3rd POV

Its only been two days since Iruka sensei learned about Y/N wood jutsu as well as Naruto graduated. All in all, they are now ninjas. However, this journey is only the new beginning. We now see Y/N waking up by someone knocking his door.

Y/N POV

Man, its way to early to wake up, gotta be like 6 in the morning. Though I wouldn't be upset, today's the day where we'll be joining in a 3 man squads, 4 if you count the jonin aka an elite ninja. I dress up and answer the door and then I saw it was Lilith.

Y/N: Morning Lilith, why are you here?

Lilith: I heard you're gonna be joining a squad so I just wanna let you know that you should bond with your squad no matter who it is. Plus I wanna give you something.

Lilith bit her finger and made hand signs before hitting the floor.

Lilith: Summoning jutsu!

A smoke cloud appear and I saw a size of a hound salamander with a scroll on its back.

Y/N: Woah! Your summoning animal is a salamander, cool!

The salamander then saw Lilith.

Salamander: Hey Lilith, been a while hasn't it. Let me guess, here for a contract?

Lilith: Good to see you too. The contract is for my friend here.

Salamander: OK then, here you go.

The salamander hands her the summoning contract.

Lilith: Here, this is for you Y/N. All you have to do is sign the contract so you can summon the same animal as me. But only use it when you required an extra hand to turn the tides.

Y/N: Cool. So I just gotta sign it?

Lilith: Yup, though you may have to sign it with your blood and leave a stamp of your finger prints.

Y/N: Got it.

I bit my thumb causing it to bleed and sign my name along with my finger prints. After that, I close the scroll and hand it back to the salamander.

Salamander: Alright, you're set now. I look forward to see who you may summoned. Welp, until next time folks.

Lilith: Smiles. Thanks for the scroll buddy.

She wave before we saw the salamander poofs.

Y/N: I wonder what my salamander would look like.

Lilith: Don't worry, it'll be cool summoning them. Though I am looking forward to see who you'll summoned as well.

Y/N: Smiles. Thanks again Lilith.

Lilith: Smiles. Consider it a parting gift. You should get ready to head out. Best of luck Y/N.

We wave at each other before she left. After that, I change to head out as well as putting my ninja headband.

Y/N: Yawn. 'Man, I don't think I can take anymore surprises. At least in a weird timing stuff.'

I head out and walking to the academy.

???: Hey Y/N!

I look behind me and saw Tenten approaching me with a scroll on her hand.

Y/N: Yawn. Good morning Tenten.

Tenten: Good morning Y/N.

Tenten join me as we head to the academy.l together.

Tenten: Excited to join a team?

Y/N: Definitely, though I wonder if whether we're gonna be on a same team or separated.

Tenten: Really?

Y/N: Well um I mean we've known each other for some times right? But either way, we can always look out for each other.

Tenten: I guess you're right. But just in case we're not, I want you have to have this.

Tenten hands me a scroll and I opened it just then it poofs a small cloud of smoke. After the smoke was gone, my eyes were wide open.

Y/N: NANIIIIII!? Y-you...t-this is, for me!?

It was a sword. My very first sword I've ever had. I unsheathe it a little bit so see the blade and I can see my reflection.

Tenten: Yup. To be honest, that sword was in the store for quite long time. So I decided to take it and hand it to you.-

I immediately hugs Tenten as a thanks.

Y/N: Its perfect! Thanks Tenten! I really owe you one big time!

Tenten: Blushes. Y-Yeah, anytime Y/N. Figured you'd need it if you ever gonna be a greatest swordsman shinobi
Y/N: Oh crud we better hurry before we're gonna be late!

Tenten: Oh um, yeah let's go!

We ran towards the academy.

Short time skip

As we head inside the classroom, we saw our friends are here as well sitting and I look at the clock revealing that were 10 minutes early.

Y/N: Phew, we made it huh?

Just then most of the classmates saw something unexpected.

Y/N: Bro Naruto, you were supposed to give someone some flowers first and then you kiss.

Naruto and Sasuke immediately move away and spit out. Suddenly some of the girls started to glare at Naruto.

Naruto: Wait, I sense danger...

Sakura: Growl. Naruto...

Naruto: Woah Woah! It was an accident!

Sakura cracks her knuckles while glaring at him.

Sakura: You're dead!

Naruto: Wait hold on!

It was too late as they started to beat him up while I sit next to kiba.

Y/N: Hey kiba, how's it going?

We both fist bump as I sit down.

Kiba: Excited as you are. Cool sword by the way.

Y/N: Yeah, got it from Tenten before we head to the academy.

Kiba: Oh so is that her looove gift.

Y/N: What no! I mean it is a gift but I-I mean well I did told her that I'll become the greatest swordsman shinobi so yeah.

Kiba chuckles as I blush and there's steam above my head.

Kiba: Yeah yeah, just try not to cut yourself or she'll patch you up.

After having other conversation, Iruka sensei arrive with a paper on his hand and we all sit.

Iruka: Alright class. As of today, you are all ninjas. However, you're still a Genin, the first level of ninjas. So from here on, you'll be in a squad of three and each squad will be lead by a Jonin, an elite ninja.

Y/N: 'As long as we can work together as equals. I don't mind who it is.'

Iruka: We want each squad with a balance of strength and ability. So that's how we set them up. I will now announced the squads.

After a few squads were announced, Iruka announce the 7th squad.

Iruka: Now then, for squad 7. Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke Uchiha.

Y/N: 'Looks like Naruto is stuck with those two. Sucks that I don't get to be in his squad.'

Iruka: Up next, for squad 8. Hinata Hyuga, kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame, and Y/N.

Hinata, kiba, Shino, and Y/N: 'Huh?'

Y/N: Wait Iruka sensei, that's four. Shouldn't I be in a different group?

Iruka: Unfortunately two days ago there was some issues from the other two which they were disqualified for a reason.

Y/N: 'Two days ago? That was when Mizuki tried to kill Iruka sensei and Naruto.'

Iruka: So you'll be with squad 8th.

Y/N: Least there's some familiar face on the team.

Kiba and I fist bump once again as we smirk.

Ino: To Sakura. How did you get in Sasuke group!?

Sakura: 'Haha! True love conquers all!'

Ino still glares at Sakura while Shikamaru was like "really?"

Shikamaru: I don't get it, why do women think think that guy is great? Its not like he's so special.

Ino: You're so beyond clueless Shikamaru. Don't you get it?

Shikamaru: No I don't, because I'm not a girl.

Ino: And that's why you are not popular among the girls. Jealousy is a terrible thing. I'd hate to be on your squad

Y/N: Roll his eyes. Yeah, look who's talking about jealous.

Ino: 💢

Iruka: now for squad 10. Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akamichi.

Y/N: So much for hate to be on his squad.

Shikamaru and I chuckle as Ino felt defeated while Choji is eating chips.

Iruka: Those are all the squads.

At first Naruto was complaining to Iruka sensei about why would he be on a same group with Sasuke and Iruka sensei explain that Sasuke had the best score while naruto had the worst scores. So they decided to make a balance group with the best and the worst together.

Sasuke: Just make sure you don't get in my way, loser.

Naruto: Hey what did you say!

Sasuke: Hard of hearing?

Sakura: Knock it off Naruto!

Y/N: Yeesh, I got a feeling that things won't go well between those two. Not in a short run at the very least.

Kiba: Tell me about it.

Akamaru: Arf!

Iruka: Ahem. After lunch, you'll meet your jonin teacher. Until then, class dismissed.

I was about to leave until a mysterious genin with sunglasses was standing in my way.

Y/N: Umm...can I help you?

Genin: You were about to step on that insect...

I look under my foot and saw a small ant.

Y/N: Its just one ant- ooooh you're a aburame. Wait....you're Shino Aburame?

Shino: Was that an insult?

Y/N: Sorry, I didn't know it was you because you look different the last time we've met.

Kiba: Wait Y/N, you know him?

Y/N: Yeah, you met him too remember? That one time when we were little at the academy. You know, the part where we saw him playing with his bugs on the table?

Flashback

3rd POV

We see Shino with his bugs on the table while Y/N, kiba, Akamaru, and Naruto saw his insects and try to convince him that they should prank the girls with the insects bug Shino declines.

Akamaru: Arf arf!

Kiba: Oh yeah now I remember.

Shino: At least one of you didn't forgot about me...

Y/N: Give it time Shino. Just gotta give it time.

Kiba: How bout this, let's look for Hinata Hyuga and we'll get to know each other more during lunch.

Y/N: Sounds good to me.

Shino: Fair.

???: Um...hi there.

They then met A Hyuga genin name Hinata Hyuga.

Hinata: Shy. I'm Hinata Hyuga. Nice to meet you all.

Kiba: Nice to meet you, I'm kiba, this is Akamaru.

Akamaru: Arf!

Kiba: that's Y/N.

Y/N: Made a peace sign as I smile. Yo.

Kiba: And this is um...

Y/N: Whispers. Shino Aburame.

Kiba: Um yeah, Shino Aburame.

Shino: Waves. Hey...

Kiba: Nice to meet you too.

The four of them introduce themselves before leaving the classroom.

Y/N: So now that we introduce ourselves, you guys want to get some lunch before we meet our jonin sensei?

Kiba: Ichiraku ramen?

Y/N: I was thinking of oden but I'll let you guys go ahead.

Kiba: You kidding me, remember the last time you let someone went ahead.

Y/N:....yeah I'm just glad Choji didn't ordered more before Lilith dragged me out.

Hinata: Maybe we'll go ichiraku ramen.

Shino, Y/N, and kiba: Yeah...

They went to Ichiraku ramen restaurant and they were trading their back stories as well as about their clan but unfortunately Y/N told them that he doesn't have a clan. But still doesn't give up on his dream. After they had lunch, they head back to the same classroom where there's the other squads waiting for their jonin as well.

Y/N: So how long do you guys think our squad leader will arrive?

Shino: As long as it takes I guess...

Y/N: Soooo Shino, what kind of insects do you have anyway?

Shino: Most of a different kind of insects. Some would feed on chackras.

Y/N: Huh...

Kiba: Weird. Anyway as for me and Akamaru, we're pretty fast and have a strong sense of smell. Good for tracking that's for sure.

Y/N: Cool.

Hinata: I have byakugan but I'm still trying to get better at training.

Shino: What about you Y/N.

Y/N: Hm?

Shino: Even though you don't have a clan. I'm pretty sure you have a ninjutsu specialty.

Y/N: Oh, well I'm pretty good with sword but to be honest I've never actually use a actual sword before. Oh and I also have 2 chakra elements. Ones earth and the other well um...its not actually good. Yeah.

Kiba: Well whatever it is, I doubt it won't come useful.-

Just then there was a female jenin entering the classroom. Unlike the other jonins, her appearance is different.

Kurenai: You 4 must be team 8. I'm Kurenai Yuhi, and I'll be your squad leader. I look forward to go on missions with you four.

She smiles as she introduce herself. Then the four of them join her as they all head outside. Just then Y/N heard Naruto calling him.

Naruto: Hey Y/N, even though we're not on a same team, let's not give up on each other.

Y/N: Smiles. Right back at ya Naruto. Good luck.

They shake hands before they parted ways. Wherever they're going, its up to the genins to bond together in training and to prove themselves that they work together as a team.
