Twenty Three
Jin, even though Desung was there, even though he wanted nothing to do with Yoongi’s business...jin renewed his contract with the man.
This time for three years. Three years of him being Yejun’s caretaker.
Even if Jin was scared, even if he wanted nothing to do with Desung, nor Yoongi’s ‘business’...he still had Yejun to think about. He wanted to protect the child, he needed to. And so he found himself placing his signature onto the page and handing it back to Yoongi.
The man smiled and handed the contract to his lawyer, who was standing beside them. “I’d hoped you’d sign it.”
Jin found himself looking down, blushing a little.
Another thing which had changed, during time here. Yoongi and Jin started making dinner a regular thing, and just recently had started exploring more into a different kind of relationship for the two of them. They were taking it rather slow, and they kept it pretty professional everywhere but when they were alone, but nonetheless, they were more than employer and employee, more than friends.
Jin was apprehensive about a new romantic relationship, seeing the disaster of the last one still lingered everywhere around him, constantly reminding him to be careful, to not fall into another trap.
But Jin truly believed that he could be happy with Yoongi, and the man was so understanding about everything. Especially after Jin had told him everything about his past.
Well, everything except one thing.
One name.
The lawyer walked out of the room and Yoongi scooped up Jin’s hand, pressing a soft kiss against it, which only made Jin blush harder. “There’s a surprise waiting downstairs for you.” Yoongi whispered.
“Really?” The man nodded.
“Came in about ten minutes ago.”
Jin smile brightly and got up, walking around the desk to press a kiss against Yoongi’s cheek. “Thank you, Hyung. But you know you didn’t have to get me anything.”
“It would’ve come whether I wanted it to or not.” Yoongi said cryptically.
Jin didn’t take the time to think about it. He was happier these days, Desung having gone out for the next two weeks on some kind of family emergency, leaving Jin free of his oppressive presence.
Jin skipped down the stairs, Yoongi following behind him, and the man released a gasp, his eyes widening.
For Taehyung stood in by the front doors, a small suitcase behind him.
“Tae!” Jin yelled happily, rushing to his brother and enveloping him into his arms.
“Aw, I missed you too, Hyung.”
“How is it?” Jin asked, smiling brightly.
“It’s so much fun.” Taehyung gushed, instantly spewing off all of the details.
Once he was finished, Jin gave him another hug. “I thought you said you couldn’t make it for your holiday.”
“Yoongi said he would work around my schedule, since I have some things coming up, and I’m leaving in two days, but I get to spend those two days with you! He bought me the plane tickets and such.”
Jin turned and smiled at Yoongi, standing behind them, mouthing a thank you. The man smiled and bowed slightly, walking out of the room.
“Come on, there’s so much to catch up on!” Jin said, dragging Taehyung away.
Taehyung followed his brother, but they passed by someone on their way to wherever their destination was.
“Oh...Taehyung.” Jungkook smiled brightly at the appearance of the boy. Taehyung felt a small blush adorn his cheeks.
He didn’t know what to think of the man or his boyfriend. They’d spent so much time alone, having been locked away in Namjoon’s lab, Jin always busy with Yejun or something else. He didn’t blame his brother, he never would, but sometimes it felt like they were far away again. After everything Jin had gone through to get him out of that house...it felt like they weren’t as close as they used to be, now that they were both away from their foster parents.
So Taehyung had spent his days with Namjoon and of course, Jungkook, the man almost always with his lover.
They’d...grown close, and Taehyung was lying if he said he hadn’t developed a small crush on them. But they were dating and very much in love, adn Taehyung didn’t want to intrude into that.
Jin had stopped, watching the two interact, but when he saw it grow awkward, he pulled Taehyung off once again. “Sorry, Hyung (because Jin is younger than everybody but Tae and calling Kook Hyung is 👌), But Tae and I have to catch up right now.”
“Oh...yeah. Come see me after?” Jungkook asked turning to Taehyung. With red cheeks, the boy nodded, suddenly turning as Jin dragged him down the hall once more.
His heart was beating rapidly.
He thought maybe time alone from them would help.
Apparently not.
