early right now?'

I head to the door with my cereal and open it, revealing Shikamaru wearing a chunin vest. From what I remember, aunt Tsunade made him a chunin ninja. If he's here right now then something is up.

Y/N: Let me guess, you need a extra hand for a mission right? Only question is what mission is exactly.

Shikamaru: Its about Sasuke, he left the village and probably heading to Orochimaru.

Y/N: ....

I close the door which make him surprised.

Shikamaru: Shocking. Hey hey look I know we both don't like Sasuke that much, but we have no choice but to go after him!

Y/N: Not my problem.

Shikamaru: Neither its mine so-

In a second I open the door again with my ninja clothes on and ready to go.

Y/N: But its definitely gonna be the whole village problem so count me in.

Shikamaru: You had to take me by surprised huh? What a drag.

Y/N: Got someone else to tag along?

Shikamaru: Yeah, we're gonna need any help we can get.

Y/N: Alright, this will go fast if we split up. And I'm sure you know who I'm thinking right?

Shikamaru: Smirk. Yeah, meet us at the gate in 30 minutes. Let's go.

Shikamaru and I split up go get any help, luckily I know someone who can help. I arrive at Inuzuka estate and knock the door. Soon the door open revealing Akamaru jumping on me which made me chuckle.

Akamaru: Arf arf!

Y/N: Chuckles. OK OK you got me Akamaru.

Kiba: Chuckles. Well that's Akamaru when you interrupted his breakfast. Heheh. So what's up?

Y/N: Get change, we're heading on a mission which may be serious. I'll explain on the way.

Kiba nods as he head back to get change. After that, we head for another person to recruit.

Short time skip

Kiba and I found Neji with Lee at the stairs and I explain that we may need Neji help. Unfortunately for Lee, he's still not in a good condition for a mission. Neji agree as Lee understands, we then head to the gate with the rest of the team. Shikamaru, Naruto, and Choji.

Shikamaru: Good, you brought Kiba and Neji for the mission.

Y/N: I could've look for more help but we're short on time.

Shikamaru: This'll do.

Naruto: Alright! Everyone follow me!

Everyone:.....

Shikamaru: Um hey Naruto...I'm the squad leader. I know its a drag but...

Naruto: Glance. You really think you're the best person for leading the squad? You don't seem very reliable to me...

Y/N: Naruto when's was the last time you ever made a plan without risking the squad?

Naruto: Uh...

Kiba: What's up with you acting like a boss Naruto? I mean taking orders by somebody lazy as Shikamaru doesn't exactly thrilled me either but still.

Akamaru: Arf!

Choji: But none of you get to decide who's the leader here. Because Shikamaru is the only on that's a chunin, that means the elders of the village clearly believe he got what it takes to call the shots on this one

Neji: If that's the case then come up with some sort of plan. From what I heard Sasuke gone to the enemy and there's a chance they could ambush us.

Shikamaru: for starters this is a rescue mission. Which means, the enemy has already have the advantage. Therefore I'll decide on a deployment formation. If any of you don't follow my orders and go on your own we all die.

I fold my arms while Shikamaru explains our single file formation.

Time skip through explanation

After Shikamaru explain our formation he also adds up that he and Sasuke aren't exactly good friends but he's a comrade of the leaf village.

Kiba: Wow...never thought you'd act like a chunin.

Y/N: To be honest I might've done the same. But I'll cut to the point.

Everyone: Huh?

Y/N: If Sasuke really went to Orochimaru at his free will. He might become a threat to the village.

Naruto: What are you talking about!? That won't happen!

Y/N: Even so, we must prepare ourselves. I only hope that I'm wrong...

Neji: OK, as soon as we check our gear we'll go. Show me your weapons.

We all show our gears to each other and thankfully Choji didn't just bring chips. Before we were about to go, Sakura stopped us. Even though she did her best to convince him, Shikamaru didn't allow her to come. Our only option is to find and force him back. But all she ask that to bring Sasuke back Naruto understand her feelings and made her a promise that he'll bring Sasuke back as he gave her a thumbs up.

Y/N: 'This ain't gonna be easy for him to keep. Chuckles. But he ain't gonna give up so easily.'

Naruto: Alright then, let's get going!

Shikamaru: We've wasted enough time so let's hurry.

We all nodded and head out. I'm not gonna lie but whether we like it or not.....we're heading straight to hell...its about time....
