That hug wrapping me whole, isn’t just for show.
That gleaming eye burning bright, isn’t always lit.
That confidence I build, isn’t always real.

And every laugh carries heartbreak.
Each hug will mend my bleeding wounds.
Shiny eyes shed the saltiest tears.
And the confidence you assume is there, is an invisible wall of emptiness.

I personally thought this was amazing, although a bit on the negative side, but at least we can get a hug from someone to make things a little better. :))
