Its been 3 days since I completed my training before the final competition and today's the day. I don't know how are the other competitive are including Naruto but one thing for sure, I'm ready. Shikamaru, Neji, Shino, me, and the sand team are the final competition arena while there's lot of people including the kazekage are at the viewpoint.

Y/N: Deep breath. Today's the day.

Just as I look around I notice Naruto isn't here especially Sasuke.

Y/N: Any of you guys seen Naruto or Sasuke today?

Shikamaru: Haven't seen Naruto since yesterday.

Shino: Shook his head. No.

Y/N: The competition is about to start, at this point we might get started without them-

Suddenly we heard a stampeed as we saw naruto made an entrance by crashing by.

Shikamaru: He sure knows how to make an entrance. That idiot.

Y/N: Least he made it on time.

The 3 of us nod as shikamaru and I help him up.

Hiruzen: Welcome all to the village hidden in leaves chunin exam this year. We will now being the final competitors between the 10 candidates who made it through the preliminaries. Now everyone enjoy!

Y/N: Mutter. He says 10 yet Sasuke ain't here including that mummy guy.

Naruto: So what'll happen if Sasuke hasn't show up?

Genma: If the competitor is not here by the time his name is called, then he forfeit the match.

After going through the explanation about the rules, it'll be the same as before.

Genma: So the first match will be Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuga. Those two stay and the rest of you head to the waiting room.

Everyone except Naruto and Neji head to the waiting room but before I go, I place my hand on naruto shoulder.

Y/N: Grinn. Give him hell Naruto for Hinata.

Naruto: Smirk. Planning on it.

I head to the waiting room with the others. I do hope Sasuke will make it here on time. He may be annoying but he's definitely not a coward who walks away from a fight. Now may not be the time, just gotta focus on my fight when the time comes.

Shikamaru: Think Naruto will stand a chance against Neji?

Shino: I don't know, each of us did train hard in a month. But you saw how good was Neji before.

Y/N: There's no doubt about.

Shino & Shikamaru: Huh?

Y/N: Naruto may have a long road ahead but if there's one thing I know, is that he never gives up. No matter the odds.

About a half hour of the match. Naruto manage to distract and punches Neji from underneath. He definitely used his clone as a bait and waited for his chance even if his hands hurt while digging a hole. The crowd cheers as they saw the victory of the match.

Naruto Uzumaki vs Neji Hyuga: Naruto wins

Shikamaru: Naruto defeated Neji? Oh man I can't believe it, and I though he was the same as me, one of the dulky cool guy.

Shino: Looks like you were right all along.

Y/N: Smirk. Yup. Now pay up- ow!

Shikamaru: Hits Y/N. WE DIDN'T EVEN MAKE A BET!

Y/N: Depressed. Sorry....

Shino shook his head as Naruto joins the waiting room with us while we wait for the next match which is Sasuke vs Gaara. Unfortunately they had to skip their match to the next match. But at least he'll still be in the finals. The next match is Shino Aburame vs Kankuro.

Shino Aburame vs Kankuro: Shino wins by default.

Shikamaru: Hey, that means my match is two match closer. What a drag.

Y/N: That is if that mummy guy shows up. 'Wonder what happened to that guy.'

The crowd started to argue about competitors forfeiting and that they came here for a real match. The crowd continues to argue until the Temari uses her fan to jump down to the arena and lands softly to the ground.

Genma: You are...?

Temari: Its my turn isn't it?

Genma: well you're sure eager one aren't you? Fine, let's start the next match then. Y/N, your next.

Y/N: 'Let's do this...'

I smirk as I jumping down while I hold my sword and landed on the ground with my feet.

Naruto: You got this Y/N!

Temari: Still got some scores to settle after what I did to your girl?

I say nothing as I'm ready to fight.

Genma: You two ready?

We both nod and the match begins but none of us made our first move.

Y/N: 'If I go first, the first thing she'll do is either disappear or use her fan.'

Temari: If you won't make your first move then I will!

She charges at me with her fan close and swung it directly at me but I made a mud wall but it was immediately destroyed. Her fan definitely looks stronger than it looks.

Y/N: 'Just whats that fan made out of!? Guess I got no choice.'

I jump away as throw some shurikens at her but she deflected them like before. But this gave me enough time to charge at her.

Temari: Running towards me? Smirk. Guess I'll finish this now. Wind style: Wind scythe jutsu!

Temari uses the same jutsu before and trapping me with it. Before that happens I immediately use my water jutsu on my sword.

Y/N: 'That won't work on me this time. Ok Y/N, focus.'

I raise my sword as I was about to be trapped.

Y/N: Enough!

I swung my sword down strong enough to stop the wind which actually surprised me even the crowd were surprise.

Kurenai: Incredible, he manage to stop her twister with just one swing.

Shino: Not even my insects can protect me from that. He's sure is something that's for sure.

Temari: 'He stopped it by just a swing? Let's see if he can stop this then.' Wind style: Cyclone scythe jutsu!

Y/N: Earth style: earth dome!

I create a earth dome to protect me from the wind. After the dome was destroyed I saw a nearby tree were cut down.

Y/N: 'Dayum. She'll definitely chop me to pieces. Guess its my turn.' Earth style: Toujinbo!

3rd POV

Everyone saw the arena is cover with multiple stone pillars.

Naruto: What!? No way, at this rate the match will take forever!

Shino: Don't worry. Its Y/N.

Naruto: Confused. Huh?

Shino: With his earth jutsu, he can pick up any vibration by using seismic senses.

Y/N uses his seismic sense to track every including to where Temari is.

Naruto: The what now?

Shikamaru: Sigh. He can track anyone with his senses.

Naruto: Oh cool, why didn't you say so?

Shikamaru: What a drag...

Temari: 'To think a Genin would make this with enough chakra. I can't use my fan like this and neither of us know where we are-'

Suddenly a kunai was thrown at her but she dodges it.

Temari: 'Does he know where I am!? I can't even see him.'

A few more kunais were thrown around her as she kept dodging them and then she hears a voice.

Y/N: Water style: Sticky water jutsu!

The water came from above as it splash her.

Temari: 'C-can't move, what is this?'

Just then all the stones crumbles down and everybody saw Temari was trapped by a sticky water as Y/N approaches her while he uses chakra on his foot to walk on the water like Jesus- I mean to avoid sticking. As he got closer, he draw his sword point it at her.

Temari: I'm not gonna surrender that easily.

Y/N: You can use your fan again if you want. If you do, then those kunais I have around you have hidden paperbombs. The second you try something the bombs will set off. In other words, checkmate.

Temari: ....I give up.

Genma: Then that settles it, Y/N is the winner of the match

I raise my sword as a victory while the crowd cheers as well as my friends.

Naruto: Alright! Wayda go Y/N!

Tenten: Great job Y/N!

Kiba: I knew you wouldn't loose that easy!

I head back up while temari frees herself even though it took a while.

Shikamaru: What a drag, now I need to train harder to beat you.

Y/N: You'll be fine after you defeat that mummy guy.

Shino: If he's around.

Genma: The next match will be Shikamaru Nara vs Dosu.

Shikamaru: Well, guess I'm next-

Genma: I'm sorry to announced that it appear has not show up to the finals, he is now disqualified and Shikamaru Nara is the winner by default.

Shikamaru: Huh, what do you know. Guess I'm lucky.

Y/N: First Shino now Shikamaru? I guess the other most of the villages shinobi aren't in a mood to fight.

Shino: Even after all the training we did for a month.

Shikamaru: So all that's left is Sasuke vs Gaara. If he is here.

Naruto: What are you talking about!? He'll be here!

Y/N: OK, I think we can all agree that Sasuke lost his direction.

Naruto: No way! Even if he was, Kakashi sensei would be there for him! Just watch!

Naruto jumps down as Shikamaru and I try to stop him.

Y/N: Woah wait Naruto!

Shikamaru: Damit Naruto don't jump in otherwise people will think it your turn!

We both jump down to stop him but then Naruto shout out Sasuke name. After a few minutes of arguing, the leaves appears and started to spin like a small tornado and then someone appears. Sasuke and Kakashi.

Y/N: Mutters. Sasuke sure does look different, but how will he able to go to the bathroom with that outfit?

Kakashi: Sorry we're late.

Genma: Smirk. And your name?

Sasuke: Sasuke Uchiha.

Naruto: I told you he'd make it on time.

Y/N: Oi Sasuke! Did you get lost or something? You're lucky Kakashi sensei found you before you're late.

Sasuke started to glare at me until he saw Gaara leaves the waiting room. But something looks different from Gaara, as if he really looking forward to kill someone. Naruto, Shikamaru, and I head back to the stair.

Naruto: Will you guys hurry up now?

Shikamaru: Relax Naruto, nothing good's gonna happen if you panic too much.

Y/N: Not to mentioned after all that Neji punches you took.

Naruto: Hey it was a good fight. Huh?

Just as we were on the stairs Naruto saw someone at the next floor making us see as well. We saw a grass ninjas at the hallway waiting for someone which is Gaara.

Shikamaru: What are they up to-

Through my instinct, I immediately put my hands on shikamaru mouth to shut him up as a shook my head.

Y/N: Whispers. Don't do anything, something doesn't feel right.

Naruto: Whispers. What do you mean?

Y/N: Whispers. I don't know, but I haven't felt this chill since-

Suddenly the grass ninjas attacks Gaara but then he uses his sand to brutally killing one as he screams while the other tries to run for his life but Gaara caught him and drag him to the dark. Soon his screams went silent and all we heard was footsteps as we just stay still saying nothing while sweating. As soon as he pass us without noticing us and out of our site, we all sat down on the stairs breathing heavily.

Shikamaru: Beathes heavily. If we'd have come up the stairs even a second earlier, that could've been us by now. I've never seen anyone kill people without hesitation like that....Y/N, when was the last time that ever happened?

Y/N: Breathes heavily. ....Back in the forest of death. We were only lucky because his team convince him to leave.

Shikamaru: Things won't look good even for Sasuke. Naruto, do you remember what he said yesterday? What Gaara said?

Naruto: he said "I will kill you all without fail. Just wait."

Shikamaru: That's what he said yey he didn't do it. It was a perfect opportunity but I don't think he even see us or something.

Y/N: If I had to guess, he's only focusing on one goal.

Naruto: And the only one is sasuke.....we have to tell Kakashi sensei right now!

Shikamaru: what're you planning to do?

Suddenly Naruto ran while I follow him while Shikamaru is behind.

Naruto: We gotta stop the match before its too late!

Y/N: I just hope whatever he's doing isn't something stupid even with sharingan. Damit I warn him, but that idiot never listen!

As soon as we arrive to where Kakashi and guy sensei is, Naruto tries to warn Kakashi to call out the match while I see what's going on in the match. After a few minutes, Sasuke manage to injured Gaara with his specialty known as Chidori. Causing Gaara to freak out which took me by surprise. Soon, I saw feathers falling out of skies and I realize what it was.

Y/N: 'Genjutsu!?' Handsign. Release!

I look around and saw the whole crowd fallen asleep, there was no doubt, this was a whole trap.
