Eleven

As soon as Jin got home, he ran to his room to take a shower before he'd have to rush and get Yejun from school.

He hopped into the shower without much thought and quickly washed himself. As soon as he was done, he dumped his old clothes down the laundry shoot, reaching for his new clothes…

Only to realize he didn't have any. “No!” He groaned out.

He sighed, peeking his head out of the bathroom.

His room was right down the hall…

Fuck it, he'd run if he had to.

He wrapped the towel around his torso and took a deep breath; checking once more to see if the coast was clear.

And then he briskly walked for his room.

“Seokjin?”

“Shit.” He muttered. He thought the hall was empty!

Taehyung came walking down the hall, towards his brother.

Jin turned. “I forgot my clothes.” He said, smiling embarrassedly and reaching up to sweep the hair from his face.

Taehyung face grew dark and he got confused, until he realized that his wrists were displayed.

“Shit! Tae--”

“You said you stopped!” Taehyung shouted angrily.

“Taehyung!” Jin snapped.

“No! Kim Seokjin, you said that you stopped! You said that you were better and that the urge didn't come as often!”

“It doesn't!”

“Then what is that!” Jin snatched his wrist away from Taehyung's hand as he grabbed for it.

“I'm not talking to you about this!”

“You sure as hell are! Seokjin, this isn't healthy!”

“You don't think I don't know that!?” Jin turned and walked towards his room, ignoring his younger brother, who was yelling at him as he followed him.

Jin spotted Namjoon and Yoongi walking down the hall and sped up walking to his door.

Jin reached the door to his room and whipped around when Taehyung said something particularly triggering to him. “SHUT THE FUCK UP!” he screamed.

Taehyung froze in shock, his mouth clamping shut.

“What the hell is going on?” Yoongi demanded, walking up to the two.

“Nothing.” Jin said flatly, his eyes going cold as he entered his room and slammed the door behind him.

Yoongi turned to Taehyung for answers about the other's outburst, but the boy turned and ran down the hall, out of sight.

“What the hell is going on?” Yoongi growled once again. He turned to Jin's room, looking at the shut door.

“Namjoon, go get the kid. I'm not putting up with this shit.”

“Yes, hyung.” Namjoon walked down the hall, off to search for Taehyung.

Meanwhile, Yoongi stepped up to the door and knocked. “Seokjin, let me in.”

There was no response.

Yoongi growled and knocked again, this time with more force.

Again, there was no response.

So Yoongi opened the door, stepping inside of the room, ready to chew the younger out for ignoring him.

But he stopped short when he saw Seokjin.

The man had dressed, but he only had a t-shirt and some shorts on, obviously something he wouldn't wear on a normal basis.

Yoongi had his suspicions on why the older male always wore longer sleeved shirts, and getting a look at the male, his suspicions were confirmed.

Seokjin was having an episode, but Yoongi was unaware.

“Seokjin, listen to me.” Yoongi said firmly. But Jin ignored him and simply grabbed his hair, shaking his head furiously.

“G-go a-away…” He gasped out.

“You cannot tell me--”

“No! I do not want to! Go away!” Jin screamed, falling against a wall and sliding to his knees.

Yoongi rushed forward, kneeling beside him. “Seokjin. Jin.”

But it was as if he wasn't even there. The man began mumbling incoherently, the occasional 'no’ and 'go away’ the only thing being recognizable.

“Move!” Yoongi looked behind him, Taehyung rushing forward. He stood up, backing away as the younger rushed to his brother. “Jin! Snap out of it!” Taehyung yelled, snapping his fingers in the older's face.

He then slapped Jin.

The man stopped mumbling incoherent words, but his eyes still swam with a thousand emotions yet nothing at the same time.

“Shit.” Taehyung rushed to his feet and ran towards one the dresser drawers, opening it and rummaging through it before slamming it shut and opening another. “Shit! Where is it!”

He went through all of the drawers before he reached the bottom one. He cried out in victory. He turned to Namjoon. “Get me a glass of water.” He demanded.

“What is going on?” Yoongi demanded.

“Don't bother asking him. He can't see you right now.” Taehyung said quietly, looking at Jin, who was quiet now, simply staring at the wall in front of him.

“What happened to him?”

“You didn't do a background check on my brother?”

“I did, but nothing really came up.”

“Oh.” Taehyung looked back at his brother, taking out three pills from the bottle. “Guess I did a good job hiding him, then.”

“What's wrong with him?”

“Depression, trauma. He has episodes where he blacks out and has to take meds in order to snap out of it.”

“What happens without meds?”

“See that?” Taehyung sadly points to Jin. “He stays like that. Or he goes back to before. He's never told me what he sees, but it's not anything good. He can't hear or see anything but whatever his mind shows him, and it often leads to panic attacks or seizures or...hurting himself.”

“And you don't know what caused this?”

“Oh, I know what caused this. I just don't know what triggers it or what he's seeing when he has his episodes.” Namjoon suddenly came back with water.

Taehyung kneeled in front of his brother and forced the pills into his mouth and the water as well to wash then down.

He looked like he'd done this many times before. “Can you help me move him to the bed?”

“Sure.” Yoongi was the one to pick him up and place him onto the bed. He gently laid the man down and then covered him with the sheets, before turning back Taehyung.

“So you were the one to cover up everything about him. It was near impossible to dig up even his name and I was wondering why it was so difficult.”

“Yes, I hid him. I erased almost everything. Medical records, family records, addresses, everything besides his name, date of birth and where he currently goes to  school.”

“Why?”

“There were a few people he needed to be hidden from.”

“Who?”

“I'm not at liberty to tell you that. All you need to know is that Jin is getting himself help, but apparently he hasn't been getting better, so you have to watch him. If he has an episode, and he's thrashing around, usually snapping your fingers to get his attention will do the trick, but if he's too far gone…”

“I'm not slapping my son's nanny.”

“Then good luck getting the pills down.”
