Rainpaw:

Rainpaw has a very unhappy life that looks unlikely to improve in the near future. His mother gave birth to him during a storm, and was later struck by lightning protecting her kits under a tree. His siblings died soon after birth, and he was left alone, with no other queens or kits in the nursery. His mentor, Wishtail, gives him the comfort and kindness she can, but he has sunk too far into a vortex of misery to be pulled out. The only time he has peace of mind is staring at the rain and wondering what his mother was like, how she loved his father (Also deceased from battle). His Clan are sympathetic towards his situation but usually pay more attention to their own business than his, as they don't seem to know how to help. He is very intelligent, analytic and contemplative, but he has moderate depression and he tends to stay away from other cats.
