I was staying overnight with shikamaru to finish some work. We were working on some stressful deadlines and neither of us were having a good time.

"damnit what a drag" shikamaru muttered "its at times like this when I'd rather be at home cuddling neji"

"trust me I feel the same" I sighed "but there's no other choice in the matter-"

"daddy!" I was cut off by my wife hinata and shikamarus husband neji bursting through the door.

"guys what are you doing here?" I gasped.

"daddy we missed you" hinata said hugging me.

"pwease come back" neji begged.

"guys we can't. We have a lot of work to do" I said firmly.

"pwetty pwease" they begged with those large puppy dog eyes of theirs. Damnit I can't say no to those adorable hyuga eyes!

"Well I'm beat" shikamaru said hugging neji from behind "what about you oh great hokage?"

"yeah I'm beat too" I chuckled as I hugged hinata "come on baby's let's go home"
