2: Stop
Six year old Peter poked Edmund's shoulder for about the tenth time. The tired, hot, and grumpy three year old did not appreciate that.
"Peter! Stop it!" He whined. Peter rolled his eyes.
How else was a little boy like Peter supposed to keep himself entertained while his mother talked to a friend and she had sent Peter and Edmund out to play. It would have been boring already but in the middle of summer it was miserable.
Peter sulked. Susan got to stay inside with mother because she was well behaved and Lucy was just a baby so she would sleep the entire time. He could be well behaved too! It was just Edmund who couldn't behave.
Peter decided if he was going to be treated like he couldn't behave he would just actually act misbehaved.
Of course, that was a horribly wrong choice, especially when Edmund was already in a particularly bad mood.
But Peter decided the sooner he misbehaved the sooner he could go home.
Edmund's whine of "Peter stop it!" Could be heard for the next ten minutes or so. When Edmund went inside to tell on him. Peter decided to see if he could bother Susan. Of course he would never bother Lucy. She had too much of a hold on his heart.
He crept into the room Susan was in. She was drawing a picture of what he assumed was a bird.
It looked more like an octopus in Peter's mind and he told her just that.
"Oh, hush, Peter. mummy says making fun of people is rude." Susan said, she didn't even look up at him.
Peter poked and made fun of Susan's drawing until Susan's calm demeanor was snapped.
"Peter! Stop it!" She cried. She fussed exactly as their mother walked by the door.
