3rd POV

We see a kid around 11 years old who's at a playground at academy. Having a wooden stick to practice swinging as if he training to become a swordsman.

Y/N POV

Every time we have a lunch break or at least a free period, I wanted to practice swinging a wooden stick so one day I can use an actual sword when I become a ninja. As I practice I heard someone being bullied. I saw where it came from and see about 4 boys bullying the blond hair kid. They've been picking on him ever since and every time we're in lunch. I approach to them to stop them bullying.

Y/N: Hey leave him alone, he's just a kid!

Bully: Get lost, we're just teaching him a lesson.

I stood in front of the blond hair kid to shield him from the billies as I held the stick up.

Y/N: Then you'll have to get through me!

Bully2: Pfft With that stick, seriously?

The bullies started to laugh at me but soon I swung my stick and stop by an inch away from the first bully nose. Just then he back away as he was afraid to get hit. The bullies were surprise to see that the leader back away from me.

Bully3: He just swung his stick? What just happened?

Y/N: I just swung my wooden stick, nothing else.

Bully2: He's just one kid, let's get him!

Just when we're about to fight, we were stop by a teacher who has a scar across his nose.

Teacher: What's going on here!? What are you doing with the stick Y/N!?

Y/N: Sorry Iruka Sensei, I was just trying to defend that kid from the bullies. They've been picking on him.

Iruka: Is that so huh? You three go inside, I'll talk with you later. As for you Y/N.

Y/N: 'Oh man.'

Iruka: First off, don't go swinging the stick when someone's around.

Y/N: I was just practicing.

Iruka: And why's that?

Y/N: Because my dream is to be the greatest swordsman shinobi in Konoha.

Iruka: 'This kid, he sure does has a long road ahead.' Second, I just want to say thank you. For defending him.

Y/N: Confused. Huh?

Iruka: Smiles. Kids like him would need a friend like you.

Y/N: Oh um, thanks Iruka sensei.

Iruka: OK, now go inside. Class is about to begin.

Y/N: Got it, and trust me, I won't skip class. For now. Heheheh

Iruka sensei then left as I help the kid.

Y/N: Hey you alright?

They both head back to classes as the blond hair kid introduce himself.

Naruto: I'm Naruto Uzumaki, what's your name?

(Naruto with goggles I stead of hidden leaf headband)

Y/N: I'm Y/N, nice to meet you.

Naruto: Confused. Just Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah, just Y/N. I've never met nor knew my parents before.

Naruto: Oh, I've never met my parents before either.

Y/N: Oh, sorry to hear that.

Naruto: Its Ok, we should head back to class. But hey if you want, we can go get ichiraku ramen.

Y/N: The best ramen in the village!? Heck yeah no way I'm letting that slip by!

Naruto: Hihihi, soon as the class is over let's go.

We head back to class knowing that we'll become friends. We been talking a lot during class along with my other friends name Choji, Shikamaru and Kiba.

Time skip

After we left the academy Naruto and I head to ichiraku ramen and ate there.

Y/N: UMAI!

Naruto: Hihihi, you sure do like ramen.

Y/N: Sorry, I couldn't help it. Hey, maybe someday I'll bring some oden for lunch for you guys.

Naruto: Sounds great, but I'll stick with ramens.

Y/N: Alright. So hey, why were those guys bullying you?

Naruto: Oh. I told them that one day I'll be Hokage they didn't believe me unless I can fight them and win but then you helped me, thanks again.

Y/N: Oh, well if you're gonna be a Hokage then you have my support.

I gave him a thumbs up as I smile.

Naruto: So what about you, what's your dream?

Y/N: My dream? To become the greatest swordsman shinobi in Konoha.

Naruto: That sounds cool.

Y/N: Thanks.

Just then I heard someone calling my name and we saw a woman around teen who raised me.

Y/N: Hi Lilith.

Naruto: Lilith?

Y/N: She's like a mother to me even though we live in different houses.

Lilith: Come on Y/N, its gonna get late.

Y/N: Well, better go. Cya Naruto.

Naruto: Cya.

I left with Lilith as we were heading to my home.

Lilith: So hanging out with him huh?

Y/N: I know, I know. But he was alone and they were bullying him. I just couldn't stand and do nothing.

Lilith: I get what you mean, but you didn't use it right?

Y/N: No, no I didn't, I just used a wooden stick I found on the ground.

Lilith: Good to know. Just remember, only use it as a last resort when nothing else can save you or anyone else.

Y/N: Always. Just wait until I join the team.

Lilith: That is if you pass the final exam. Especially with the hidden leaf headband. Chuckles.

She gave me a noogie head rub and I try to resist it.

Y/N: Owowowow! OK OK!

Lilith: I win again. Hehehe. Alright, this is we part ways again. I'll see you around kid.

Y/N: You know one day I might get you back for that.

Lilith: Then I hope it won't be that wooden stick you always keep practicing on.

We both part ways and I head home as I think about that I should keep practicing on swinging a stick as a sword but suddenly I accidentally bump into a girl and she drop her scroll.

Y/N: Oh sorry. I was distracted.

I picked up her scroll and gave it to her and I notice it was Tenten.

Tenten: Be careful. I'm trying to practice with those.

She picks it as she held couple more scrolls. I should probably help her.

Y/N: Here let me help you.

Tenten: Thanks but I have my dad who can help me- oh its you.

Y/N: Sorry about that. Really I was distracted.

Tenten: Let me guess, pretending to swing a sword with a wooden stick huh?

Y/N: Hey I gotta practice if I'm ever gonna be a greatest swordsman shinobi.

Tenten: Just be sure to use a kunai for a backup. Best of luck by the way. Cya.

She smiles before she left and I head straight home. Once I head back home, I took a shower since I was training back at the academy. I became friends with Tenten since we were little, she wanted to become a powerful konoichi even though she doesn't have the necessary chakra control to be a medical-nin. But she's very talented with weaponry's. Though I wonder if we both go to the same team. I guess only time would tell. I head towards the bed and get ready for tomorrow as I sleep.

3rd POV

We see an anbu that's at Y/N home next to a window. She's about to wrap things up and head back to report the 3rd Hokage aka Hiruzen.

Hiruzen: I trust that things have gone well for him too?

Anbu: Yes, he hasn't use that jutsu this week not necessarily at least. But I still doubt that they'll notice it when he begins his mission next year.

Hiruzen: As long as he doesn't use the jutsu while Danzo personal anbus are around, Danzo won't take action to try to use him. But when the times is right, he'll need your help to master it well.

Anbu: I understand lord 3rd.

Hiruzen: Get some rest if you must, I have a feeling that there's a long journey ahead.

The anbu nods before vanishing as the 3rd Hokage leaves.

Hiruzen: 'You may have achieve one of the same goal Danzo, but I have a feeling that this boy would be different than yours. And I will make sure you don't try to get to him.'
