Brightpaw is an ambitious young she-cat, her mentor is the deputy of the clan (Sunpounce) and she admires him greatly. Unfortunately, her focus and passion for her dreams lead to her finding it difficult to find time to socialise with other cats her age, with a small group of apprentices mocking her for her high hopes. Despite this, Brightpaw finds the strength to ignore this, training hard in the daytime while her favourite activity at night is to watch the stars from the field below, with her best friend Stormwish.
