Y/N POV

Only about 79 of us made it out of the first test. Now we're in our second test and I'm starting to see why Shino mentioned that this isn't an ordinary forest. Even just by looking at it from distance I can see how dangerous it is.

Sakura: Nervous. This whole place just completely creeps me out.

Y/N: You're welcome to step out if you're scared. I'm sure Ino wouldn't mind stepping out either.

Ino from distance: 💢 I heard that!

Sakura: 💢 N-no way I'm not! I'll prove it to you!

Anko: This place is called the Forest of Death, you'll soon realize why.

Naruto: Hmph. Mocking Anko. "They can this place the forest of death, you'll soon realize why." That kind of threat won't work on me! I'm not scared, Haha!

Y/N: 'Classic Naruto. I'd be surprised if he succeeded in this test first-'

My thoughts were interrupted by Anko throwing a kunai near him enough to scratch his left cheek as she scares him. Just then I notice another person appearing behind Anko with her tongue stretch longer than any human. She simply return Anko kunai that she threw.

Hinata: Worried. Naruto...

Y/N: Yeesh, and they say this forest is creepy.

Kiba and Akamaru nodded.

Shino: Either way, don't let your guard down during the test...

Y/N: Agree. Especially from that creepy long tongue person group. 'Don't know who she is but she's definitely dangerous. So we'll have to avoid her group and Gaara's group too.'

Time skip

After going through Anko explanations. Our task is simple, survive for 5 days in the forest and find and steal the heaven or earth scroll from another group. We have heaven scroll so we'll be after the earth scroll, as soon as we got ours we head to our gate which is gate #16.

Kiba: Yeah! We rock at survival so there's no way we can lose. Hinata, don't show your weakness.

Hinata: R-right.

Shino: We'll be find as long as we stay close.

Y/N: This won't be easy since most of the ninjas will target us rookies. Chuckles. They've underestimated us.

Shino: So they're gonna expect an easy win huh?

Kiba: Grinn. Let's prove them wrong.

Akamaru: Arf!

The jonin unlocks the door and wait for the time to start. I then notice that Hinata was a little worried so I cheer her up.

Y/N: Hey don't worry. If we make it out, I'm sure Naruto would be glad to see you survive.

Hinata: Smiles. Thanks Y/N.

Just as soon as the doors open the four of us rush deep to the forest and found a clear spot.

Kiba: OK, first thing we gotta do is to find them first. To me and Hinata. Are you two ready?

Hinata: Yes. Byakugan!

Y/N: Let's do this. Earth style: Seismic senses jutsu!

After a minute Hinata and I already scanning the area.

Shino: Anything?

Hinata: Nothing from my byakugan range. What about you Y/N?

Y/N: Nothing- wait I got something...three ninjas not far from here. judging by their footsteps, they're not the sound ninjas.

Kiba: Wait, how do you know they're not?

Y/N: Back in the first test before it started I manage to catch their speed by their footsteps. Causing vibration for me to sense.

Shino: Where they headed?

Y/N: Towards us.

Hinata: Oh no.

Kiba: Then well have to get ready.

Akamaru: Arf arf!

Shino then looks around and I notice he's up to something.

Shino: I got an idea but we'll need distraction.

All of us were quiet until one of us voted

Y/N: Ah what the heck, I'll do it.

Hinata: Wait I think its best to stick together.

Kiba: She's right, we don't know this place forest better.

Y/N: I can use my seismic senses to find you guys easily. Shino can do it but he has a plan, you and Akamaru can provide defense while Hinata helps Shino.

Shino: Agree, just to be safe I'll use my insects to signal you.

Hinata: Just be careful.

I nodded as I head out towards the ninjas

Short time skip

Right now I'm hiding on a branch tree waiting for them to come. Its risky but it'll at least buy my team time. Just then I saw the ninjas heading this way and by the look of their headband it looks like they're from hidden rain. At first I wanted to see what are they up to but then I was interrupted by shino insects as they're drawing my attention.

Y/N: 'Looks like they're ready. Gotta make this count-'

???: We know you're here rookie.

Y/N: 'Damit they found me! Guess I got no choice.'

I reveal myself but still standing on the tree branch with my hands up.

Y/N: OK OK, I'm not fool enough to fight you guys alone.

RainGenin: Smirk. Going alone was a big mistake.

RainGenin2: So if you don't want to die here then hand us the scroll.

Y/N: OK, we could try your way but we will try my way first.

RainGenin3: OK, fair is fair......wait what?

I threw a smoke bomb at them giving me the chance to escape.

RainGenin1: Really!? "Fair is fair"!?

RainGenin3: Come on I doubt he'll do anything else. Besides he could lead us to his team, plus this makes it fun to chase him.

RainGenin2: After him!

I saw them chasing me. Luckily I planted couple paper bombs to slow them down. Just as soon as I regroup with my team on the ground, I notice that they didn't do anything.

Y/N: What happened? I thought you guys set up a trap.

Shino: We didn't because we didn't have any supplies.

Y/N: Snap! Hits my head. I forgot to leave some supplies for you guys.

Kiba: OK new plan, we make a run to the tower!

Hinata: What, but why?

Kiba: because if the tower is where everyone gonna be heading, then we'll set a trap near and take the scroll off whoever we catch.

Akamaru: Sniff sniff. Growl.

Kiba: Well well, we got company already.

Y/N: Huh?

Next thing I notice the same ninjas arrive and were on the tree branches. I was about to grab my sword but Shino stop causing me confused.

RainGenin: Heh, rookies. Just standing out in the open like they wanna get caught.

RainGenin3: they know we're here but they haven't pinpoint us yet. Heheh

Just then raingenin started to shake as if he's paralyze and the others were confused until they saw something big on his back. Soon it reveals a puppy-size leeches sucking his blood.

RainGenin2: What is that thing!?

More of those landed on them from above while we were at a safe distance.

Shino: Look that the leeches found them, they sense body temperature and ambush a prey from about. If they suck them for five minutes then its all over.

Suddenly a trap was set off and the rain ninjas were trap hanging on a net. Soon they were unconscious as the leeches leaves

Y/N: Shivers. Please tell me those aren't yours too Shino.

Shino: No, they're too big for me.

Y/N: Oh thank god, I don't wanna get near those things for sure- oof!

Kiba pushes me to the tree as he's holding my neck with his arm while pointing a kunai at me with a serious look. Hinata was about to stop him but Shino stop her.

Y/N: Woah woah hey I'm on your side!

Kiba: On our first training, what was the first lesson that our sensei taught the four of us?

Y/N: Are you crazy!?

Kiba: What was it!?

Y/N: Basic chakra control! Basic chakra control!

Kiba let's go of me as I catch my breath.

Kiba: Sorry about that, we needed to know if it was you. Even though Akamaru recognize your sense

Y/N: What happened while I was gone?

Hinata: Well while we were setting up the trap someone made their appearance similar to you to get us off guard but luckily Akamaru and Kiba knew before he arrived.

Shino: So we basically had to make sure it was you completely.

Y/N: For a minute I thought you guys were gonna try to kill me, but I might've done the same if I were in your position. So we basically gotta ask each other what we only know about each other.

Hinata: Yes, otherwise it would lead us to a trap.

Y/N: We should probably get their scroll while they're still unconscious.

Shino: Agree.

Kiba brought down the next while the rest of us are still on guard uncase they try to sneak attack us. Just as we search, we found one but unfortunately it was a heavens scroll.

Kiba: Aw man we already have a heavens scroll.

Akamaru: Arf arf.

Kiba: Not a bad idea, we should take the scroll just in case they steal one from ours.

Y/N: Good idea, we should get going before anyone comes.

Hinata: Right.

Kiba tosses the scroll to me and we head out.

Time skip forest of death day 2

Its been only a day and so far we haven't seen anyone else, at least avoiding unnecessary fight we ran to. Right now we're running low on food as we're in a safe area to regain our chakra.

Y/N: Damit we're short on food and water.

Kiba: Yeah well at least Choji isn't in our team. He'd probably be out of his favorite chips by now.

Y/N: Good point.

Shino: It looks like we may not have much of choice then.

Y/N & Kiba: Hm?

Shino: The three of you should go and look for food and water while me and Hinata stay and guard the scroll, since you two have strong senses you can watch your back.

Y/N: Sounds like a plan. We'll regroup as soon as we can.

We take a look at the map of the forest before we separate. Kiba, Akamaru, and I went ahead.

Kiba: Sniff sniff. I can smell an animal, we can catch it before it makes a run.

Y/N: You two go after it while I go to the river. This'll go quick if we split up.

Kiba: Got it, just watch your back.

I nod before I went the other way towards the river. An hour later I look around before reaching the river. As I drank water I sense someone else near, so I act like no ones near. Just as someone was close enough to my range I immediately draw my sword enough to place it on the ninjas neck. I realize it was Tenten but u didn't want to take my chances

Y/N: What was my goal that I shared with you.

Tenten: Woah easy! You told me that you'll become the greatest swordsman in the Konoha!

Y/N: Lowers my sword. Phew, sorry I had to make sure it was really you.

Tenten: Someone transformation huh?

Y/N: Yeah but shouldn't you be with your team?

Tenten: I'd ask the same.

Y/N: Fair, just gathering some water and let me guest, scouting?

Tenten: I'm trying to finding Lee since he hasn't regroup.

Y/N: Soooo....you happen to have the earth scroll?

Both of us were silent for ainute until we both took out our weapons.

Tenten: Nuh uh I'm not giving it to you!

Y/N: Wait!

Tenten: We may be friends but I'm not gonna lose that easi-

Y/N: No wait! Someone's else is here.

We both went back to back and notice that we're surrounded by hidden waterfall ninjas along with their shadow clones.

Tenten: We're surrounded!

Waterfall ninja: Looks like we got some extra scroll here fellas.

Y/N: Great......Did you guys get lost?
