Its now morning and Y/N is heading to the training grounds but as he walks he notice Shino, Kiba, and Akamaru and greets them.

Y/N: Morning guys.

Shino & Kiba/Akamaru: Morning/Arf

Y/N: So you guys heading to train right Shino?

Shino: Yeah, but first we're gonna go check up on Hinata. After what happened in her last match.

Kiba: I hear you, but even though she lost she did her best.

Akamaru: Sad tone whimpers.

Kiba: Pets Akamaru. So you coming as well right?

Y/N: As much as I'd like to, I gotta head to training.

Shino: Even on the first day of preparation?

Y/N: Yeah. Believe it or not, when it comes to training I gotta be there on time. Don't want to be late like that time.

Flash back

5 minutes late for training in the morning

Y/N: Shouting. I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm truly sorry!

Lilith: GET BACK HERE! YOU DESERVE TO DIE THOUSANS TIMES FOR BEING LATE AND KEEPING ME WAITING FOR YOUR TRAINING!

Lilith chase Y/N everywhere at the village including through the forest as she throws any ninja tools even her jutsu at him. This lasted through a whole day until midnight.

Flash back ends.

Shino:.....Glad I won't be training with her.

Kiba and Akamaru nods.

Y/N: Yeah...I better get going.

Y/N offer Shino a handshake which he accepts it.

Y/N: Smiles. Lets do our best for the finals

Shino: Nods. Good luck.

He wave his hand before leaving and heads to training.

Time skip.

Y/N POV

I made it to the training ground near the river and sees Lilith close by.

Y/N: Morning Lilith.

Lilith: Morning, looks like you actually got her on time.

Y/N: Sweating. Y-yeah...So what are we training?

Lilith: For starters, let's spar. To see how good you are since the last time we fought.

Y/N: Sounds good to me, but I won't go easy on you.

Lilith: That's the plan. Begin!

I throw 4 shurikens at her and she block them with her kunai as I rush towards her with my sword out but she uses fire ball jutsu where I dodged it. Just as I got close enough and I swing my sword at her and she blocks it.

Lilith: Not bad at dodging it. Smirk. Let's see how you do well with this.

She kicks me back where I retaliate and saw her doing hand sign. I rush towards her trying to stop her.

Lilith: Wind style: Blade twister Jutsu!

She inhales and blows air creating a twister and I quickly made hand sign.

Y/N: Earth style: Mud dome jutsu!

I use a mud dome to protect myself from the twister but soon the twister started to cut the dome and destroys it before it knocks me back to the ground. After the twister disappear, Lilith came to check on me.

Lilith: You alright Y/N?

Y/N: Groan. I'll get back once my head stops ringing...

Lilith chuckles before helping me up and picks up my sword for me.

Lilith: Have you ever counter any element attack.

Y/N: Sigh. No, I mostly dodges it,create a mud wall for protection, or attack before the opponents release their element.

Lilith: I see the problem now. I guess I should teach you something new.

Y/N: Excited. Really?

Lilith: Yup, remember your elements release?

Y/N: Yeah why?

Lilith: Knowing your hidden element release, you have kekkai genkai. Which you also have water release.

Y/N: Really!? Wait, why didn't you tell me if you knew.

Lilith: If I did them someone might've find out with your earth release and putting the pieces together. But I'm sure no one will find out as long as you don't use it too much.

Y/N: Fair. So what water style are you gonna teach me?

Lilith: I'm gonna show you some couple water styles that you may need. After that, we're going on a main event for your training.

Y/N: Sweet!

After 2 weeks of training and sparring, I manage to learn water wall, water trumpet, and sticky water jutsu. Today I'm heading back to the training ground near the waterfall with Lilith.

Lilith: Gotta say, you're getting better with your water style.

Y/N: Smiles. Thanks, so is there any other water style you can teach me?

Lilith: Unfortunately no.

Y/N: Confused. Why?

Lilith: I got something important to check. You'll have to do try to make one on your own. But I could give you some tips before I go and trust me, it'll do something with your sword skill.

Y/N: Really!?

Lilith: Chuckles. Yeah, you see that waterfall?

She points at the waterfall.

Lilith: Just with your sword, I want you to split it. Making it look like two waterfalls in one river.

Y/N: just that?

Lilith: Along with carrying these on your wrist.

She hold out two large bracelet that each carries amount of weight.

Lilith: As long as you have these on as you're swinging your sword, you'll be fast with your sword in the long run. Once your body gets use to it, you'll switch it to a heavier one. Smiles. Good luck.

Lilith then poofs leaving me by the river as I put them on, so far they're heavier as a large stone.

Y/N: So I just gotta split it with my sword... OK, let's do it.

I stand right by the edge of the waterfall holding my sword. Then I swung my sword upwards but all I end up is causing a splash and got soak and wet. I kept swinging multiple time but still nothing. Time past by and I notice the sun is setting, so I wrap up for today and head home.

Y/N: 'Split the water in two. How exactly with just the sword?'

I lay down on my bed trying to think but I decided to sleep and figure it out tomorrow.

3rd POV

Meanwhile at the The 3rd hokage office, he was at his office and suddenly an anbu came by the wonder as he wasn't alarmed.

Hiruzen: Anything you like to report?

Anbu: He's learning water style and found out his wood release is kekkai genkai, he's been learning a few water jutsu. But he'll be training with his sword from now on until the final exam comes.

Hiruzen: Good, but right now I want you to keep an eye on him from distance. I may have yet fear that Orochimaru is on the move. So we must stay vigilant.

Anbu: I understand.

Hiruzen: You may start tomorrow. Right now Orochimaru only has one goal but nothing involve with him.

She bows before leaving.

Anbu: 'Nothing won't happen to him. I'll watch over him until he's ready. That's a promise I'll never break sister. Until the end.'

Time skip to the final week before the final

Y/N POV

I head to train once again but this time in a middle of the day. Just as I stand on the edge again, I notice naruto at the bottom of the waterfall. It looks likes he's trying to do something while there's a adult next to him with his hair white.

Y/N: Oi Naruto!

Naruto: Huh? Y/N! How's it going?

Y/N: Hold up, I'll get down there in a minute.

I focus my chakra flowing through my feet as I head down.

Y/N: Doing well so far with my training. What are you doing here?

???: Well I'm training with him.

I saw the old man whose look to be in 50s.

Jiraya: Allow me to introduce myself. My name's Jiraya, one of the great legendary sannin! And I'm here training naruto to master his skills.

Y/N: Cool, I'm Y/N. And I'm gonna be the greatest swordman in konoha. Nice to meet you.

Naruto: Hey can we focus on my training!?

Jiraya: We're getting nowhere!

Naruto: But this time this one got legs!

Jiraya: Its still a tadpole!

Y/N: Woah woah what exactly are you guys training?

Naruto: Summoning jutsu obviously!

Y/N: Oh yeah I can do that.

Naruto: What!? Teach me how to summon a toad!

Y/N: Woah calm down. I haven't actually use summoning, even so I summon differently than yours.

Jiraya: Curious. What's your summoning?

Y/N: Salamander, a friend of mine gave me a scroll to sign before I join the team.

Naruto: Ooooh can you show me?

Y/N: Well, we still got a week before the finals, so I guess why not.

I bit my finger and did hand sign before withing the ground.

Y/N: Summoning Jutsu!

A large cloud of smoke appears and then a adult size salamander appears with a can.

Ethyl: Hmm? Oh you must be a new summoner Lilith was talking about. I'm Ethyl.

Y/N: Woah...my first salamander I summoned.

Ethyl: Hmm? Looks at Jiraya. Jiraya? Good to see you. How's my cousin Gamabunta?

Jiraya: Ethyl, its been a while. He's been doing alright. Still a real handful.

Ethyl: Same ol' Gamabunta. So what have you summon me for?

Y/N: Oh my names Y/N and I summoned you to show them my summoning jutsu.

Ethyl: Least its good to see a familiar face.

Y/N: Sorry about that. I better get back to training though.

Ethyl: Curious, what are you training?

Y/N: Just splitting the waterfall in two.

Ethyl: Let me guess, Lilith told you to do that? I nod. Same ol' Lilith. I wouldn't be surprise since her master did that too. Sigh.

Y/N: Really?

Ethyl: Indeed, why don't I show some couple tips before you get started?

Y/N: Smiles. Sounds great!

Ethyl: Oi Jiraya, let me know if you guys summoned Gamabunta. I'd like to talk with him for a bit.

Jiraya: Alright.

Y/N: Good luck Naruto!

Naruto: Smiles. Thanks!

I head back to the top of the waterfall with Ethyl as we both stand on the river.

Ethyl: OK, from what Lilith told me, you have water release correct?

Y/N: Yup, been training on the first 2 weeks.

Ethyl: I see now, looks like she forgots to explain the important part. So in order to do that with your sword. You need to let the water flow through you like salamander doing nothing but let the river do its job. In other words, become one with the flowing water. When the time is right, you catch the river and redirect it to the opposite.

Y/N: Huh...doesn't sound hard.

Ethyl: That is if you understand what I mean. Then you can split it to two.

Just then a impacf of strong wind came right at us and we saw where it came from revealing a gigantic toad.

Ethyl: Looks like that blond hair kid did it. Hey Gamabunta! Long time no seen!

Gamabunta: Sees Ethyl from distance and shout. Ethyl? Don't tell me you were involve with this!?

Ethyl: Shout. Not at all cousin. I see that Blondy kid manage to summoned you. So that kid's gonna be your master?

Gamabunta: Never!

Gamabunta tries to get Naruto off of him by leaping everywhere but Naruto just hold on to him.

Ethyl: Chuckles. Same ol' Gamabunta. To me. Well I better get going Y/N, that's all I can show you. But I look forward to see who else you might summoned.

Y/N: Thanks, until next time Ethyl.

We both wave before he disappears and I continue to train with the important part.

Time skip in nightfall.

After training, I went to go eat with my friends and chatting about our training. Shino has been doing great with a help of Kiba, Kurenai, and Akamaru help. I also told them that I was doing great and almost done with my training. After we ate we all head our homes and I took a shower before going to bed.

Y/N: 'I'm not giving up. But what is it I'm missing?'

I turn off the shower and try to reach my towel but then my arm was dripping water. When I saw how water flows through my arms and I finally realize it.

Y/N: That's it- oof!

I accidentally slip and fell.

Time skip to the next day at the training ground.

I stand on the edge again and this time I finally understand on what's the key to do it.

Y/N: OK, just only need one day. I'm not gonna fail this time!

I began to swing my sword again and again but still haven't succeeded yet I'm still going. Won't give up even if its a last second of before the finals. Few hours later sun was setting but I'm still at the waterfall yet nothing that success.

Y/N: DAMIT! I WON'T GO DOWN! ONE LAST TIME!!!

Just then as I swung one last time but this time I let my sword follow the river and with my full force, I swung my sword as it leaves traces of water at the tip and redirect it to the opposite direction and at last, the waterfall finally split to two.

Y/N: Yes! I did it!

???: I knew you can do it.

I look at where the voice came from and saw it was Lilith leaning on the tree.

Y/N: You were here this whole time!?!?

Lilith: Smirks. Yup, now show me.

Y/N: Huh?

Lilith: Take off the bracelets and swing you're sword. But this time use a little of your water trumpet at your sword as you swing it and cut that boulder I made for you in half.

I approach to the boulder after I took off the bracelet and I shoot a little bit of my water trumpet at my sword as I swing it. As I swing it around I aim directly to the boulder.

Y/N: Argh!

After that, I saw the boulder cut cleaned as the top part fell smoothly, causing me surprise.

Y/N: Woah....

Lilith: Claps her hand. Congratulations Y/N, you finally master your sword skills. Smiles. With it, you can slice all four elements.

Y/N: Alright!

Lilith: Serious. But know this, when it comes to lightning you won't be able to stand a chance. So keep training, I know you can do it.

Y/N: Thank you so much Lilith! Now I can definitely fight as a swordsman shinobi!

I immediately hug her as she hugs back.

Lilith: Now get some rest but don't train too much. You'll need to save your strength for the finals.

Y/N: Got it! Thanks again Lilith.

Lilith: Yeah. Smiles. Let's go. Oden is on me.

Y/N: YOSH, LETS GO!

I immediately grab her and ran back to the restaurant. After that I went and to get some sleep happily to know that I'm ready for the finals.
