Last time
After that everyone went on to leave. After about a few weeks D-rank missions everyone on team 7 was fed up and Hiruzen saw this so he said "alright team 7 you are being assigned your first C-ranked mission".

Now

Everyone in team 7 looked at the old man excited/worried, everyone but Naruto and kakashi who looked bored and wanted to get back to doing their old missions.

Iruka who was sat next to Hiruzen also looked at the bored expressions on his old teammates faces as Hiruzen said "iruka, bring in the client" the brunette ninja nodded and walked out the door. A few minutes later, he walked back in with a drunk old man.

The man said "I am Tazuna the great bridge builder!and you are going to get me back to my home, safely............I hired professional ninja to escort me home and you give me these brats, they don't even look old enough to be ninja, especially that one stupid face" he said pointing at Naruto. Everyone noticed the decrease in temperature, the bottle in the man's hand shattered to the ground.

Everyone looked at the bottle then back at where Naruto was , he was missing. They heard a thump and looked back at the old man to see him on his ass with Naruto glaring down at him. The blonde said "you really shouldn't try to insult someone who has been trained in the art of being a ninja, they may just kill you if you get on their bad side" before walking back to the spot he was in before.

The hokage sighed and said "Kakashi, I am sending iruka with you on this mission. I think you're going to need it" he was looking at Naruto while talking to kakashi who understood what he was talking about and nodded.

Kakashi then turned to his team and the bridge builder and said "pack up everything you need for about a week's worth of travel and meet at the main gates of the village in one hour" sakura, mito, Menma and the bridge builder left.

Naruto turned to kakashi and said "if you don't turn up on time you are going into my special training programme" before leaving making both kakashi and iruka shiver while Hiruzen looked rather confused but decided better not ask when he saw the horrified faces on the two ex-anbu's faces.

3 hour later

Everyone but Naruto and iruka looked shocked to the fact that kakashi was on time, they were now about 2 hours out from the village and sakura being the annoying stupid girl she is said "mr. tazuna, are there any ninja in the land of wave" the old man shook his head which made the girl shut up.

As they were walking Naruto noticed a puddle and thought to kurama 'hey kurama is that who I think it is'

A voice replied "yeah kit it's the demon brothers gozu and miezu, looks like they are after the bridge builder, signal Bakashi and iruka about it"

Naruto looked to his teammates and did some quick anbu hand signals while his eyes signalled to the puddle both adults nodded discreetly playing along. Two chains came and wrapped themselves around Kakashi and Iruka, they were ripped apart.

Both of the demon brothers went after Menma, Sasuke intercepted the pair and kicked them in different directions. The one that was kicked to the right went after Mito and sakura who were protecting tazuna, while the other was kicked towards Naruto.

The one kicked towards Naruto stopped once he saw who he was up against, "n-Naruto-sama. MEIZU STOP! please forgive our impudence. If we knew you were here ,we wouldn't have attacked" Meizu walked over and said, "we were hired by Gato to kill the bridge builder" Naruto looked at the brothers, "understood, I suggest that the both of you go to the compound I told you about, if the midget goes looking for you, he won't
find you" the brothers disappeared. Naruto looked towards Menma and sighed, walking over to him, he held out his hand "give me your hand" he demanded.

Menma did as Naruto said, the latter took out a kunai and dragged it along the cut on menma's hand, letting it bleed out, as soon as he knew the poison in the wound was gone he put chakra into his hands and placed it over the cut which started to heal. Once it had vanished, like it was never there to begin with Menma said "why and how did you do that?".

Naruto smiled at the boy and said "I did that because the demon brothers coat their blades in a very fine poison, which is why I opened the cut more, to remove it from your system. How I did that is called medical ninjutsu. I don't know enough to be able to heal people like professionally trained medical ninja, but I can do the basic cuts and bruises. Oh and by the way here" he said passing a pill to the boy. He looked at it and said "why are you giving me a food pill" Naruto chuckled and a voice from behind said "it isn't a food pill Menma but a blood replenishing pill to replace the blood you lost from the injury and the process to remove the poison" everyone turned around to see iruka and kakashi looking bored. All of the genin bar Naruto looked at the debris of the cut up sensei to see a pile of logs.

Menma looked at Naruto for confirmation of what the teacher had just said, receiving a nod from the blond and he ate the pellet. After about 5 more hours of walking they set up camp for the night.

After a day, they had reached wave country which was shrouded in mist. They walked towards a clearing when mito through a kunai into the bush, out came a snow white rabbit, sakura started shouting at mito saying she hurt an innocent little rabbit while everyone else apart from the twins were on alert.

A second later iruka shouted "DUCK" and Naruto was quick to reply "don't worry that's just sasuke." Leaning his head to the side as a huge blade flew over his head he exclaimed, "ooohhhh, that type of duck." Meanwhile, sasuke was glaring holes into the back of his head. Laughter echoed through the area, turning to where the giant sword had been imbedded in the tree, they saw a ninja watching them amusement clear in his aura.

The ninja said "you don't change at all, do you gaki?" Naruto shrugged, "what can you say I'm one of a kind, am I not Zabuza" the masked man nodded, "look brat, the guy who hired me wants the bridge builder dead, and those two morons didn't return, I assume you sent them away" Naruto nodded while the rest of the genin and the bridge builder stared at him. "zabuza jumped down from the tree, blade in hand and said "when you find him, let me know." The missing nin shouted, "Haku" and a masked ninja appeared next to the missing nin and they both proofed away

Sasuke looked at Naruto and said "how did he know you?" Naruto shot sasuke a look, the younger realised he asked a stupid question, remembering Narutos' job, while the other three genin just looked confused as to why the blond didn't answer.

Time skip to the battle on the bridge (brought to you by the authors laziness)

Gato appeared on the bridge with his henchmen, Naruto performed a hand sign and zabuza appeared. Naruto and zabuza nodded to each other and kakashi, iruka escorted the others to a safe distance.

"Sensei, what's going on?" sakura asked as her sensei's pushed them further away from their blond teammate. Confusion laced its way on to the faces of menma and Mito as well. Sasuke however, knew what was about to happen and got himself away from his blond teammate before turning to the others and saying "let's just say it's not going to be pretty". Once they were far enough away they all looked towards where the blond and the missing nin were only to see a pile of bloody corpses and their blond teammate stood with a feral grin next to a deadly looking zabuza. Everyone was shocked except for iruka, kakashi and Sasuke who all knew what the blond was like.

Naruto walked over to them. The next day passed and the bridge was built and the 6 ninja started to head back their village. Once back they were met at the gate by the fourth hokage and his wife kushina, who immediately went and hugged menma and mito and asked them how their mission went and were surprised when they heard that the C- rank had actually turned into an A-rank mission, they boasted about how strong their children must be, much to the annoyance of kakashi, Naruto, sakura, Sasuke and iruka.

Walking towards the hokage tower,  presenting the scroll containing the mission report that Naruto so kindly wrote up for the lazy-ass known as kakashi, the blond shuck his head, before proceeding to hand in the report, and shunshin home.

The next month or so was filled with back to back D-rank missions and team seven were bored as hell. Little did they know what awaited them around the corner.
