When you meet him

This is also a few weeks before the Fourth Shinobi War. Except, the Akatsuki scenarios are just whenever.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Naruto~
You already knew of Naruto, but you never thought you'd meet him. Tales of his adventures spread throughout the village like wildfire, so it was kind of hard not to know about him. One day, you were near the gates of Konoha, just kind of standing there. You felt that you had nothing else to do, so you stood there watching the trees, the sky, and even the dirt path that stretched past the gates.
You figured you should enjoy this peace while it lasted, because, like nearly everyone else, you knew that the Fourth Shinobi War would soon be upon you. You knew it was only a matter of time before all of the hatred running through the world would become a war.
As you were standing there, you noticed four figures walking along the path headed to Konoha. As they got closer, you noticed what looked to be a girl with pink hair, a boy with black hair -who was also wearing a crop top- and a boy with blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes you had ever seen.
Your gaze remained on the blonde boy for a while. He matched the description of the famous 'Naruto' that so many spoke of. The rest looked to be his current team of Sakura, Sai, and Yamato, their temporary leader. Yep, this had to be them.
As you watched them, you noticed that Naruto and Sakura seemed to be arguing. They were only a few feet in front of the gate now, and Naruto, being Naruto, stopped arguing for a moment to survey the gate. He always liked to see who was standing around at the moment. As his eyes drifted across the area, he noticed you leaning on the left side of the gate. His eyes widened, and he just stared at you.
You had to have been the prettiest girl he'd ever seen! He took a moment to study your (h/l) (h/c) hair and your (e/c) eyes. "Woah," he said in a quiet voice. Sakura, of course, wanted to know exactly what he was looking at. When she realized it was a girl, a devious smirk appeared on her face. She nudged Naruto and said, "Well, don't just stare at her, go say 'Hi'."
Naruto looked at her for a minute before looking back to you and running off in that direction. As you saw Naruto running, you wondered what he was doing. You grew even more curious when he stopped right in front of you.
"Hi, I'm Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm gonna be the next Hokage! Believe it! What's your name?" he asked you. You stared at him for a second before realizing that he was, indeed talking to you. "Well, my name is (y/n)," you said. He smiled and said, "That's a pretty name! You seem really awesome since a lot of people just yell at me when I introduce myself." You looked at him and smiled, "I don't see why," You replied.
He was grinning so wide that you wondered how his face wasn't hurting. His team finally got there, and they all had a small smirk on their faces at seeing you talking to Naruto. Unfortunately, they had to go report to Lady Tsunade, so Sakura said, "We gotta go, Naruto," and dragged him off towards the Hokage Mansion. But, before he left, Naruto managed to slip a piece of paper into your kunai pouch, and the paper said, 'I'll see ya around!' You smiled at the little message and went back to watching your surroundings.
Sasuke~
Everyone had heard of the rogue ninja, Sasuke Uchiha, and everyone was terrified of him. Well, everyone except you, that is. You knew Sasuke when he was a little boy, and you knew that the loveable little kitten side of him still had to be in there somewhere, so you weren't afraid.
But one day, you ran into said kitten while you were jumping through some trees. He was just chillin on a branch while his teammates trained beneath him. Now, Sasuke doesn't normally get scared, but you can manage to do almost anything. So, when you jumped to the same branch he was resting on, you scared him shitless.
He shot up, since he was laying down, and damn near fell off the tree. You looked over at him, and your eyes widened. Firstly, you'd just run into Sasuke Uchiha, who's hair still looked like a duck's ass in your opinion, and second, said Duckbutt nearly fell off a tree. He drew his sword and held it out towards you, but after a few seconds, his eyes widened as well.
"Well," you said, "I didn't expect to ever see you again, Sasuke." He put his sword away and relaxed his stance before muttering, "I could say the same to you, (y/n)." After what seemed like a small staring contest, Sasuke finally asked, "What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be in Konoha?" You looked down for a moment before saying, "A Jonin threatened to kill me if I ever came back, just because I wouldn't do whatever he wanted." His expression softened a bit before he responded, "You can join us since you're strong and have nowhere else to go."
You looked at him and a small smile appeared on your face. After the way he treated his other friends, you would have expected him to try and kill you, but you were greatful that he'd rather have you join his team. So, you answered, "I'd like that, but are you still after Itachi?"
He looked away from you. You could have sworn you saw a tear roll down his cheek, so you figured that the answer was 'no'." "He... it wasn't his fault," Sasuke choked out. Moments later, he looked back to you with his usual emotionless expression. "Well, come on, I'll introduce you to the others," he mumbled.
Kakashi~
You had already met Kakashi. He was a close friend of yours, and you'd known him since the two of you were kids. Your families had been close, so it was only natural that the two of you to become close. But, it had been several years since you'd seen the Copycat Ninja.
You were transferred to another village soon after reaching the age of 18. Still you kept hearing stories about your childhood friend, and you couldn't be prouder of him. If anything, you wished he knew how to be on time and put down his book. You also knew that many of his customs came from his teammate, Obito, who was killed at a young age.
Kakashi had changed after Obito and Rin died. His bored attitude didn't change, but he was no longer the punctual, strict follower of Shinobi Law. He used to value being on time and following the rules more than anything. After his teammates died, Kakashi was always late, and he valued the lives of people over everything else, because he never knew when he would lose someone.
Now, you were headed back to Konoha, and the only thing on your mind was seeing your friend again. You had finally been called back to Konoha by the Hokage, but Kakashi didn't know that Lady Tsunade had decided to bring you back.
As you entered the gates, you spotted his silver hair immediately. You knew it was him because of the mask and the fact that his left eye was covered by his forehead protector. He was leaning against a wall reading his book. 'Of course,' you thought dejectedly. You made your way towards him and yelled out, "Kakashi!"
He turned towards the sound of the familiar voice, and was surprised to see you standing a few feet in front of him. He closed his book and stuttered, "(Y-Y/n)? Is that you?" You literally tackled him and said, "Of course it's me, knucklehead!" He just laughed before gently pushing you off of him and helping you stand up. He gave you a closed-eye smile and you beamed back at him.
"It's good to see you again, Kakashi," You told him. "You, too, (y/n)," he responded and threw an arm around your shoulder, "how about I take you to go meet my team? Well, except for one, he kind of left. But if he comes back, I'll introduce ya to him." You laughed and said, "Sure, Kakashi, I'd love to meet your team." He smiled again and led you off to go meet Naruto and Sakura.
Neji~
You were teammates with Neji, but you'd never really spoken to him. Right now, you were talking to Lee and Guy-Sensei. You were trying your best to convince them that you couldn't train with Lee right now, because really, who could do those exercises?! Well, besides Guy and Lee, but you see my point. Neji and Tenten were just sort of watching the conversation.
Tenten was laughing her ass off, while Neji had a small smile on his face that was barely noticeable. "Guy-Sensei, please, you know I'm not as strong or fast as Lee, so I really can't follow your crazy training schedule," you argued. "Nonsense, my youthful apprentice," Guy replied, "I must continue to instill within you THE POWER OF YOUTH!"
You knew there was no real way out of this, so you just sighed and nodded your head in dismay. What you didn't realize, was that Neji had walked over and stood next to you. "Pardon my intrusion, Guy-Sensei, but I do believe that (y/n) is correct," Neji explained, "she cannot follow your training regimen, but if you will allow it, she may train with me." You looked over at him with wide eyes. To you, it was like he was attempting to save your life. "Alright, Neji, but make sure she isn't slacking off," Guy replied.
Neji nodded, and Guy ran off with Lee while yelling something about 'youth.' You finally looked over at Neji, who was staring after Guy and Lee, and smiled. "Thanks, Neji," you said, "you really saved me!" Neji acknowledged your answer with a nod and a small smile. He then motioned for you to follow as he walked back over to Tenten. She joined up with the two of you, and you all headed towards the training grounds.
Tenten jumped up and sat on one of the posts as Neji walked towards you. "We will begin with you and I sparring, then I will switch with Tenten," he said, "After that, you will switch with me, and after I spar with Tenten, we will be done here for today, got it?" You processed all of his words for a second before nodding at him and proceeding to begin with training.
Shikamaru~
Shikamaru was a family friend, you were already close with him since you were both pretty lazy. You always managed to make your mom angry with you for refusing to get off your bed on days when you didn't have a mission or training.
Shikamaru was coming over today, so you had to drag yourself out of bed in order to avoid being yelled at. Although, realistically, Shikamaru probably wouldn't have minded if you'd stayed in bed. He was probably the only person you knew that understood your desire to do nothing. However, you hated to be called lazy.
You and Shikamaru had come up with a motto to live by. 'I'm not lazy, I'm highly motivated to do nothing,' you would always tell those who called you lazy. Your mom got mad at you for sugarcoating your laziness by acting as if you were actually motivated to do something, but frankly, you didn't care.
At this point in your life, the only person whose opinion mattered to you was currently knocking on your bedroom door. You opened the door and did one of the few acts of physical contact that you didn't mind. You glomped your best friend. "Hey, Shika," you beamed, "I'm so glad you're here!" He smiled and lazily wrapped his arms around you. "Hey, (y/n)," he replied, "how are you?"
You just kept smiling as you got up and helped him stand. "I'm doing a lot better now that you're here," you beamed. He just grabbed your arm and dragged you out to his favorite spot to watch the clouds. It got you to thinking, you knew that the peace wouldn't last, and you'd probably be sent into the war along with the other 9 that you grew up with. You were a Chūnin now, along with Shikamaru and a few others. You were glad you could spend time with Shikamaru before all the problems started.
Gaara~
You first met Gaara when both of you were 5. He seemed sad, and you wanted to know what was wrong. He was surprised that you so much as looked at him, and he was even more amazed that you were ok with him being a jinchūriki.
You always believed that Gaara was his own person, and that his past didn't define him. So when he became the Kazekage, you couldn't have been prouder of him. Every time you saw him, you absolutely beamed with happiness. As for Gaara, he trusted you more than anyone he'd ever met, and that included his siblings. You had always been there for him, and he was grateful for that. Being in good graces of the Kazekage was quite a perk, and you had recently been made a Jonin, even though you were young.
Everyone knew not to question Gaara, but you still weren't afraid to tell him when he was wrong. Luckily, he listened. He listened to everything you said, and made his own judgements on whether you were right or not. Once, Gaara had even asked you how you were always right. You replied with, "Because I know you, Gaara!" He couldn't really argue with that, so he just sent you one of his small, rare smiles.
Gaara also had you working around him at all times. He would only send you on a mission if he absolutely had to. Today, he had called you to his office simply because he wanted you to be there. As you knocked on his door, he stood up and went to let you in.
As soon as he opened the door you glomped your long-time best friend. All of the other people in the room looked at you like you were some kind of crazy person. And in some ways, you were. No one would dare touch Gaara, but you knew he wouldn't mind. Well, hopefully. You had never hugged Gaara like this before, and to say he was surprised was and understatement. "Hey, Gaara!" you said excitedly. He looked at you for a moment before hesitantly returning your hug and replying with a small, "Hello, (y/n)."
Everyone in the room was still shocked and absolutely speechless as they watched you and Gaara stand up. You, once again, threw your arms around Gaara's neck, startling him a little, before he returned your hug a little bit. "It's good to see you, too, (y/n)," he said with a small chuckle. You pulled back enough to smile at him, while everyone else still held their 'wtf' face.
Pain♡
You were a new member of the Akatsuki. Why did you join the criminal organization? Well, a certain leader walked up to you while you were in the middle of your village and requested that you join them. He seemed surprisingly nice to you, so you thought, 'Why the fuck not?' And told him you'd join since your village didn't appreciate you anyway.
Now, he was walking with you to the Akatsuki base to show you to the others. You got a little scared as the two of you reached the entrance to the lounge, so without thinking, you grabbed onto Pain's arm. He glanced at you when you did this, but didn't say anything.
Instead, he just opened the door to the lounge and walked in with you. All of the other members snapped their attention to the door, since they knew the only person missing at the moment was their leader. Their eyes widened when they saw you, as none of them expected you to be a girl. They knew they were getting a new member, but what really shocked them was that you were touching Pain and weren't dead.
As you saw their stares directed at you, you unconsciously tightened your grip on Pain's arm. Pain looked down at you and gently removed you from his arm. After you realized what you hat been doing, your eyes widened and you were mentally panicking. 'He's gonna kill me,' repeated in your mind until you felt an arm wrap around your shoulders.
You stared at Pain in surprise, but he only shot you a small smile in return. He then snapped his attention back to the other members. Deidara, the male with blonde hair and blue eyes, had anime fallen along with Hidan, the guy with a huge-ass triple-bladed scythe.
Pain sent them a glare, as if daring them to say anything, and proceeded to introduce you to Tobi, Zetsu, Konan, Kakuzu, Hidan, Kisame, Itachi, Deidara, and Sasori. (he doesn't die in this story, so he's still here)
Hidan♡
Now, what can be said about Hidan? To you, he was your best friend and fellow Jashinist, but to others, he was crazy, loud, annoying, perverted, and swore too much. But, you still held him in high regard. Unfortunately, you were still a woman, which meant Hidan still made passes at you all the time.
When that happened, you would just whack him upside the head with the handle of your scythe and yell at him. That normally calmed him down, and if it didn't, you'd resort to chopping off a limb or two. He also seemed to be a little possessive of you, because whenever you spoke to another Akatsuki member for more than 10 minutes, he'd drag you off to go 'sacrifice some fuckers,' as he called it.
Today, you were chillin on the couch with Hidan, but today was his day to do the laundry, and he was not having it. "Hey, bitch," he said, "wanna do my chores for me?" You looked over at him and just said, "It's your day to do the laundry, so just fucking get it over with." He glared at you and said, "Ugh, you stupid fucking whore, you can't do anything for me, can you? Fucking bitch... I don't even know why I hang around you!" And with that, he stormed off to do his laundry.
You, on the other hand, were sitting there in shock. Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as his words sank in, sure, he called everyone 'bitch' from time to time, but it still hurt you when he used it to address you. To top things off, he questioned why he hung out with you and called you a whore. You began to wonder what you did wrong, was it really that simple for him to go from your friend to someone who hated you?
You didn't understand, but for now, all you knew was you were sitting in the middle of the Akatsuki base with tears streaming down your cheeks. Not wanting anyone to see you cry, you ran into your room and slammed the door. Now that you were alone, you just let it all out. You laid there on your bed as you sobbed quietly into your pillow, the same question running through your mind, 'What did I do wrong?'
The entire base heard your door slam, and some of the more caring members, Deidara, Itachi, Tobi, Kisame, Konan, and -believe it or not- Kakuzu came to see what was wrong. When they all got to your door, everyone paused a minute to look at Itachi and Kakuzu questioningly. The two of them just sent back glares that could kill a person.
When everyone heard you crying, they all looked at each other, agreeing that the only person in the base that could make you like that was Hidan. They argued about who would go knock some sense into Hidan until Itachi and Kakuzu, the only two not arguing snuck away to where Hidan was. Itachi told Kakuzu to handle this while he went to read a book.
Kakuzu definitely gave Hidan an earful. Many Akatsuki members didn't know this, but Kakuzu was like your big brother. He was willing to brutally murder anyone who hurt you, and he was dangerously close to murdering Hidan. Even with Kakuzu's yelling, Hidan just brushed him off, saying, "That bitch can't cry, what the hell are you talking about?!" Kakuzu sighed and finally gave up to go count his money, but if you were still hurt when he was finished, he was gonna chop off a few of Hidan's limbs.
After Kakuzu left, Hidan went back to doing the laundry. For a while, he was totally confident that you were fine, and that Kakuzu was full of shit. But, he eventually started to get worried. What if you really were crying? What if it really was his fault? After thinking it over, he decided to put down the laundry and go check on you.
When Hidan got to your room, his eyes widened at the unmistakable sound of sobbing. "Hey, bitch," he questioned, "what the fuck's wrong with you?" You shot up from your pillow at the sound of his voice. You tried to hold back a louder cry at the fact that he didn't seem to care at all, he actually sounded pissed off, like you had done something wrong.
"Go away, Hidan," you said, cursing yourself for the slight wail and crack in your voice. Hidan took a step closer to your door. He was genuinely surprised, as he'd never heard you sound so broken. "(Y-y/n), come on, open the damn door, please," he said in a softer tone. You stood up and walked towards the door. He'd called you by your real name, and that was enough for you. As you opened the door, you were surprised when Hidan pulled you into a bone-crushing hug. "I'm sorry, (y/n)," he murmured into your shoulder. You smiled a little as your replied, "That's ok, Hidan, I forgive you." Needless to say, you were glad to have your friend back.
Tobi (Obito)♡
Well, there's not much to be said here. Tobi absolutely adored you. You had joined the Akatsuki just a few weeks after he did, and he had been all over you ever since. He was especially happy that you didn't mind his company. Most of the Akatsuki thought that Tobi was annoying, but you thought his clingy behavior was adorable.
To you, he seemed kind of like a puppy. The only thing that kind of annoyed you was when he stuck candy in your hair. He'd always try to make up for it by taking you to get lots of food. He also tried to make things up to you with huggles. Yes, huggles. Huggles were what he liked to call it when he sat you down between his legs, wrapped his arms around your neck, and snuggled into your back.
Somethimes, you didn't want to huggle because you were in a bad mood. This just so happened to be one of those times. So, what did Tobi do? Well first, he tried to get your attention. "(Y/n)-chan, (y/n)-chan, (y/n)-chaaaaaaaaaaaan," he whined. "What, Tobi," you replied irritatedly. "Tobi wants to huggle," he said. You let out a sigh, "No, Tobi," you groaned, "(y/n)-chan doesn't want to huggle right now." Tobi pouted under his mask.
He proceeded to pick you up and bring you outside under a tree. "TOBI SAYS WE SHALL HUGGLE," he yelled. You just sighed as he got into the normal position. You knew that when Tobi wanted huggles, there was just no escape.
Tobi nuzzled into the back of your neck and laughed. You had to admit, not even you could resist the huggles. You shot a small smile at the childish man behind you, because somehow, he always managed to cheer you up. Meanwhile, Deidara and Hidan were standing outside the hideout watching you and Tobi. Eventually, they started laughing their asses off at the situation you were in.
You just glared at them and threw a few shuriken, one of which happened to hit Hidan right in the middle of the forehead. Hidan stared at the shuriken cross-eyed, while Deidara was laughing so hard he fell over and literally started rolling down a hill. Now, it was your turn to laugh as Deidara smacked straight into a tree. Yep, every moment around Tobi is a good moment.
Sasori♡
Sasori had been bothering you all. Freaking. Day. You were an Akatsuki member, and had somehow managed to become quite close to the 'emotionless' puppet. Currently, he was trying to convince you that you should become a puppet. You kept telling him no, but he wouldn't leave you the hell alone.
"Hey, Sasori," you said. He looked at you and raised and eyebrow. "Since you're a puppet that uses puppets," you began, "isn't that puppetception?" He stared at you for a minute before starting again, "See, if you were a puppet, you wouldn't think of stupid things like that," he stated. You shot him a glare and said, "Shut up, Sasori."
He looked at you surprised, no one would dare speak to him like that. Well, besides Deidara, that is. "You know, your beginning to sound like the brat," he muttered. You just punched his arm. He looked at you confused. "What was that supposed to do," he asked dumbly. You sighed, Sasori was your best friend and all, but he really was an idiot sometimes.
"It was supposed to shut you up," you replied. He looked at you as if he were completely unimpressed. You just looked at the floor. You and Sasori were currently sitting in the lounge, and you were finding it very hard to communicate with Sasori. He didn't understand a lot of friendly gestures, and that made you sad. It made you feel like he wasn't really your friend.
You tensed when you felt an arm around you. You looked at Sasori, extremely confused. He looked right back at you and said, "You seemed upset, and people usually do this to comfort someone, do they not?" You smiled at him and snuggled into his side. He may not understand human emotion, but times like these were one of the many reasons he was your best friend.
Deidara♡
You were the middle child of an Uchiha family, with Itachi being your older brother, and Sasuke being your younger brother. You weren't that much younger that Itachi, and were, in fact the same age as your friend and fellow Akatsuki member, Deidara.
You had followed your big brother when he left, because you couldn't stand the thought of being without him. He told you that you could come with him, but you had to promise to be careful. He loved you and Sasuke more than anything, and you knew that. That's why you knew that he lied about his reasoning for killing the Uchiha Clan. Of course, he told you everything after you left, and you definitely weren't mad at him. The only thing that worried you was your little brother, Sasuke. You had been torn between staying with him or Itachi, and you eventually decided to stay with Itachi.
You knew that Sasuke harbored a great hatred for Itachi, but what you didn't know was that Sasuke still loved you a lot. Right now, you were on the couch in the lounge snuggled up to your brother with his arm around you. Itachi was reading a book, but he enjoyed your presence, nonetheless.
That was, until Deidara came to get you to show you a new bomb he'd been working on. Deidara had to fly you a little ways from the base, so you said goodbye to your brother before you left. "Be careful, (y/n)," Itachi said as he poked your forehead and ruffled your hair. You hugged him and replied, "I will, weasel nii-san!" Itachi sent you a fake glare as you turned to follow Deidara.
Deidara took you to his art field and proceeded to show off his explosions. Part of the reason you and Deidara got along so well was the fact that you loved explosions. When you were younger, you used to drag Itachi out with you to go watch fireworks. When you got a little bit older, you started dragging Sasuke with the two of you as well. Thinking of Sasuke made your heart hurt, you didn't even want to imagine the darkness that probably filled your otouto's eyes now. Luckily, Deidara always knew what you were thinking, and sat down beside you. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders and said, "Try not to focus on it so much. Hmm." You smiled at him and nodded while he used his free hand to keep throwing explosives.
(If you didn't know, 'Itachi' means 'weasel' in Japanese. Also, 'nii-san' means 'big brother' and 'otouto' means 'little brother')
Itachi♡
You were happy to have someone like Itachi around the base. He was the only one you could be around that wasn't extremely loud. To be fair, you could have hung around Pain, but you didn't think he'd appreciate that very much. So, here you were, sitting next to Itachi under a tree, reading a book. Itachi was your closest friend in the Akatsuki, and you knew that he wasn't here because he wanted to be.
You were the only one who knew his past completely. You were also the only one who knew that he was really a spy. It didn't bother you, though, as you were kind of forced into the Akatsuki by your past, too. Itachi had always been there when you needed him, and you had always been there for him. You were the only one who could touch him and get away with it.
You would glomp your friend all the time, and he would just hug back, causing all of the other members to sweat drop. You also had a habit of snuggling up to Itachi when you were sitting together somewhere. Like right now, you were comfortably cushioned into his side while he had an arm around you.
For some reason, you were extremely fascinated by his hair. You found yourself wanting to play with it, so you finally decided to ask him. "Itachi?" you questioned. He replied with, "Hm?" "C-Can I, umm..." you trailed off, "Can I play with your hair?" He stared at you weirdly for a moment before sighing and turning and moving so that he was sitting in front of you with his back towards you.
He wasn't wearing his cloak, so you had access to almost all of his hair. "Go ahead," he said softly. You smiled and began to do different things with his hair. You put it in various buns and ponytails before simply braiding it where he usually wore it. Tobi, Kisame, Hidan, and Deidara were standing at the entrance to the base and laughing every time you had put Itachi's hair in a different style.
Itachi tried using his famous Uchiha glare on them, but it was useless 'cause at the time, you had his hair in pigtails. Itachi just decided to ignore them. As long as you were happy, he didn't care what they thought. For some reason, Hidan thought it would be funny to whack the others into the water that was in front of them, so he used his scythe to push them all in. Deidara sat up yelling, Tobi was laughing, Hidan laughed his ass off, and Kisame just didn't give a damn 'cuz he's a fish. You heard Itachi chuckle a little, and that made you smile. You decided that you definitely wanted to hear that sound more often.
