A fifty-three year-old man entered the school claiming he want to see his wife. However, unbeknownst to the staff he was looking to kill his estranged wife. Entering the special education classroom where she worked, he opened fire, shooting two students and her before pulling out another gun and taking his own life. The school has since knocked down those classroom walls, leaving the space open for children to work on projects and such. They even redid their room numbering system to erase the now  nonexistent classroom number.
