"Did it work?" Boruto asked as he looked around, "what happened?"

"Well, the jutsu was called 'Time Space Alteration Jutsu', so maybe..." Sarada considered.

"Hold up!" Boruto stopped her, "does this mean..." There was an abrupt silence as the two kids looked around.

They were still in the Hokage's office, only there was something about it that was different.

"What if..." Boruto chuckled jokingly, "we're in a different dimension? Wouldn't that be crazy?!"

"Shut up, you idiot! Of course not! That's impossible!" Sarada shouted as she punched Boruto in the stomach, "you see where you got us? This is all--"

"Hey! What are you kids doing in here?"

The two turned to see Shizune standing at the door.

"Lady Shizune!" Sarada smiled, "look, we were--"

"You're not supposed to be in the Hokage's office!" Shizune shouted, "I don't even know who you kids are, so get out!"

Boruto and Sarada blinked with confused expressions.

"If you won't get out, then we'll have to get you out by force! Lady Tsunade doesn't like it when kids barge into her workspace!"

"Granny Tsunade?" Boruto tilted his head, "that old hag is the Hokage again?"

Before they knew it, two ANBU ninja showed up, grabbed Boruto and Sarada and dropped them outside the Hokage Estates before vanishing again.

"Hey!" Sarada was furious, "what's the big idea?! Who kicks the Hokage's son---"

"Sarada..."

"What?!"

Boruto pointed at the Hokage Faces on the side of the mountain, and there were two faces missing, "I seriously think we went back in time..."

"No way..." Sarada stared incredulously at the buildings, "you're right... No wonder the office looked so outdated."

"Yeah, no kidding..." Boruto nodded as they watched all the villagers walking through the streets, "So how do we get back?"

"I'm sure we just have to do the same thing we did before..." Sarada shrugged, "that uses a lot of chakra, though. We need to wait a while before we've recharged."

"Good idea." Boruto agreed as he watched Sarada walk ahead of him, "so where should we go?"

"I don't know... I guess we'll just have to find our way around here, it's not the same as it used to be."

"Oh, I know! Let's go tell Granny Tsunade we come from the future, and that in the future, she looks so much---"

"No, Boruto, are you an idiot?" Sarada groaned, "we have to be careful. No one can know we came from the future. We might unintentionally alter the future. Try not to talk to anyone."

The two of them froze and slowly turned around to meet the adult's gaze.

"Where is your squad? Why aren't you kids with your team?"

"Iruka-Sensei!" Boruto laughed, "you look so much younge--"

"We lost them." Sarada elbowed Boruto in the gut and smiled nervously, "we were just off to go look for them, actually."

"I see." Iruka nodded, "hold on. I've never seen you kids before."

"We're... New." Boruto chuckled, "we come from the Village... Hidden in the... Meadow..."

"What?!" Sarada whispered.

"Work with me here..." Boruto muttered.

"Really? Where are your parents?"

"They're on a mission." Sarada managed.

"Really..." Iruka smiled slyly, "you kids are hiding something."

"Nope! Nope! Not hiding anything!" Boruto denied.

"You're just making up this coy to avoid going on missions." Iruka stated.
Sarada and Boruto let out sighs of relief, "aw, darn, you caught us... I guess we have to go do our missions now, don't we?"

"You bet." Iruka said as he crossed his arms and turned to leave, "if you don't know where to go, just go to see the Hokage. You kids clearly don't know your way around here. Hm." He continued walking but stopped, "that's right. What are your names, again?"

"Uhh..." Sarada stared at Boruto, then lowered her voice, "if we give our real names, he'll get suspicious..." She turned back to Iruka, "I'm Sara... Uchi..."

Boruto snickered, "Oh yeah, I'm Boru Uzu!"

Iruka blinked, then sighed, "I don't recognize either of you. Just... If you really are new, try not to get into much trouble. We already have problems with the Genin we have in our village..." With that, he finally walked off towards the academy.

"Whoa." Boruto chuckled, "while we're here, we should--"

"Stay on the down-low." Sarada cut him off, "look, I remember Papa said something about in the past, my Uncle had massacred the Uchiha clan. If people see my clan symbol, they'll get suspicious."

"Here, I got this!" Boruto pulled out a permanent black marker, turned her around, and completed his masterpiece, "there! Since we're from the Village Hidden in the Meadow, it's a mushroom!"

"S-sure?" Boruto shrugged as he and Sarada sat down.

"Hey! Old Man! Hit me up with..."

A garrulous voice shouted loudly from behind them but slowly faded as his excitement turned into confusion.

"Lord Seventh..." Sarada whispered in shock, then turned to stare at Boruto.

"Da... So... You're Naruto?"

"Yeah." The young boy in the orange tracksuit crossed his arms, "who are you?"

"Boru Uzu." Boruto lied casually, "my friend Sara and I are visiting the village."

"Huh." Naruto tilted his head in confusion, "you look--"

"Just like you. Yeah, I know... I get that a lot." Boruto looked at the ground.

"U-uh..." Sarada adjusted her glasses, their lenses gleaming in the light, "so you're Naruto Uzumaki! It's an honor to meet you!"

"Oh please..." Boruto rolled his eyes.

"No, no, it's fine!" Naruto grinned and chuckled, "aw shucks! You know, I'm not used to all this praise..."

Sarada crossed her arms, "what about your team? Don't your team members even respect... Wait! Your teammates! Where are they? I want to meet them!"

"Oh, trust me, you don't want to meet Sasuke. He's just a pain in the--"

"That's not true!" Sarada clenched her fist and punched the counter, leaving a large crack. Boruto and Naruto held their breaths as they watched Sarada steaming with anger.

"Well, Yeesh, looks like we've got another Sasuke Fangirl on our hands..." Naruto shivered, "is she always like this?"

"Eh." Boruto shrugged, "most times she actually complains about how irritating he is..."

"You idiot! Cha, I swear I'll kill you if another word leaves those chapped lips!!" Sarada grabbed the front of Boruto's shirt.

"Whoa, you remind me of... No, never mind." Naruto chuckled, "whatever. If you want to see him that badly..."

"Yes!" Sarada smiled as Naruto turned to leave.

"Yeah, yeah..." Boruto sighed, "you guys go ahead."

"Huh?" Naruto turned around, "what are you waiting for?"

"I don't want to go." Boruto crossed his arms, "I'll catch up with you later... Sara."

"O-okay..." Sarada watched as Boruto turned on his heel and dragged his feet in the opposite direction as Naruto, who marched before her and led the way to the training fields.
