Peter watched carefully as Nadia crawled up on the bed with her mother, a curious look on her face.

     "Who that?" She asked, pointing to the baby Sierra was holding.
     "It's your little brother, Nadia. His name is Luca." He said softly, sitting beside the almost four year old. She watched, fascinated, as Luca opened his eyes, a squeaky complaint coming out of his mouth.

      "He's tiny, mummy." She said, a look of awe crossing her face.
       "Is he the baby that was in mummy's belly?" She asked, looking up at her dad, and he chuckled slightly.
       "Yes, he is, Nadia. Do you want to hold her?" I asked, looking up at Sierra, who smiled and nodded. Nadia's eyes widened, and she nodded quickly, scooting closer to her mother. Sierra gently laid Luca in his older sister's arms, and Peter scooted over, gently holding his head with one hand.

       "Hi, Luca. I promise I'm going to be the best big sister ever. No one's ever going to hurt you as long as I'm here." She whispered, and Peter smiled. Sierra looked at their two children, obviously exhausted, but there was no mistaking the pride and joy in her expression. 

       "They're beautiful, Sierra." Peter whispered to his wife, a broad smile on her face.
      "They are. And it's partly your fault that they came." He smirked slightly.
     "You didn't seem to be complaining a little while ago. Remember that night?" She blushed bright red, gently smacking her husband's arm.

      "Peter?"
      "Yes, love?"
      "Why don't you do yourself a favor and shut up?"
     "The way you're saying it makes it sound like I don't have a choice."
      "Would you like to avoid a serious injury or death?"
      "Shutting up now." Nadia giggled at her parents, looking down at her brother.
      "Don't worry. You get used to it."
